Yes! I’m glad the copyright was resolved! I hope you don’t have to keep dealing with this James, but we will wait and thank you for trying to make the best videos you can!
I do love how game Jenifer Tilly was for everything. I mean, there are so many actors that “have” to do what’s in the script. Of course this is getting rarer in modern films, but I love the fact that Jenifer was clearly in love with her role. She understood the satirical nature of the sequel while also cementing her backstory into the story, and the improv and interviews alone shows how much she loves to play Tiffany. Especially when she was game to put Jenifer Tilly into the movie as herself as well as Tiffany, with Tiffany using Jenifer as an alias and also using her real life professional poker career in later sequels.
20:10 My theory for why Chucky is uh, anatomically correct, is because according to the original Child's Play, the longer Chucky's soul is in the doll, the more the human the doll became, being capable of feeling pain, bleeding, and most importantly here, taking on Charles Lee Ray's physical characteristics - the plastic becomes more skin-like, his face aging, hairline receding, etc. It would make sense that, given enough time, he'd develop a little dolly dingaling. Especially since for as much time as Chucky's soul lives in a doll, his mind mostly hangs out in the gutter.
ngl it would be funny tho as well if chelsea comes in during the wedding and be like "What is going on here." and you see James book it with the Raycons
I really think this franchise wouldn’t be what it is without Jennifer Tilly. Tiffany is such a fantastic addition to the Chucky canon, and Tilly SELLS it with every word.
The “peanut-butter baby” joke about Tiffany making that noise had me laughing hysterically. Probably the funniest joke on the kill count to me. Well done, script-writers!
I just got to this part of the video and immediately ran to comments to find if anybody had mentioned it. I don't think I've laughed so hard ag a reference to anything before. I'm weak
I feel like Bride of Chucky is arguably the most important film in the franchise outside of the first Child's Play. It completely revitalized the franchise while also giving it the campiness and dark comedy the future films would follow.
But that might've been for the worst. It's not scary at the slightest. The OG Child's Play trilogy did have a decreasing amount of subtle scary moments within each film for sure, but even the weakest one like CP3 had a handful of scenes I found myself enjoying with it's characters, story, scares, and even some saddens with the grenade kill. Here, I just wished the loud noises, corny one-liners, and dumb characters just... Stop.
I wouldn't exactly say it revitalized it given that seed came out and did pretty so-so and the franchise was basically done for a decade after that. I'd say Curse and Cult did more to revitalize the franchise than Bride did.
Is it me or is David a way more supportive friend than those two dingus' deserve? Dude was willing to be a reverse beard, seems to be the only person that thinks them eloping is a good idea and then I guess teleporting himself to them and risking being charged as an accessory to several murders just to be their marriage counselor.
He literally could've given that speech over a three way call with them and achieve the same thing. My theory is he knew the cops would find out he's their friend and question him. I liked it so much and in my opinion the best one because it reminded me of one of the top 3 greatest Friday the 13th movies fvj cuz of how late 90's and early 2000's it felt
The fact that there were a lot of recycled scenes and ideas from the first few movies really proves the writing rule- don't ignore your scraped ideas (or at least save them if they don't work for now) since you can always use them for a later on story.
Recycling is much better than just throwing away ideas lol. Plus, I know from experience that it's annoying to have a good idea but to have to remove it because the story calls for it. That good idea doesn't disappear, you always think about it lol
10:36 This death scene was actually the subject of an early episode of “Mythbusters” where they confirmed that not only was this scene 100% accurate, but the fact that she used bubble bath and/or epsom salts might have made the electricity flow even more lethal.
20:07 I always took this as Tiffany making… an addition to Chucky when she was fixing him up in the beginning. After all, her doll is also anatomically correct, so it’s probably Tiffany’s doing, not the Good Guy doll factory.
I’d argue this was the movie that CEMENTED Chucky as a horror icon. It showed that he wasn’t just a 90’s gimmick but can fit into horror comedy and became the main character in this story line.
this movie was also the one that moved from using a title that could go for either the protag or antag (childs play) to a title based specifically on the villain-protagonist Chucky.

Let’s appreciate how far the kill count graphics have come. From stick figures to whole graphs broken down and categorically separated. This channel is by far the best on TH-cam I’ve came across. With wonderful people to boot.
20:09 James: "Come again now?!?" Another amazing line delivery, between the tone of his voice and his straight look he has on his face!😂🤣 James is the fucking best!🌟❤️
I absolutely adore just how in-depth The Numbers segments have been for these recounts, with this episode especially. All the methods mentioned and comparisons make for such an interesting look at the film, moreso than just "here's how many people died. This was a boy, this wasn't. Neat!"
It took me all these kill counts to realize that Brad Dourif (who plays Charles Lee Ray) before he dies, also plays Wormwood from the LOTR series. One of the things I absolutely love about the Kill Count is how it credits the actors so much and shows other films they're a part of. Even though James didn't explicitly bring this up, (or maybe he did and I missed it in a previous Kill Count since these are remakes), even just the extra focus he really puts on all the actors involved makes it so awesome and helpful to make connections between actor's careers like this and I really appreciate it.
I was today years old when I found out Jennifer Tilly, the most sexiest woman I ever saw, voiced Sylvia From Monsters Inc and Grace from Home on the Range. I cannot believe Disney got her to voice act for their characters. I'm shocked, stunned and flabbergasted.
Yeah and that part where She tricks the pervert guy who keeps bothering Her and ties him to the bed and let Chucky Smother him with a pillow and She's laughing at him lol it was actually pretty funny looking would you agree with me?
I recently moved for college, and watching these videos bring me comfort by reminding me of the days I'd wake up on a weekend, make breakfast, and sit down to eat while my brothers played their game and grandma knitted in her room. Also, glad you fixed the situation with youtube
I'm so sorry James for all the copyright issues you have been dealing with for a while now but thankfully you were able to release this kill count. Thank you James for putting all your hard work and dedication for us to enjoy. We love you James
Bride of Chucky was the first movie in the franchise that I watched, the scene where the dolls were smashing was forever embedded into my 7 some year old mind-
The sponsor bit was probably the best one yet!! I’m so glad it’s finally out, and I really hope you don’t have to deal with anymore copyright claims for this series… especially for Seed/Curse
That sponsor promo is God-tier! I've paused the video just after it to come down and write this hahaha The work you and your mammothly talented crew do for your audience, your sponsors and yourselves is second-to-none! Your hard work never goes unrecognised by your audience and it is a continuing pleasure to be subscribed to this channel, I promise you. Thank you guys, you all constantly bring a smile to my face!
This is the version of the Chucky Doll that comes to mind when I think of the Chucky movies. That Hellraiser costume was on point!! I can’t imagine how much money James and Chelsea spend on costumes and props.
"Wait, Chelsea is my wife" made me laugh so hard, poor Chelsea. I hope my fiancée never contemplates leaving me for some Raycon headphones after we get married!
Although (human) Tiffany's screen time was brief, it sure was memorable. She looked and performed good despite what she claimed in the "Jennifer's Diary" section in the Bonus Features. She was feeling very awkward and sometimes whacked out of her mind from taking doses of Demerol. Her outfits looked good but to her it was physical torture. Two weeks and she was out. The reason I like her so much is because of that voice. It's hammed up for this movie. Something about a woman with that raspy(?) bit in the voice is pretty cool. Brittany Murphy had it and so does Alecia Moore (P!nk).
I'm so glad the copyright issue was resolved! I know the channel has always had issues with the chucky series and you still decided to follow through with recounting the series. Thank you James for all the work you and your team has put into the kill counts lately despite all the copyright and youtube bs.
This was the movie that brought be into horror and made be realise my love for horror/gothic style. It just had the right amount of gore, wit and style and my tiny 13 year old brain said "yes" to all of this. I'm so happy this whole series is being done for a recount.
Agreed. 8 Simple Rules was the last landmark sitcom of John Ritter’s comeback to TV. A few decades after Three’s Company too! I’ll bet the show would’ve lasted longer than three seasons had he lived. Then again, his TV daughter Kaley Cuoco wouldn’t move on to star in her later sitcom Big Bang Theory.
@@thealjohnsonshow2188 how is it a "fun" fact, literally nobody here knows who u are its not really incredibly interesting or "fun" when some random person says their favourites.
12:04 not gonna lie. I've always put it in my head that the first 4 movies took place in Illinois or Missouri in the case of Child's Play 3. When I seen Lockport, I just assumed that Tiffany lived in the suburbs because Lockport, IL is a real place. It's about 25-30 miles outside of Chicago and where CM Punk went to High School. I'll be honest. I'll never understand how they went from Chicago/Chicagoland area to the East Coast. Ik it's just a movie but it's always made me think where everything is set in general. Especially by the time we get to Curse of Chucky
Yes! I’m so glad that the whole copyright issue was resolved! Bride and Seed are my favorite Chucky movies because me and my cousins used to watch this at my grandmas house haha
This was actually the first piece of Chucky media I ever saw, and I wouldn't have it any other way This is still my favorite child's play movie, mostly because of nostalgia

Does anyone else think it's manically and inexplicably adorable seeing Chucky sit and drink out of a fishbowl
The "reverse beard" joke about David made me laugh more than it probably should've. Great video as always!
20:24
That “NO!!!!” Should not have made he laugh as much as it did.
I’m loving these sponsor skits. Also I’m super bummed that Malignant won’t get a kill count soon, but at least we still get the Scream Recounts! Yesssssss
i was gonna skip when the ad began but when it transitioned into the skit im glad i didnt lol
22:13 - you can tell how frustrated James is by his delivery right here LOL he is DONE with Jesse and Jade’s bullshit!
This movie exploded when it released. I can understand it being many people's favorite.
13:38 “who tf is martha stewart?” the way that line is delivered is the funniest thing to me in this entire franchise
it's one of my favorite lines too- the way he sounded genuinely confused
Let’s appreciate how far the kill count graphics have come. From stick figures to whole graphs broken down and categorically separated. This channel is by far the best on TH-cam I’ve came across. With wonderful people to boot.
"GO AHEAD AND SHOOT. I'LL BE BACK. *I ALWAYS COME BACK!"*
Dang it, William Afton, your catchphrase is a reference, and I never even realized it.
20:09
James: "Come again now?!?"
Another amazing line delivery, between the tone of his voice and his straight look he has on his face!😂🤣 James is the fucking best!🌟❤️
I absolutely adore just how in-depth The Numbers segments have been for these recounts, with this episode especially. All the methods mentioned and comparisons make for such an interesting look at the film, moreso than just "here's how many people died. This was a boy, this wasn't. Neat!"
Dead Meat is the best channel on TH-cam honestly, I'm so glad James was able to get this copyright issue resolved. He earns all the praise.
Lol 🤣
It's better if your shit is woke because then all Dead Meat will di is suck your off and not insult you in any way shape or form
*Celia, from Monsters Inc.

We love you James
i love how james is getting more in depth this show is getting better and I love it keep up the work man!
"attacked by plastic fetus" has to go down as one of my favorite death descriptions
23:39 I love how perfectly this is synced up to chucky's mouth
Bride of Chucky was the first movie in the franchise that I watched, the scene where the dolls were smashing was forever embedded into my 7 some year old mind-
💀💀💀💀💀💀
Chucky: "I'll come back. I ALWAYS COME BACK!!"
Me: *side eyes William Afton*
William, holding a gun: "That, you piece of shit, is my fucking line!"
Imma be honest: this has been one of the funniest dead meat episodes for a good while. Great job James!
The sponsor bit was probably the best one yet!! I’m so glad it’s finally out, and I really hope you don’t have to deal with anymore copyright claims for this series… especially for Seed/Curse
Glad to see this released. Though I feel so bad that the crew had to go through so much to release these recounts.
Funnily enough I think the Pinhead get up was Zoran's! It was used in his Social Mediasochist sequel video for a few scenes
@@cal_amity7319 Yeah, you're probably right. lol
I am SO glad you were able to get this released today James!
"Wait, Chelsea is my wife" made me laugh so hard, poor Chelsea. I hope my fiancée never contemplates leaving me for some Raycon headphones after we get married!
Just watching that made me think “WHAT WOULD CHELSEA SAY?!?” the whole time.
That was a great William Afton impression. Him screaming I always come back made me have game theory flashbacks.
That Raycon skit was probably the funniest and the best ad I've ever seen in a video, great job James! 😂
James: Oh wait, Chelsea is my wife
16:05 I cackled at that gag and had to replay it a good few times
I love how this series is such a roller coaster of genres over the years.
"The police chief knows how to deal with a problem child."
I hope I'm not the only one who got this reference.
When James said “Motherf**** this isn’t the 1950s” when Jesse started naming everything he was goin to do with the $1000 I started dying
That 8 simple rules joke made me beyond happy because so many people never watched it and it was so so good
1. Thank God this is finally here!
2. Fun fact: Child's Play 1, Child's Play 2 & Bride of Chucky are my 3 all-time favorite Chucky films.
how is that fun?
@@scott--1629
I'm sorry?
@@thealjohnsonshow2188 how is it a "fun" fact, literally nobody here knows who u are its not really incredibly interesting or "fun" when some random person says their favourites.

Okay?
12:04 not gonna lie. I've always put it in my head that the first 4 movies took place in Illinois or Missouri in the case of Child's Play 3. When I seen Lockport, I just assumed that Tiffany lived in the suburbs because Lockport, IL is a real place. It's about 25-30 miles outside of Chicago and where CM Punk went to High School.
I'll be honest. I'll never understand how they went from Chicago/Chicagoland area to the East Coast. Ik it's just a movie but it's always made me think where everything is set in general. Especially by the time we get to Curse of Chucky
James is the only guy who can make you not want to skip through sponsorships
CoryxKenshin is my number 2 for that
Yes! I’m so glad that the whole copyright issue was resolved! Bride and Seed are my favorite Chucky movies because me and my cousins used to watch this at my grandmas house haha
This was actually the first piece of Chucky media I ever saw, and I wouldn't have it any other way
This is still my favorite child's play movie, mostly because of nostalgia
Same but mostly because of Tiffany, I dressed as her fo Halloween one year
Glad it was resolved, this one was worth the 31 minutes, thanks Dead Meat Crew, I’m always thankful you all put so much effort into these videos.
11:58 My personal favorite Chucky line
22:22 | Truck-kun has taken yet another victim's life. God bless this man.
I wonder what isekai anime he ended up in 🤔
Chucky anime will be fantastic
I’ve noticed that the more Chucky quips and makes jokes, the more James does too.
Can we just appreciate James for trying all he could to get this kill count out
11:14 Tiffany:YOU SON OF BITCH WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME
Chucky:HeHeHeHeHe
Yeah lol and that pervert guy that kept bothering Her and She tied him to the bed and tease him and then let Chucky put the pillow over his face and sitting on it Smothering him she's laughing lol it was actually pretty funny looking would you agree with me?
Yeah and he kinda Deserve it as well would you agree with me?
I would
I am so glad this came out and I honestly think that Don Mancini saved the Chucky franchise instead of ruining it like a lot think. Thank you for see this my way James 😁
I remember when this originally came out 4 years ago and was happy to see it. Now I’m just proud because of how far the channel has come. From a complete project and just a space for horror fans to becoming one of the premiere horror channel on TH-cam and an essential for horror fans to come and learn more about their favorite movies. So happy for the growth and seeing you explore our favorite movies in different and more informative ways James
I’m so glad everything got resolved and this came out, it was great
