If you left early because the league mechanic was confusing or didn't seem worthwhile, the new updates have MASSIVELY increased how good the crafting is (meaning the corpses are now worth money) and have adjusted the difficulty / reward of the base mechanics themselves. Definitely worth another shot if you gave up early!
Except they killed divines and avg joe experience as usual. Hoping im proved wrong but dont think im supporter packing this league. Should have been playing 72 hours straight instead of sleeping loll

I put "Accompanied by a Map Boss" on the highest density/most common pack....that was an interesting horror movie/map

Yep. Mix that with your atlas having possessed rogues and set up the 2nd high density pack with that on top of scarab for more tormented spirits so the new field bosses get possessed often . It gets pretty insane and super rippy.

If you're running out of alchs, either use the currency that makes items 4 links and rares and also sell all of your shitty uniques, they give a lot of alchs, that's what I did when I ran out of alchs as I was hitting red maps

I got lucky yesterday morning and got the 4% divine orb modifier on a white map. Left that map with 8 divines. It was wild. Makes me a little sad to hear they made it less likely to happen again.
Edit: I just thought I'd point out I didn't rat or frog the enemies or anything like that. All I did was put it on the highest pack density mobs in the map.

i play forever and ive never quit a league faster... making the campaign harder again? removing left click? this is seriously dumb as hell

and also at least 14 hrs playtime daily to understand it, forget about learning poe in a league timeframe.

Thanks Ducks,, this is exactly the video I needed. Anyway, im 6 days into the league never even bothering to glance at the lantern when I started my maps. Sometimes being a veteran is good and bad because although I didn't waste my time with the mechanic the first few days I am having trouble getting enthusiasm to even try it. I hope Filterblade makes picking up good Necropolis stuff easy and I'll likely just sell it and let the power crafters make my gear (like usual). But I'm really trying to keep an open mind about this.

I took the keystone that randomly gives hanted mobs on map instead of choosing haunted mods using alflames and stuff. I am living my life happily

Honestly as far as the additional projectiles go , sometimes it wouldnt be bad toa ctually force additional projectiles due to the fact that even number can simply just miss u

I'd say probably don't spec haunted until you actually see the market change, have all the currency already to build a tanky boi that can mitigate most of the haunted modifies, or have a good amount of maps/currency to buy maps in case you come across too many haunted mods that will brick your map.... otherwise you're making maps harder on yourself while farming in the *hopes* that the market will reward you (if you can get through them).
Idk I’m been trying out the first keystone with a lot of extra backside 8 mod maps and adding as much pack to the map and been getting 14 - 20 corpse per map
I had "% chance to drop 2 chaos" last night in the last area of act 5. I had a total of 21 chaos drop in that 1 run lol 😅
Im a noob. What do you think is the best currency strategy for a build that is pretty much paper(deadeye zoom but i take 3 days to finish the campaign- well usually it's 5 normally so improvement there! hehe). I figure i try something different this league over making a tank and it's pretty fun and fast :)
You most likely want to stick to classic map clear strats like Legion / Breach / map drop farming. You can find more info on those kinds of strategies from people like Grimro or Fubgun.

Each one has a damage theme
Xoph - fire
Tul - cold
Esh - lightning
Uul-netol - phys
Chayula - chaos
They have special uniques if you want to check them out on poewiki but generally chayula is the rarest of 5 and best to focus (ex. There is a unique dropped from him used in minion builds rn)
Gemlings can drop exceptional gems as well, I got an empower in white maps.
most of tier tier2 or tier1? got seer 3 times after patch at t16 maps.. best item in terms of rarity was tabula.
They removed the ailment reflection mod (and a couple others) thank god

The one time I got the mod it bugged out and he didn't spawn even at zero monster's remaining.

I'm new and the more I listen and watch i'm just realizing they're masters at decorating/disguising grinding and gambling. You're customizing your mobs with drops you get to increase/change what else you get. Is this really the way to keep things interesting? So many layers to mob mechanics...

I have been playing the league for weeks. I have no idea how to use the mechanics. I just do maps. This video makes zero sense from the jump. I have no clue and am so happy that I'm living my life and not caring about any of this.

stupidest thing for this league, 500% added chance modifiers for corpses, but u need 156000 to properly force an item. the numbers are very dumb and need to eliminate all zeros. it makes no sense to itimize corpses to 500% when it should only be 5%. they can put the number at whatever they want and keep the numbers internally
Mad respect for GGG for making all these efforts every league, but Jesus Christ do they over-complicate shit needlessly. About what... 2-3% of the population is interested in spending days/weeks figuring these out inside and out?
Literally ALL of this is so much better if you reduce the numbers. I don't want to read through potentially hundreds of modifiers of differing tiers before entering a zone. I don't want to go through 50 allflames and associate on with the dozens of mobs/mods. And the crafting? OMG who wants to mouse through 64 different mods and place them in 64 tombs.... All of this is so obtuse and needlessly cumbersome.
For the crafting, 10-12 rare yest extremely impactful mods. That's it. They are all worth-wile so picking them up is not a waste and they are all strong so you will actually be excited to go craft right away instead of completely ignoring the mechanic. Sure, there will be less possible outcomes, but more than 2-3% of people would actually use it instead of ignoring it and just buying the crafted items.
Same thing for the lantern. I'm just completely ignoring it now, starting my maps and just telling myself ' there will be some extra juice in there, cool'. Its so annoying to go through all the stat lines, density lines, then figure out which allflame..... I wanna chain map, not spend 2-3 minutes setting up the map.
All things that would be solved by allowing us to deactivate the allflame at will btw. GGG has refused to even acknowledge that and to me, that makes this the most dogshit league GGG have ever done. They have heard the feedback but won't even address it... why? They have never done this before. They have always been praised for allowing us to chose how we play and interact with the mechanic or not. Now we can't. You cannot enjoy this generally amazing patch without being dragged down by a dogshit mechanic. I don't care about the difficulty (its extra map juice, its actually great) but FFS, those corpse popup text boxes are making the game visually unplayable. You can end up with 4-5 in your screen covering whats going on AND blocking other loot. WHO THE FUCK DESIGNED THIS?! WHO ALLOWED THIS TO GO LIVE? Like, srly, who's in charge now? Marc? Wtf Marc, beginner move dude, have you played the game before? VISUAL CLARITY.
It is kidna bad that they fix things because now i have earned hundreds of divines and you have not. It is a little unfair but hey. That is what everyone loves about this game.

i dont understand who this game is for? they make the systems so complicated that a child cant grasp half of the key configurations, they have no tutorials on how incursion/sanctum/syndicate and expect you to search the web for everything. then they make the game so layered that even a graduate student who works full time and has the brain power to understand everything will have no proper time to learn because you cant play this game for 1 hour and get anywhere significant
heres a crafting system so you have to use craft of exile and MAYBE get what you invested your time into
Hey smoothbrain, just dump corpses in a sell tab and keep playing. No one is 100% efficient in this game and you don't need to engage in theorycrafting at all to have fun. Some of us autistic ass gamers enjoy the spreadsheets, go farm us corpses ❤
