@Charlotte Isaiah Thanks. It really would be nice to have a gentleman’s ranch now that I am getting older. As soon as you name your animals, they become pets. As a kid in Texas, we had some chickens, a couple of pigs, and a couple of milk cows. Yep, I milked them cows, prepared the chickens, and slopped the pigs. My sister later ran about 100 head of Herefords. I grew up respecting farm animals, but kept that perspective.
@Charlotte Isaiah Oh, I just wanted to interject a little story. As kids, my father showed us how to kill and clean a chicken.. I tried to wring a chickens neck. It just walked away. Next, I held the checked on a chopping board. My brother swung the hatchet missed the necks cut off his wing and missed my hand by one inch. He didn’t want to see The Act of Killing so he closed his eyes! as he was swinging the hatchet. I have a trust problem ever since. My turn to chop. My brother held the bird. I cut the head. The chicken landed on his lap, blood gushing out. Then he ran away without his head. Then we had to pluck. I am so glad I can go to Costco and get a roasted bird now days
The shorter, softer undercoat on Highland cattle that comes from hand brushing is spinnable. There are a ton of spinner's who would like to try it. Save it, bag it and sell it.
I've been watching some video from this channel and was asking myself the same thing, wonder if all this hair can be used in any way that would be cool to wear something made from their hair!
Thank you for sharing your life with us! Watching you brush that beautiful gentle giant is truly good for my soul. May God bless you and all your wonderful animals! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
He’s just absolutely precious....it’s just so sweet so many farm animals...cows pigs goats...and such are abused and vey neglected....I love the love you show...them...it is so sweet
Animals are simple minded so it's easy for them. Remember, people think their animals love them but your cat will chew ypur face off and keep eating you if you die in your home with no one around. There's other carnivores animals that will do the same. Dogs have done it too.
U guy's are the sweetest thing! That Gentle Giant of an animal knows u love him n clearly he love's u - its in his relaxed body language that plainly show's he trust's/respect's u.... what a nice video! BTW I love the sound of those spring peeper's in the background : )
I have an odd question. With how long their fur looks, would it be any good for spinning? My mind inevitably leads me to that question when I see unusual, longer coated animals shedding.
Ages ago I had an older cousin who'd raised a Scotty from a calf & showed him in 4H. Besides the fact they just look so cool, the best thing about it was that we could go in the pasture with him and pet it! The bull would actually amble over looking for attention-and snack LOL!
In south India we give cows, buffalos and goats a a protein rich concoction of lentils, beans and rice cooked together till soft and mushy with its own cooked water. It’s like health snack they go crazy for. Maybe the two hunks will like it.
I never was aware that this type of cows existed with long coat & huge horns. If you showed me a photo of this cattle, I would assume it lived during the ice age and went extinct, so I'm happy to see they are alive and kicking.
Don't scold him too bad Pa....lol I love this. The frogs, the scolding, the lazy snort from Hamish the bully with the spoiled calfhood!😂 I'm gonna have to come up and see yall sometime. Sending love from Augusta
what a beautiful Bull.. and obviously he trusts and loves his human.. I had read Highland cattle did not like to be handled but those people should see your videos !
Charlotte Isaiah I have been reading your comments on the videos and just love how you guys are getting in contact now! Thank you for clearing up some things for people and staying positive on this channel☺️ Love from Norway
What a peaceful and relaxing scene. The background sounds adds to the sense of tranquility
Hamish just oozes adorableness. He stands there so calmly and seems utterly content. The two have a wonderful relationship.
I just love Hamish's bed head bangs! What a magnificent creature!
I think he knows he’s loved😍
Does he know that he could be eaten?

Cracks me up that Hamish gets so relaxed when you groom him that he drools!

Hamish loves bananas!

he's a steer not a bull and steers are also referred a lot as Cows u know.
just beautiful.
Most beautiful cow I've ever seen
He almost looks like something out of Star Wars.
Is the cow drooling? He's obviously happy
If he’s chewing and drooling, he’s a happy cow.
Beautiful creatures-I had no idea that Highland cattle are that big-John in Texas
That's a huge animal. I thought highland cattle were much smaller
I can stare at this cow all day, it's so majestic.
An amazing animal. Gorgeous. Looks like a big baby, but I'm sure he's not. Love these videos ❣❣❣
Whats that on Hamish neck, a lipoma?
Think it might be a injection site, I think the guy mentioned something about him being spoilt because he got sick recently.
That's the most well groomed bull in existence.
uhm you mean steer right?
I hope Hamish knows how handsome his horns are
Here also, many Birds have Orange and Fluffy Nests now 💓🌈
What a beautiful and majestic creature, a worthy beast to ride into battle!
What a beautiful animal.

Thank you- appreciate the comment!
Can the hair of Hamish be used to produce a fabric? Do you use the hair for any purpose or do you simply discard it?
Just awesome man
Do you have to do much hoof maintenance.
Are they related to buffalos ?
@Charlotte Isaiah I couldn't find any contact info for you. Could you please touch base with me at hamish@b2xonline.com...Thank you
