I recently graduated with a BA in Architecture and have started working as a part 1 architectural assistant. I have been thinking about doing a masters in QS instead of finishing off my Architecture degree which also requires a masters. The reason for this is because I think QS get paid more than Architects. Is this true and what would your advise be.
I'd suggest you look at what you would enjoy doing every day. Research both Quantity Surveying and Architecture. The money will be great with both professions if you're any good. I hope this helps.
I wanted to a do masters in QS with a bachelors in a different sector and was wondering would it be to difficult as I have no history or knowledge in Quantity surveying at all.
No it will be fine as long as you have a supportive employer. We've assisted trainee QS's with backgrounds outside of construction who have excelled in the QS space.
@@Metroun Hie I'm starting a Masters in QS in January and im also coming from a different sector, I would love to be assisted or guided through QS , how best can I get hold of you. Thanks
