The bike will be finally be completed the way I imagined when I first started this build. Took me over 3 years to get it the way I wanted, but I was on no hurry as I had other priorities and bike was really fine right out of the box.
I dig the street fighter style road bikes. I found the same Nashbar bike, second hand. I rebuilt the entire thing and the components were in pretty bad shape. I wanted the frame really. I put a new 105 R7000 group on it and some other decent parts on. Weighs a bit over 16.5 lbs without any weight weenie parts. Its a fun bike to ride. Dope bike my guy!
I havr a thick cable and pad lock. At the Bar, I lock it on the inside of the outdoor patio on the rail. I sit at a table where my eyes can be in her. At my locsl grocery store, they have a slot machine room, and I lock her in there. It os always 10 items or less when I am grocery shopping with a bicycle, so I am there no longer than 10 minutes max.
Love ur bike, I have that same frame, my derailer had the same problem and it was a pain to find hangers, how were you were able to get hangers for the frame?
Jeff George, I bought it at the same place I buy all my High Technology goods, AT THE APPLE STORE! ... just kidding, I bought it on Ebay. I searched on "Huffy Decals".
@@ErichVonCartmann im inspired. had my nashbar shimano 105 for years with no issues whatsoever. (granted im running easton components and shimano 105 everything including compact crankset and hubs) but after finally seeing your proper flat bar conversion to offer me the insight; i finally have the courage to go full carbon street machine. thx again ERICH!
@@vanimaladventures , if I may ask, why do you want to put a flat bar on her? For me personally, I have another road bike and I just like the look of flat bars. For me, having a drop bars on her would have been slightly better, but not crucial, and this bike is more of my fun city bike and commuter bike, so it is more about style than function.
Erich von Cartmann I just looked it up and I’m astounded. Wish Huffy wasn’t big box and took baby steps towards improving their bikes. Honestly, I feel that all the big box bike companies could do so much better with the quality of their bikes, but it seems their too focused on quantity and making money to care
@@Rocky4719 , it is what it is. We are all into making money. I think big box bikes are fine for what they are. They get people into biking. We all start with big box bikes.
Erich von Cartmann fair point homie. I still wish big box companies stepped it up a bit though. Maybe put in parts that aren’t completely bottom of the barrel, like those Shimano “flat face” derailleurs and those generic 3x7 drivetrains. Would it honestly kill the company to knock off a couple teeth on their gearing and put Tourney on all their bikes at the minimum? They don’t even have to add disc brakes to the commuters, they can get away with rims for those. Baby steps is what I’m trying to convey
@@Rocky4719 , They just don't care; and as long as they can sell bikes, why should they care about gearing and drivetrains? You seem you know what you want, so why do you need those "general" store like Walmart? Big Box Walmart does sell quality bicycles, they even sell $4000 bicycles, but not at the store, only online. They sell what they sell at the store to make money. A $500 bicycle at Walmart tends to just sit and make the store lose money; so they have to sell bikes for $300 or less to move inventory and make money. I guess what I am asking is, why do you ask soo much from the "General" Store? If you want decent quality, they you should visit your LBS? I have seen decent bikes at my LBS that go for $300, and best of all, they will tune it for you and give you a free 1st tune up.
Long story short, the bike was $750 shipped during the Bike Nashbar 2017 Christmas Sale... however, with the Carbon wheels, and all the upgrades, I am now around $2000. Edit: to get the price correct.

What’s there to hate man, that’s one beautiful looking street fighter!!
You know how Life is, full of Haters. Erich von Cartmann loves and welcomes the Haters!
That is one nice build. 18lbs? I'm motivated to build a bike, now.
Awesome. Beautifully done. What is the size of tyres ?

One thing I wish I could do on this bike is put some 32 or 35mm tires on it. However, overall I can't complain.
Jaw dropping aesthetic!
Looks even better now that I have a white seat post
Great video and great looking bike. How are you locking up this beauty to ensure its not stolen while enjoying a pint or shopping?

@Ronaldo Domingo, thank you. I have Ultegra Brakeset and Ultegra Cranks now, so should be even better !
Nice bike, did the same thing at my fixed track bike
Nothing gives the control as the wide flat bars
This is a dream in my life
Straight bars provide greater stability, on major city traffic. Drop Handel bars limit vision.
Looks awesome!
the Worlds BEST Huffy! lmao.. You had ME fooled anyways!.. :)
Beautiful bike.
Love ur bike, I have that same frame, my derailer had the same problem and it was a pain to find hangers, how were you were able to get hangers for the frame?
Thank you. Bike came shipped with am extra hanger. I heard that it uses the same one as Fuji bikes. I need to get more hangers just in case.
A sweet looking bike.
It is good to change straight handle bars ?
not really if you want a road bike, however this is an Urban Assault Commuter bike
@@ErichVonCartmann ok bro i like your bike
Looks good, like the theme.
Thank you Sir, I do get a lot of compliments when I take out my "Huffy" Dream Build in Public.
Where did you get the Huffy decals

daim i love this bike so much.
Wait til I put on the Shimano Ulegra Crankset and Brake Calipers, she will even look more amazing. Will update a new video once I install those parts

Is that 25T cogs? nice and great project
28 tooth is the biggest cog in rear.
Nothing to hate that’s good looking bike wish I had it but is the frame a huffy ?
Not a Huffy. Frame is a Bike Nasbar Carbon 105, the decals says "Huffy", but eve the decals are NOT origial :-(
