Stuff like Gremlins of course, Ghost busters, Caddy Shack, Sandlot, and All the “Vacation”movies are just a few of my favorites lol.
Fun fact: Along with Frank Welker and Howie Mandel, Peter Cullen was also a part of the voices. If his name sounds familiar, that's because he's the voices of Optimus prime and the Predator.
24:58 and not only that. Frank Welker is also known for voicing Megatron and Soundwave in the G1 Transformers cartoon and also in Transformers The Last Knight.
By this time next year I'm hoping for a Kill Count for "Violent Night". I know it's more of an action film than horror, but it features Santa Claus saving a family from evil mercenaries, and racks up an INCREDIBLE body count while he and the rest of the family he's trying to save does it.
For the 80s fans, you might remember Frank Welker as Megatron/Galvatron and Soundwave from various Transformers media (including the original 84-86 show and original 86 film).
i’m finally facing my fear after 22 years of being terrified of this film and i’ve avoided it since being a kid. i have watched all sorts of horror films and not felt anything but damn this little guys scare the shit out of me.
15:56 I'm not sure about that. I read the script and it has her pill case roll down the stairs of the attic, and her body is shown to be in the attic mostly eaten. I didn't see anything about her being decapitated. Of course this decapitation scene may have been in an earlier revision of the script
There were 3 specific rules for taking care of a mogwai- no bright light, no getting it wet, and no feeding it after midnight. Had they listened, Kingston Falls wouldn't have been taken over or destroyed.
I will never forget how loud I was cheering for the mom Lynn when she was kicking ass in the kitchen the first time I saw this movie!! I was expecting her to just scream and flail till she got killed, so I was yelling "THERES A KNIFE! TAKE THE KNIFE!!" but then she took the knife and I was like oh! Good job!!! Like she used her brain!! That's good writing!! Plus every kill in that scene was so incredibly creative I'll never forget any of them! From the blender, to the garbage disposal, and ESPECIALLY the microwave kill!!! So gross!!! Well done!!!
And actually defended herself she was a great character, in fact all of the characters in the Peltzer family were great, as well as Kate, the cops were funny, Deagle was so great to see her funny death and even Dick Millers character was great, this movie is so good
I remember doing Kate's Santa monolog in my high school theater class, mainly because it was last minute to find something and it was short and easy to remember quickly, and I even went all out and made myself tear up in the middle of it 😂
Fun fact! The “after midnight” rule is explained in the cartoon prequel. The real rule was “never feed them during the hours when the moon is at its highest point in the sky”. Humanity shortened it
That's interesting. The 'after midnight' rule always irked me a bit, because it seemed so arbitrary. And more importantly, when does it end? At what time is feeding allowed again? Why not 'from sunset to sunrise' or such? Lol I remember being puzzled and annoyed by that question all the way back in the 90s. (I was only a toddler, when the movie first aired in '84).

Except for when it comes to Star Wars then the only thing that’s on par with her destruction of it would be how the creators of the mcu destroyed they’er gold mine 🤣
@@snow1546 Neither thing has been destroyed but go off
@@Malnofski maybe you haven’t paid attention but phase 4 of marvel actually lost money and all the Star Wars films outside of like 2 was how do I put this not at beloved as they we’re hoping and same goes for a good portion of the Star Wars shows so like if losing money doesn’t mean ruined by business standards then maybe your correct
She's the one The O.G Star Wars fans need to kill
@@Malnofski "Neither thing has been destroyed but go off"
The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker are absolute garbage, cope with it. It has been proven multiple times why they're objectively not good Star War films
28:55 who else immediately knew Jame's monolog would be about Zoran's kill count record
That bye Billy from gizmo always gets me , no , matter how many times I've seen it , such moving moment
From gizmo always gets me, no, matter seen it such moving moment for real life
It never crossed my mind that Gremlins could be covered on this channel, it's a huge favorite of mine! I guess I never fully processed it was horror but it's honestly great!
The monologue from James before the numbers is the best thing I've ever seen
Genuinely so happy to see Gremlins covered on the show! Both the first and the second have been 2 of my all-time favourite movies since I was a kid :)
Goonies makes Gremlins look like House Party 3.
I forgot how much I love this movie!! please consider doing the sequel!
There's only one sequel.
@@matthewallen445 sadly
Isn’t there a reboot or something coming out soon?
@@Austynrox there is but it’s gonna be a tv series. (I don’t think it’s gonna carry the same vibe as the movies.)
@@InvaderBB ahh ok
they could've made gizmo as a hand puppet only having eye blinkers and mouth movement as animatronic parts
27:38 Major respect for the MultiVersus reference! 👍 Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
I agree
Honestly, the Gremlins look so cute and silly. Edit: 14:22 That jumpscare noise sounded like the Murder Monkeys from Dark Deception.
Yeah stock sound effects
That's literally what I thought about the same sound effect used in dark deception
Omg yes, I knew it reminded me of something😂 WOW 🤩
Merry Christmas to James and the rest of Dead Meat! A channel as good as this is such a rarity in TH-cam's landscape today.
This movie is why I'm a horror fan. I was so scared of everything as a kid but I was obsessed with this movie! It's still one of my favorites. So much fun!
I actually watched these with my family which some say might be kind of weird, but I don't find it weird at all. We were really looking forward to this one. Happy holidays to all, and have a Happy New Year
Not weird at all, first time i ever watched it i was like 8 years old and watched it with my dad lol. He put me on a lot of older movies when i was little and for some reason i always enjoyed them. Stuff like Gremlins of course, Ghost busters, Caddy Shack, Sandlot, and All the “Vacation”movies are just a few of my favorites lol.
@@BlondesWZ I'm referring to the kill count videos, not the movie
@@wolfey1579 ahh yeah i see now lol.
Fun fact: Along with Frank Welker and Howie Mandel, Peter Cullen was also a part of the voices. If his name sounds familiar, that's because he's the voices of Optimus prime and the Predator.
X nods x Optimus is best bot.
@@Silver_wind_1987_ q.
Don’t forget that Peter Cullen also has voiced Eeyore!
@@mase5995 I also forgot to mention he was the vocal effects for the titular character in the original Predator movie.
24:58 and not only that. Frank Welker is also known for voicing Megatron and Soundwave in the G1 Transformers cartoon and also in Transformers The Last Knight.
Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime and Ironhide in the G1 cartoon is also in it.
If you include Golden Age era cartoons, he voiced Hefty Smurf, and Azrael in the live action and CGI movies!
@@StefanBarsanalina He's not just the current voice of Scooby-Doo but has been the voice of Fred Jones from the VERY BEGINNING!
“even worse, he’s been RADICALIZED” cut to Stripe skating, took me tf out 🤣🤣🤣
This was everything I was hoping for in a Gremlins Kill Count. Thank you for covering this childhood classic, James!
I have an ultra addiction to these videos, it's literally tradition for my family to do a watch spree every halloween, been like that for a few years.
By this time next year I'm hoping for a Kill Count for "Violent Night". I know it's more of an action film than horror, but it features Santa Claus saving a family from evil mercenaries, and racks up an INCREDIBLE body count while he and the rest of the family he's trying to save does it.
Would anyone else be down to a sitcom scenario of James having to live with all the horror icons
Best crossover EVER!!!!!!!
For the 80s fans, you might remember Frank Welker as Megatron/Galvatron and Soundwave from various Transformers media (including the original 84-86 show and original 86 film).
Been waiting for this video so long, I’m so happy right now! Merry Christmas James! 🎄
The Dead Meat Patreon is the best money I spend lol. Happy Hollidays you guys!
James' sponsorship segments never disappoint
i’m finally facing my fear after 22 years of being terrified of this film and i’ve avoided it since being a kid. i have watched all sorts of horror films and not felt anything but damn this little guys scare the shit out of me.
I didn't think Gremlins was going to get the kill count treatment from dead meat.
I love the behind the scenes trivia! It’s part of why I love your shows. I find all that stuff fascinating
The Time Machine in the scene is actually working. In the next scene of the convention,it outright disappears with people wondering how
15:49 they actually just killed them and not touched the burgers, fries and other things
Gremlins is so nostalgic to me, thankyou for covering this film James 😊
25:25
Now I want a Robot Chicken parody or something of Final Destination featuring Gremlins.
And actually defended herself she was a great character, in fact all of the characters in the Peltzer family were great, as well as Kate, the cops were funny, Deagle was so great to see her funny death and even Dick Millers character was great, this movie is so good
i requested this movie a couple of years ago, glad to get to see it be featured. one of my favorite movies, thanks for covering it !
Always love your content. Your behind the scenes knowledge always makes the whole thing even better
Hearing a Gremlin go “Oh my god,” at 2:03 got a laugh out of me
I remember doing Kate's Santa monolog in my high school theater class, mainly because it was last minute to find something and it was short and easy to remember quickly, and I even went all out and made myself tear up in the middle of it 😂
Honestly that’s gonna get you in the movie industry
Lol
I remember being puzzled and annoyed by that question all the way back in the 90s. (I was only a toddler, when the movie first aired in '84).
