    Nice shots of the old BHP site and Mayfield. I used to work in accounts receivable at the BHP administration building and at age fifteen I did a weeks work experience at the Computer Centre BHP. Thanks.

    I started work at sankeys part of lysaghts at the age of 15 sweeping the floors for $10.25 a week take home, in 1966,stayed their for seven years I loved it.

    The vacant land is a great Perfect place to put a mini mill(EAF mill) there is Also One at Waratah

      As a Newcastle boy, I , like my father and Uncle walked through
      those BHP gates many times.
      My late father did his bricklaying apprenticeship there,
      my late Uncle worked in the apprentice training centre
      and I was a humble 18 year old labourer in works (Sinter) research.
      Lasted 10 months before I thought I should "better" myself.
      Never happened.😉
