I didn’t go to prom. I went to an after-prom thing. My girlfriend at the time was autistic and she didn’t like big crowds or loud music, so she didn’t wanna go to the normal prom. I didn’t wanna go because it just seemed overrated to me. But the after-prom was held the next day and had games and activities everywhere. Jenga, Velcro axe throwing, go karts, a movie, and even a raffle. I won a gaming headset and a big container of m&m’s. Definitely better than going to a boring dance where they crown random students prom king and queen for no reason. I had fun, my girlfriend had fun, it didn’t overwhelm her sensory issues, and I will never forget it.
