I love my vizsla to death but me and my dad are both allergic to animals, it took us about a month for our allergies to get used to the dog. Now that I go to college and don’t see the dog anymore I have to take meds every time I’m home otherwise I itch everywhere and my eyes start to water and kinda swell up, and I sneeze a lot. I do love my dog and I wouldn’t trade her for anything though.

I agree. Friends that are not allergic to other dogs are allergic to my Viszla.
I had/have Rottweilers and a red heeler but just added my first Vizsla to the family. I can not believe how much smarter she is comparatively to all the other dogs. This breed is really intelligent. ❤❤❤
@@BecomingADogOwner Do so at your own peril!! LOL! we all three of us are retired, so there never without human company, and we have 3 acres for them to run and play, but WOW do they have energy. We love them so much
Ours - her name is Piper - has a strong portion of Vizsla genes. We had originally been told it was a mix of something else and looking back, I think I wanted to believe that because of a previous dog we had. (I should have seen the writing on the wall, but with hindsight one is always better informed. 😉) Once we had her home, we realised we had a COMPLETELY different "animal" than what was expected and to what we had been used to.... Thus, we had her DNA checked because we wanted to understand what we are up against. Once we understood, we started reading and then threw the old "tried and true" training / raising plan out the window and restarted from scratch. It worked, but goodness, we never had a dog like this... 😂😂 I am glad we are not beginners, I cannot imagine someone with no dog-raising experience taking Piper on.... In her own special way, best dog we have had yet, but then again, each one has been that. ❤️
These are great for adults without young kids. One must be consistently firm but never ever too firm. They are sensitive. Teflon. They cling like no other dog. Lap dogs. Best dog once they know you are the boss. Run run run!
:(( that is very sad Older vizslas are better at adjusting to their environment and supporting those around them so maybe they’ve been together for awhile and the V has adjusted!
Hi we've just brought home a pretty girl vizsla. She's about 9 weeks and undergoing potty & crate training. My girl widly nips at my hands and pants/sleeves and can get really hyper esp. after tug...is this a "puppy thing" you think? I thought vizslas are really calm and non vocal after watching Willa, but mine's a bit wild😂😂😂 could you please share your thoughts?
Willa is a very chill vizsla! Normally they are quite wild. Sharky behaviour is super normal, Willa still gets sharky when she gets too excited playing 😂 I cover how we trained Willa on this in our puppy training video: th-cam.com/video/rjhzZg6AdxQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=szIChN_EQEwBL8VY
I’m interested in this breed but I need HONEST answers. Does every Vizsla owner actually take their dogs on multiple walks a day and multiple outside runs every single day? Because that seems unattainable. You need to be retired to have this dog? Is a big back yard not enough?
Multiple walks per day? No thank you. I want to be a father to two children, not to a dog. I abhor the US childless people who treat their dogs as their children.
Take the kids on the walk so they can learn the importance of outdoor exercise and vitamin D and learning how to train a dog will teach the kids patience plus provide them with a guardian.
They are beautiful, affectionate, smart, funny, and the most gentle soul ever, I love mine to death, she's everything.
Couldn’t agree more! Don’t remember what life was like before Willa 🥰
Vizsla are most certainly NOT hypoallergenic! And yes they shed, a lot. They spread their vizsla glitter.
Vizslas are considered a low allergen dog! Definitely less than other breeds.
Love the “vizsla glitter” ✨🧡
@@BecomingADogOwner me too 💕

I agree with most of this besides the hypoallergenic part 😂
I know I should have worded that differently 🙈
My first dog. First night she crawled out of her box, and got under the covers. I think that they were used on lion hunts.
I have two my first one is still with me at the age of 17 years
So very true ❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve had about 5 total years with vizslas, now I don’t want any other breed😂
Wait, the puppy phase only lasts 3 years? I guess my V didn't get the memo she's 13 and still a huge puppy
Haha I have been hearing that a lot lately 🤣
Hungarian vizsla🥰

What if I work overnights?
As long as they get their exercise I think that’s okay!
Got it, thank you! You’ve got such a beautiful boy. I can’t wait to get one
wait, it pronounced ‘vishla’ not ‘visla’?
Hungarian pronunciation is “veez-luh”

She was one year during this video! She’s 16 months now :)
Short version of the story: Don't get a Viszla if you don't use it as a working dog (if possible: hunting dog).
I disagree, they are great dogs for anyone with an active lifestyle. You don’t have to put your dog to work for them to have a happy life.
No platform for animal abusers
