    Growing up in the far far north I think to myself why did I move away? To Auckland for work? To Sydney for more work? To new New York for I have no idea what... And to London to realise the only place I want to be is the far far north...

      it's beautiful up there aye, New Zealands got it all, you can live in what ever landscape you want in this country, Maybe not a desert, but I don't think many people live in any desert in the world. The farfar north is a stunning place to me I'd happily live up here.

      Well come find us and camp for a couple of days. We don't really chase people these days after getting several people wanting to come find us and then they don't show, so we just go where we go and we welcome people to come join where we are. Exciting for your upcoming travels though it's a great life style.

    What a fantastic time you are having up that way, so nice having some fresh fish off the beach. Seems like a great time of year to head around Northland while it isn't too busy and the weather is still mostly warm. Less of that long settled summer weather that we get down south though.
    Sounds like the next video is going to be a mammoth effort and showcase some great spots as always. Cheers

    Dude, that brought back memories for me. Ya put a lump in my throat! I used to go camping up at ramp road with my parents in the late 70s and early 80s. Mum and Dad used to park their 1974 Oxford right about where you had your van. I can remember my dad surfcasting there, and the fishing was pretty good back then too. We used to go up there just about every year back then. Great memories.

    Cool trip bro, ive got a portable loo, 2 20l chillybins a clear 17l clear plastic storage bin under a bench down oneside and a sitting sleeping bed down the other side, bells and whistles in the back i removed the seats in my 4x4, welcome to far north brother. Regarding the no freedom camping i dont worry cause im allways having a fish out. Could imagine the mess and the diminishing natural character if it was packed out all the time. In some areas anyway. Just my 2cents

      @leopardsgowild  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      cheers bro. yes places that are over run with tourists get a bit much especially in generally peaceful areas we've seen a bit of that on the road on our travels. Sounds like you have an epic and basic set up for some cool adventures bro. Do you have some videos of your own? Having a fish is def a good way to stay where you are, I imagine it would turn into an argument as soon as they see the kids, and know that they will be sleeping while i'm night fishing. maybe one day I'll have a try on that one. thanks for checking us out bro.

      Yes they are not very dog friendly but it seems no one obeys the signs up there, especially the locals. Dogs at every DoC camp we went to. I reckon if Dogs are well controlled and obedient I don't see a problem, otherwise on leash, then why not.
