We could've used another mon with the type combo that can be normally caught during a playthrough. Currently Poliwrath is the only one that isn't a some kind of special Pokemon.

"starting with Goodra, Gamefreak gave the dragon type to pokémon that aren't dragons" uhm... we had that in gen 2 with a Seahorse. Or gen 3 with dragonflies. Dragons became "reptilian" very quickly. And a dragon turtle is a mythological being that is way more a dragon as a seahorse or dragonfly would be that are literally only dragontype because of name connotation.
If you buffed Scovillian in any way, he would become overpowered. With Moody and Protect, if you don't take him out within four turns, you're going to end up fighting an insanely boosted powerhouse who already has a great typing and good offensive stats to begin with.
The problem is Moody itself is such a disgusting ability that it makes anything that receives it heinously broken. Even Bidoof was going around folding Ubers like Arceus due to its access to Moody. Sure, it might be somewhat more manageable in VGC formats, but it's only slightly moreso.
I personally like Charjabug. Not only is it cute as a button, but slapping an Eviolite on it and running it in doubles with String Shot allows your special attacker to sweep.
Ledian is NOT better than Spidops. Spidops has actually seen use in Ubers of all places just because it can set up Sticky Web and other entry hazards before going down.
How do you want to turn Scovillain into a more physical-based attacker and not give it Solar Blade when it's clearly designed to be a sun sweeper? And Scovillain does actually already get Leech Seed as an egg move. Personally, I think Contrary Scovillain would be very cool, seeing as how it can abuse it with both Overheat and Leaf Storm.
If vikavolt kept battery that thing would be insane on trickroom teams, imagine dealing with ursaluna bloodmoon with two life orb boosts and a pokemon with base 145 special attack right next to it, you would be finished
I love Spidops and think the BST changes here are exactly what it needs. Drain Punch especially sounds fun, although I think it should keep Insomnia over Prankster due to their IRL counterparts HAVING to hunt in the night. As in, their eyes flat-out burn up in sunlight. I’d also wager that they deserve to be Bug/Normal, due to their marionette-like design and the “bouncy” nature of silk juxtaposing with the rigid exoskeletons of the Bug-Type. Blanking Ghosts would be important. Also yeah Arena Trap’s perfect on ‘em. I’m involved with a Pokemon fangame and these videos have served as invaluable guides of sorts on how to balance ‘Mons in ways that accentuate both their thematics and single-player fun factor. I’ve used and loved lotsa ‘Mons that have ended up in these videos, Spidops being the largest example- it’s always great to see people talking about them! Thanks for a great series!
Vikavolt's low speed makes a little more sense if you think of it as attack speed rather than movement speed. It resembles a rail gun so it likely needs a moment to charge up before firing. That said, it would really benefit from being faster. Maybe instead of changing its stats, it could get Speed Boost as a Hidden Ability? It kinda fits since Vikavolt has a striking resemblance to Vic Viper from Gradius who usually starts off pretty slow but can grab powerups to get faster. With such glacial base speed it shouldn't be too broken either.
Solid Rock Turtonator would be a good idea so it can finally click Shell Trap and actually pull it off more often, cause this move is so cool high risk, high reward.
It's unfortunate because the stats seem just high enough for a new Evo to be off the table, but also these guys made an evolution for bisharp and duralodon so what do I know.
I feel like Scovillian should be more specially focused just based on the typing (would play more into hot peppers is giving people spicy breath=flamethrower; and the synergy with sunlight for solar beam). It should’ve had some sort of gimmick to match Palafin (and fulfill being the villain to the hero)
i used vikavolt in sm so yes, i was stuck with a charjabug for the whole game on one hand im glad they fixed that in usum on the other usum's existence is stupid (or rather, sm's existence is stupid because of usum). some romhacks make it a pseudo-legendary, which is funny. also, scovillain is funny because they decided to give it the war crime ability
I love pseudo legendary vika cause I caught grubbin as my first mon so seeing it as a fiendish pseudo would be cool (and unique as the first bug type pseudo)
It also got a tiny, round, blue head. Penguins have a streamlined torpedo body shape so they can swim fast and catch prey. I'd say that Eiscue is pretty terrible at being a penguin, and I love it for that.
I'm usually one of the people who parrots the idea of lame or basic designs, but I do agree. We do need goofy silly pokemon every once and while to balance the cast. Eiscue being Oceanic Ice, but also a Penguin wearing an Ice Cube mask is just the silliness I need in my life.
Even if eiscue is just a penguin it doesn’t look like a normal penguin in the same way flamigo is 99% just a flamingo in the Pokémon art style. Eiscue does at least have something going for it and I feel bad for it 😢
I feel like most of these changes were a little too over the top. Especially spidops abilities. Personally i think the 2 stage bugs(ledian, spidops, krikitune ect.) do need a stat buff but i think an evolution would be more appropriate. Also I feel design wise most of these bugs feel like middle stages. I liked the idea of falinks being steel/fighting and the attack/defend order moves. Honestly I think falinks should get a stance change ability like aegisslash.Just my thoughts, neat video.
I remember one of the coolest ideas I read for Falinks was giving it some gimmick against Psychic types due to it looking like a bug as a sort of mimicry defense mechanism.
@@robertlupa8273 Just looked it up, indeed it does. But, playing off this idea, it could've had an ability similar to Water Bubble or Rocky Payload. While I like its design, it's a rather lackluster mono fighting type with its only gimmick being an equally lackluster omniboost.
I feel like every pokemon that has either a 2-line evolution meaning the original then its evolution such as Girafarig, and Solo pokemon such as Absol, should at the VERY least have 500 BST just so they don't fall behind. Absol has 465, so if I were to give it the other 35 stats it should get it would probably go to speed. HP: 65 Attack: 130 Defense: 60 Sp. Atk: 75 Sp. Def: 60 Speed: 75 HP: 65 Attack: 130 Defense: 60 Sp. Atk: 75 Sp. Def: 60 Speed: 110 Now Absol is speedy enough to make use of its great 130 physical Attack. Sometimes I question why they make pokemon that just suck outright
I like the idea of not every Pokemon having competitive viability, but I’m always glad for people who fix the ones who ought to have competitive viability but don’t
I totally agree, Falinks should've been Fighting/Steel. It fits the design perfectly and the great typing would help compensate for its mediocre stats. Giving it Skill Link was a great idea too btw. It makes sense that a Pokemon made of multiple creatures would be good at using multi-hit moves! This is aimed more at Game Freak but I think Falinks' stats were a bit of a missed opportunity. _Obviously_ they should've been divisible by six! Let's fix that and give 'em a slight buff while we're at it: HP: 65 -> 66 Atk: 100 -> 102 Def: 100 -> 102 Sp.Atk: 70 -> 60 Sp.Def: 60 -> 72 Spe: 75 -> 78 Total: 470 -> 480
I think the worst thing about some later gen Pokemon is that their move pools aren't very big. I want to use Mudsdale or Grapploct competitively (I've used them on in-game teams and loved them) because they look awesome, but they don't have a lot to work with.
Vikavolt is a decent trick roomer, making it base 93 leaves it in a weird spot where it’s too slow to be “fast” but too fast for its current role (and doing that while dropping its defenses makes it a walking ”hit me” sign)
Personally I'd just change Vikavolt's ability to Battery, or a renamed version, idk, Power Field. It'd be much better in doubles because some Trick Room setters could profit from Battery. Or No Guard, so you can spam Zap Cannon like there's no tomorrow.
I have some ideas for buffs/changes myself: Comfey: give it a ability what would give it grass stab (like steelworker, and for flabebe line), psychic noise, tailwind, quiver dance(?) Minior: give it flying moves like hurricane, air slash, air cutter and gust Pincurchin: + water typing Alcreamie: regenerator as a ability Dragapult: shadow claw Flapple: dragon claw Inteleon: give it a special HA that gives sniper + technician (i'll call it "agent gear") Polteageist: give it technician and moves like ominous wind and draining kiss Fezandipity: give it adaptability or filter instead of technician Brambleghast: technician as an ability, give it moves like: shadow claw, rock tomb (?), U-turn Tatsugiri: give it adaptability as a HA instead of storm drain, ice beam Glimmora: give it levitate as an HA and corrosion as a regular ability (also corrosion should be poison type scrappy, make steel and poison non resistant) Sorry for the long list but these are my ideas :D
For Vikavolt, I think a better way would be to increase its speed but change the abily to halve its speed when using a special issue to reference the "charging of the railgun". This would give it a niche in doubles to be great in trick room but to offer better support outside of trickroom
I think the idea with scovillain is that the attacking stats are equal because one head is a physical attacker while the other is a special attacker. Best bet would be to buff its speed by 20 and then take away 5 points from each defensive stat to give a further 15 to speed. With 110 speed it would be able to get things done
Don’t sleep on Stakeout Spidops. It actually can hit really hard on even mons that resist it. Having First Impression also synergizes perfectly, threatening out bug weak or worn down mons and dealing heavy damage on a switch in, especially if you make the prediction and use a more powerful move or one that can hurt mons that can shrug off a First Impression. It’s outclassed by Lokix, but can catch unsuspecting opponents off guard
I hope Shiinotic gets a regional evolution someday, but it’s highly unlikely. Also for Scovillian, I’m still bummed that it didn’t get another evolution. The fanmade evolution with a third yellow head was perfect.
Honestly I think Vikavolt is good the way it is it's low speed makes it a good trick room attacker and since it's not focused on speed those Stat points are put into bulk so it's capable of taking a hit I used Vikavolt on a completive team in Sword and shield and it did great since it already hits hard I just vest it in bulk and give it a assault vest and speed lowering special attack boosting natural and it wrecks with Thunderbolt/discharge, energy ball, Bug buzz, and volt switch.
2:01 vikavolt is partially based on a railgun and those things shoot very slowly(or atleast the common depictions of it make it slow) and i personally think that speed stat should not be increased at all mainly because from my perspective is that the speed stat is the attack speed of the pokemon not on how fast the pokemon can travel around and also the fixes I would've done on vikavolt is by keeping his speed the same or even lower it to distribute it on his offensive & defensive stats so it can become into a more threatening trick room abuser and also either give some more stats for enhanced survivability or making it even more stronger by increasing his spk attack
I think shiinotic is fine as it is. I used it in pokemon sun and while it had the lowest BST of my team, it would often hard carry just because it was almost impossible to kill thanks to it's movepool. Got me out of many bad spots. Vikavolt, on the other hand, really does need a bit more speed. I used it in ultra moon and I was really looking forward to it and was bitterly disappointed.
Every bug type with Sticky Web gets punished by God. Leave it to Gamefreak to make fairy type Slurpuff the best user of an iconic bug type move. In three years they will release another type to counter fairy that will be just as broken and will need another type to keep it in check.
Slurpuff is the best user of the move in specifically ubers in gen 8, otherwise, Ribombee, Galvantula, Araquanid and Shuckle are widely regarded as better setters
@@galvsparks6295 Slurpuff isn't in gen 9, but all those other Pokemon were in gen 8. It also feels weird to say "specifically ubers in gen 8" as if ubers isn't one of the best measuring sticks to determine this. Ubers, of the official Smogon formats, has the least restrictions and the harshest environment in terms of viability. If you were hypothetically trying to determine the strongest [insert criteria] pokemon in the game, you would start from Ubers, not OU.
Turtonator should spikey shield. Its entire concept is based around it facing its literal spikey shell at the opponent. Its so lame GF finally gave us a normal dragon/fire mon and made it. Falinks could do fighting/bug its kinda a caterpillar but the segments are independent Idk if it would be too broken but Scovillain really should be a special attacker. A grass/fire type should be able to take full advantage of the fire boost and solarbeam its stats are low enough
Personally I would love if GF went back and buffed a lot of the gen 1-3 mons especially Gen 2 cuz of how weak they are. At this point in the game there’s no reason why u have a mon with less than 450 BST and they are not min/maxed. They made broken paradox mons and legendaries but make the average pokemon so subpar it’s killing their game. There’s a reason people love rom hax it’s because they make old pokemon (some favorites) actually competitive. It’s been 7 generations and meganium is cheeks. And it shows a clear bias that GF when creating certain pokemon. They have cinderace 2 powerful moves and didn’t care about the 2 other starters in gen 9. They went out of their way to nerf rillaboom but still buff inceneroar
I live in Brazil and have seen toucans flying around, they're as fast as some raptors when they glide. I'd take 40 from Toucannon's special attack and 5 from each defense and dump it all on speed. It still wouldn't be super good, but it would be a bit better, and it makes more sense for a toucan to be fast.
Vikavolt absolutely deserves Speed Boost. It's stated to be very fast and charges itself with Charjabug, so why not give it an ability that lets it "charge up" its speed, fulfilling both of these facts at the same time.
Would love to see you buff non-fully evolved pokemon that could become niche competitive pokemon like Yanma (compoundeyes + hypnosis) or Porygon 2 (eviolite)
Vikavolt is already a pretty good pokemon in doubles in trick room choice specs discharge, t bolt, bug buzz, volt switch is really the only set it needs as its ko ing even nve mons in 2 hits . Unfortunately bug is an awful defensive typing for it and it gets smoked by Torkoal
I'll never forget catching a full-odds shiny Tarountula at the very start of the game, evolving it into Spidops who has one of the neater bug designs in recent gens in my opinion, and realizing how garbage that dude is. I really tried for a while to keep him around because I honestly really like him, but past, like, Iono, it just isn't worth the effort at all. It makes me so sad because he's so cool, but he's just so bad.
Very good concept on this, what I really think for Spidops, I think of it as Bug/Fighting or Bug/Dark because it suits it's design as some tactical soldier bug that I see because its head looks like it's wearing night vsiion visor or goggles. Circle throw was something good for Spidops because if in doubles, it can switch foe pokemon to another, allowing partners to sometime hit the guranteed pokemon with the weakness and probably Rapid spin to clear out hazards because it is kinda viable for Spidops' pokedex to clear everything without a trace and probably more abilities like Disguise from Mimikyu to allow it from not getting one shot and it is viable for Spidops like camouflage, and bulletproof.
I don't know if those new abilities fit Spidops that well. Maybe it's just me, but Spidops seems a bit too serious and professional for Prankster. And Arena Trap definitely doesn't work. The ability is called 'Antlion' in Japanese and is referring to the characteristic sand pit trap of an antlion larva. Spidops' traps are made of webbing afaik. As for what it could have instead, maybe Bulletproof? It looks like it's wearing body armor which likely references the real life spider with ultra strong silk that's tougher than kevlar.
The promlem I saw with Spidops is that it’s built to be a supporter… with next to no status moves either helping its ally or hurting the enemy. With just a small boost to its defenses and a MUCH wider selection of status moves, I see it being much better. Useful, even.
lol, you're the second person I've heard call Falinks "Failinks", which I guess is a joke on how underwhelming the Pokémon is (the other person is ElectricWindGirlfriend, if you wonder). I actually feel bad for Falinks, they're such a creative concept that just had terrible implementation. Even so, I guess it's a good thing if almost every Pokémon in the newer games is at least usable; sure, some will always fall short of others, but if they can still work, that's not much of an issue. ❤ Grass/Fire is definitely such an underexplored concept, btw. Sunflowers and peppers aside, imagine a Pokémon based on a campfire.
Falinks is one of my all time favorite underrated Pokemon... When I first saw it I was like "what the heck is this stupid looking worm thing?" It didn't help that it was the first Pokemon aside from Golisopod to get "First Impression" (which I was really salty about at the time). But once I realized that it wasn't _actually_ a worm, but rather a group of individual troops working in sync, I started to really appreciate it more. Especially when taking into account their signature move. Refusing to retreat and gaining an omni-boost is the most metal thing ever (which ironically would be a great move for Golisopod). I really wish they would give it a third ability... Its 2024, no Pokemon should have less than three unless its specifically a gimmick ability that Pokemon revolves around (like Ice Face or Stance Change). They should make Defiant a regular ability, and then give it Parental Bond as a hidden ability (cause it fits the theme of all the Falinks working together as a single unit, and since it was nerfed, I don't think it would be _too_ strong).
I'm very confused by those Scovillain stat changes. Lowering its special attack looks way more like a nerf than anything else given the special STAB moves it gets as opposed to its physical STAB moves, and also, its stat distribution was most likely made the way it is because it was balanced around having access to Moody, and the devs definitely were trying to be careful in giving that to a new mon, given how obnoxious Smeargle and Glalie (the latter specifically in Battle Spot/Stadium Singles, the in-game online 3v3 Singles ladder that's most popular in Japan and has existed officially for several gens now) have been with that ability in the past. Also, I noticed some move suggestions that already exist as egg moves, such as Leech Seed on Scovillain and Counter on Spidops. With the Mirror Herb, getting egg moves on Pokémon has been easier than ever before, so I find those suggestions redundant. By holding a Mirror Herb, any Pokémon with egg moves can learn said egg moves as soon as it's taken into a picnic with another Pokémon that knows the move(s) you're looking for. They can be different species and not even need to be able to breed with each other. You can teach egg moves using multiple "donor" Pokémon at once, too. This mechanic isn't explained in-game and definitely should be; I bet there's still plenty of folks who aren't aware of it, so I wanted to inform anyone who happens to come across this comment about it.
Do you think maybe the speed stay is meant to be like momentum? Pokémon like vikavolt may have high top speed but may be slow on startup/take a while to achieve top speed.
Methinks vikavolt was built like that is solely for pokemon go, low speed stat doesn't matter if all your hits are harder than the iceberg that hit the titanic and the rest in the video are purely just... Idk cool for the anime? But i do like falinks alot
I won't stand for spidops slander, he's dope asf and actually has a useful movepool. More bulk or more Attack and speed would be nice but Sidops is way better than both Ledian and Kritune with their 0 utility and 0 attacking stats Circle throw spikes spam ftw!!

@@PieEyeToonnot really an excuse to make it not water type just because they feel like there’s too many. So swsh has 11 water types and hoenn has around 29 water types. Is having too many water types that big of a deal?
Bro what are you trayna say about quaquavel?
I actually love Spidops design. I think it looks really cool!
I don’t hate it or love it.
Glad someone doesn’t hate this done dirty spider guy though.
Falinks isn't a pokemon, it's a conga line.
It’s the Hype Squad (patent pending)!
[insert Ditto dancing to "Do the Conga"]
"starting with Goodra, Gamefreak gave the dragon type to pokémon that aren't dragons"
uhm... we had that in gen 2 with a Seahorse. Or gen 3 with dragonflies. Dragons became "reptilian" very quickly. And a dragon turtle is a mythological being that is way more a dragon as a seahorse or dragonfly would be that are literally only dragontype because of name connotation.
Amazing Series. Honestly became one of my favorite Pokemon series on TH-cam. Can't wait to see more.
Appreciate it
If you buffed Scovillian in any way, he would become overpowered.
I really wish Grapploct, Falinks and Scovillain were better, even by just a little bit: they're some of my favorite mons of their gens 😔
They'd better give scovillain an evo next gen
Scovillain 100% looks like it should evolve
I personally like Charjabug. Not only is it cute as a button, but slapping an Eviolite on it and running it in doubles with String Shot allows your special attacker to sweep.
Charjabug is my 2nd favorite middle stage bug type! (1st is dottler)
The tragedy of Shiinotic is that we were so close to greatness. We could've had a Spore setter to rival Amoongus
Give my boy vikavolt electro shot
Ledian is NOT better than Spidops.
Spidops has actually seen use in Ubers of all places just because it can set up Sticky Web and other entry hazards before going down.
that was only when the game just released, it was like the only pokemon that learned sticky web, but that doesnt remove the fact that its awful
@@biluv Still more relevant than Ledian has ever been.
Silk trap circle grow be going crazy.
"If it got leech seed" woop says, commenting on scovillain who gets it 💀
Had to find someone who mentioned it! Thought it would be one of the top comments tbh. That thing was a random battle MENACE for a while
If vikavolt kept battery that thing would be insane on trickroom teams, imagine dealing with ursaluna bloodmoon with two life orb boosts and a pokemon with base 145 special attack right next to it, you would be finished
Once a new Mystery Dungeon games drop, these guys will be Viable.
Scovillain just needs another evo, full stop
Honestly, it looks like it should evolve
Into a 5 headed hydra. [similar to that 1 yugioh card] but each head has a different pepper color. And give it an ability to get Dragon STAB
It's unfortunate because the stats seem just high enough for a new Evo to be off the table, but also these guys made an evolution for bisharp and duralodon so what do I know.
Grapploct not being Water type kills me
I feel like Scovillian should be more specially focused just based on the typing (would play more into hot peppers is giving people spicy breath=flamethrower; and the synergy with sunlight for solar beam). It should’ve had some sort of gimmick to match Palafin (and fulfill being the villain to the hero)
Shiinotic has always learned Leech Seed. I used a defensive Shiinotic set back in early gen 8 OU to beat Zeraora.
Find someone that loves you the way Woop loves giving Pokemon the order moves in this series
i used vikavolt in sm
so yes, i was stuck with a charjabug for the whole game
on one hand im glad they fixed that in usum on the other usum's existence is stupid (or rather, sm's existence is stupid because of usum).
some romhacks make it a pseudo-legendary, which is funny.
also, scovillain is funny because they decided to give it the war crime ability
I love pseudo legendary vika cause I caught grubbin as my first mon so seeing it as a fiendish pseudo would be cool (and unique as the first bug type pseudo)
Yeah, Vikavolt is cool but having the wait until almost the entire game to get it sucks
The game hyped up vikavolt for its speed yet gave this thing the speed stat of a fucking geodude💀
I politely disagree that Eiscue is "just a penguin". The ice cube mask is extremely creative, and is the crux of the character.
It also got a tiny, round, blue head. Penguins have a streamlined torpedo body shape so they can swim fast and catch prey. I'd say that Eiscue is pretty terrible at being a penguin, and I love it for that.
@@mamutepeqthat’s why he’s just an ice type. He sucks at swimming
Idk about extremely creative
I prefer simple fixes, therefore I think Vikavolt should have Speed Boost as its secondary ability.
I remember one of the coolest ideas I read for Falinks was giving it some gimmick against Psychic types due to it looking like a bug as a sort of mimicry defense mechanism.
That's a pretty cool idea
Doesn't it get First Impression?
HP: 65
Attack: 130
Defense: 60
Sp. Atk: 75
Sp. Def: 60
Speed: 75
HP: 65
Attack: 130
Defense: 60
Sp. Atk: 75
Sp. Def: 60
Speed: 110
Now Absol is speedy enough to make use of its great 130 physical Attack. Sometimes I question why they make pokemon that just suck outright
I like the idea of not every Pokemon having competitive viability, but I’m always glad for people who fix the ones who ought to have competitive viability but don’t
I think Vikavolt should have the Speed Boost ability. That would just fix all its problems (aka it’s speed stat). And it fits thematically too.
Let's fix that and give 'em a slight buff while we're at it:
HP: 65 -> 66
Atk: 100 -> 102
Def: 100 -> 102
Sp.Atk: 70 -> 60
Sp.Def: 60 -> 72
Spe: 75 -> 78
Total: 470 -> 480
I honestly agree with this fully.
Should be fighting/steel and skill link makes sense. Don’t know if they get any multi-hit moves though.
Should give vika volt electro shot to really mail in that rail gun
Spidops NEEDS an evolution. Heck, it weird me up a lot when a discovered Spidops was the last stage
Barely anyone mentioning the ARG-esque “Can you read me?” line flashing on screen
I have some ideas for buffs/changes myself:
Comfey: give it a ability what would give it grass stab (like steelworker, and for flabebe line), psychic noise, tailwind, quiver dance(?)
Minior: give it flying moves like hurricane, air slash, air cutter and gust
Pincurchin: + water typing
Alcreamie: regenerator as a ability
Dragapult: shadow claw
Flapple: dragon claw
Inteleon: give it a special HA that gives sniper + technician (i'll call it "agent gear")
Polteageist: give it technician and moves like ominous wind and draining kiss
Fezandipity: give it adaptability or filter instead of technician
Brambleghast: technician as an ability, give it moves like: shadow claw, rock tomb (?), U-turn
Tatsugiri: give it adaptability as a HA instead of storm drain, ice beam
Glimmora: give it levitate as an HA and corrosion as a regular ability (also corrosion should be poison type scrappy, make steel and poison non resistant)
Sorry for the long list but these are my ideas :D
For Vikavolt, I think a better way would be to increase its speed but change the abily to halve its speed when using a special issue to reference the "charging of the railgun".
This would give it a niche in doubles to be great in trick room but to offer better support outside of trickroom
6:55 i can read you!
Good eyes ;)
12:46 Scovillain can learn leech seed actually
as avid random battles player I knew the cap as soon as I heard it
@ I knew it because I troll people with Moody Scovillain all the time
I think the idea with scovillain is that the attacking stats are equal because one head is a physical attacker while the other is a special attacker. Best bet would be to buff its speed by 20 and then take away 5 points from each defensive stat to give a further 15 to speed. With 110 speed it would be able to get things done
Liquifying them to buff earlier gen mons is optimal for all but moneymaking.
Yeah, hoping that Scovillain gets an evolution someday
I honestly think that if you gave prankster to spidops, it would skyrocket all the way up to OU. Priority sticky web would be insane.
I wanna see more pokemon with the rotom types. I'm sure with better stats or moves it would be some powerful mons in a future gen.
A easy fix for vikavolt is just give it speed boost and maybe swap out its speed with its attack
15:20 Spidops slander aside. You are cooking..
Turtonator should spikey shield. Its entire concept is based around it facing its literal spikey shell at the opponent. Its so lame GF finally gave us a normal dragon/fire mon and made it.
Falinks could do fighting/bug its kinda a caterpillar but the segments are independent
Idk if it would be too broken but Scovillain really should be a special attacker. A grass/fire type should be able to take full advantage of the fire boost and solarbeam its stats are low enough
You leave my perfect vikavolt alone mister! (Give him electro shot)
Poor Eiscue catching a stray 😢
My favorite idea for buffing vikavolt is giving it speed boost as a HA
I don't know if those new abilities fit Spidops that well. Maybe it's just me, but Spidops seems a bit too serious and professional for Prankster.
And Arena Trap definitely doesn't work. The ability is called 'Antlion' in Japanese and is referring to the characteristic sand pit trap of an antlion larva. Spidops' traps are made of webbing afaik.
As for what it could have instead, maybe Bulletproof? It looks like it's wearing body armor which likely references the real life spider with ultra strong silk that's tougher than kevlar.
Wait Spidops has one of the coolest mono bug designs imo 😭
I think the only thing that falinks would need to become super cool would be if no retreat was able to be used more than once
The promlem I saw with Spidops is that it’s built to be a supporter… with next to no status moves either helping its ally or hurting the enemy. With just a small boost to its defenses and a MUCH wider selection of status moves, I see it being much better. Useful, even.
Indeed. They could've leaned a lot more into its defensive design
lol, you're the second person I've heard call Falinks "Failinks", which I guess is a joke on how underwhelming the Pokémon is (the other person is ElectricWindGirlfriend, if you wonder). I actually feel bad for Falinks, they're such a creative concept that just had terrible implementation.
Even so, I guess it's a good thing if almost every Pokémon in the newer games is at least usable; sure, some will always fall short of others, but if they can still work, that's not much of an issue. ❤
Grass/Fire is definitely such an underexplored concept, btw.
Honestly Scovillain really needs an evolution and I hope it gets one bc I really like it and want it to succeed.
For sure, it looks like a middle stage evolution
As the one person who used Druddigon in their first BW playthrough, I welcome Turtonator now being called the worst dragon.
Druddigon was never the worst dragon. Altaria was already a thing.
It’s sending me that this is edited like a creepy pasta video
Love the vibe of your channel
Best voice out there
Glad you enjoy it :D
Scovilian does get leech seed as an egg move
I won't stand for spidops slander, he's dope asf and actually has a useful movepool. More bulk or more Attack and speed would be nice but Sidops is way better than both Ledian and Kritune with their 0 utility and 0 attacking stats Circle throw spikes spam ftw!!
I had spidops in my first team of violet. I hoped for an evolution they forgot to add. And the dlc disappointed me. That said gen8 Pokémon got evos in gen 9 so maybe gen10 can save my guy
Vikavolt being slow only makes sense if speed refers to reaction speed, different from movement speed
Tortunator comes at halfway the 3rd island. Not ideal, but far from lategame. I'm interrested how it performs solo.
Crabominable: change the whole design. I love crustaceans, but it is hideous and underwhelming for a Fighting/Ice Pokémon. Change those weird paws with ice pincers, make the face more menacing, take out some of the hair. Now you have a truly abominable crab
Scovillian does learn leech seed, it’s an egg move.
