Today is the Fifth Sunday of Lent. Just a few days more and we will enter the holy week of the Lord’s paschal mystery. How have you been preparing for it?
The gospel that we would hear gives us a glimpse of Jesus' sense of purpose. In one event before his passion, he told his disciples: “I am troubled now. Yet what should I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But it was for this purpose that I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name.”
Jesus embraced his purpose which comes from the Father. He would offer his life so that all of us could be reconciled with God.
By the supreme act of love on the cross emanating from his clean heart, Jesus gives glory to the Father's name.

Dear God Our Father in heaven, may we receive your Spirit so that we win the victory over ourselves and over the world around us, not with our human crudeness, force, and clamor, but only through your Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. Help each of us in our own particular situation. We all know there is much evil around us; there is much we must fight. But in Jesus’ name we want to plunge right in, right into the world, right into whatever suffering is meant for us in the midst of the evil that is not yet overcome. In Jesus’ name we go toward the great victory that will come when all who are granted your joy will praise you with all their hearts, O Father in heaven. Amen.
Jesus please create in clean heart in me. Amen....

Today is the 5th and Last Sunday of Lent.
The sense of purpose of every worker in the vineyard is to give light to the path of life not to create mystery of faith thereby preaching faith in the darkness.Clean heart is one such mystery.
It is sad that Israel or the Jews still do not believe in Jesus. They are still waiting for the promised Messiah. :(
