Thank you for this message. Can you speak on self esteem issues? I can’t seem to shake these issues after years of physical and verbal abuse. Although I am happily remarried to the sweetest man now and he adores me but my thought patterns and insecurities are still there as cause so many issues. Will I ever be “normal” and fix this?
That's a great topic, Amy. You can fix it, but it's going to take some work! The Lord often wants us to partner with Him to get to the true root of our issues. Have you ever considered Christian counseling? It is seriously the #1 fastest way to dive deep and discover some really practical healing and emotional tactics!
I would like to ask how can I be Christian when I am gay? I have absolutely no attraction to women and would not physically be able to have sex with them. I am only attracted to men. My life is amazing, I have incredibly close caring friends and an amazingly supportive family, a great job and feel very in touch with my own nature. Every day I am filled with joy. If I was to be Christian it would mean that I would have to sacrifice all of that and never find love as my biology is not programmed the same as a straight man. I have known I am gay since I hit puberty, it is how God has made me. My life is humble but it is bountiful and filled with love and a fire within. A lot of gay men who have turned to Jesus and suppressed their feelings and become priests or marry a women and end up creating even worse sins than they would if they had just stayed gay. Why should I give up my amazing life for a life like these other gay men who forced themselves to be Christian and are miserable and end up hurting others?
