Good show on the snow chains, but I think even vets of the tundra still struggle each time they are lined up to get them on and be sent on their way (perhaps it's the -60 windchill that blows any remaining dexterity to shreds?). Having inimitable Fanny's kitchen on hand, maybe some fresh, hot disposable cuppas of cocoa to share around to the cars behind would help brighten the wait. Brrr!!!

If your glass jars are making a noice while you're driving (making sure it's the jars first before blaming Emily...opps). Then you can add those little small transparent stopper things that you put inside draws and doors in the kitchen so they don't bang when you close them. Stick them to the outside of your glass jars about in the middle of them. Then when / if they hit the jar next to it. No noice. (then you can blame Emily)!

Ah , paint tin hack , use the paint and put the lid on then store them upside down so the skin now forms on the bottom , turn right side up and hey presto paint is now back at the top of the tin , boom . Crocs tip ,,,,,,,,, open bin , place crocs inside , close bin , walk away , boom job done 🤣

I've missed you SO much! What a cheerful start to a cold and dark Sunday evening ... If the flaps fail to do the job properly (!) you can buy proper Citroen/Fiat versions for only slightly more. They are really heavy duty and fit easily and perfectly. Rust shouldn't be a big issue since the bodies are galvanised. Looking forward hugely to your adventure. Have fun girls!!

Those crocs are just like a wee frog. Those snow chains looked a right nightmare to put on Fanny. At least she got a good spring clean. The van is looking good and the rubber mat finishes it off just perfect.
I hate crocs, but I love the lights. Crocs are the most visually unpleasant footwear nexts to cloggs, but at least clogs have been formed from wood (woof!) and are at least decorated.😁
Pro tip: If the lid of a paint can still seals (which most of them do even if they get beat up a bit) store the paint can with the roller you last used it with inside it and put away the can upside down to prevent the solvent from evaporating... Obviously store the upside down cans with some sort of a tray underneath (plastic lined shelve with a rim for instance) just in case...
You both are hilarious 😂 When I was a kid my parents always had towing caravans We loved going everywhere it was the best holidays. Our caravan was keep at a uncle's farm and my dad would bring it down a few days before we left for our holiday so he could check everything was working ok and wash outside of it. My mum would clean all the inside and my dad was like you he'd always sleep in it outside our house Ur video brought some great memories back to me there. PS Where are you going skiing ? If you are driving into Italy thru the Aosta valley, stop at Pila. You can park for free (maybe overnight too?) at the bottom of the mountain and then get a cable car up to the snow and it's a great area for beginners.
Guys, your hozelock connection to your cold water tank filler has a red collar. This means it has a one way valve fitted. Great for a garden tap to stop dirty water flowing backwards but this slows flow down considerably so will slow down your filling up. Swap it for one without a red collar. Any garden Center or diy outlet will supply.

Yep. Also practice fitting them in the dark with no lights as that will happen... Also, on some Italian mountain roads in a snow storm there will be men flagging you down. Do NOT stop ! They just want you to stop so you can't get going again so they can either sell you chains and/or charge you for putting them on. Lights and horn on and keep on truckin'
I want those Crocs! My country implements rolling blackouts because our energy grid is poorly maintained, so we are without power for nearly half the day. Those would work a treat!! 🔦😄
I've used snow chains for years and they've never been anything other than a PITA. Depending on the sort of terrain you plan on driving (probably not too bad in a 2WD van), you might want to take a look at "snow socks" as an alternative. ++ MUCH easier to fit. + Cheaper than chains. + Will do 95% of what chains will do. + Won't be a rusty mess when you use them for the first time in two years. - Will wear if you leave them on when there's no snow on the ground (although they still work even when there's holes worn through them). - Can dislodge on rough terrain.

Make sure to make A photo of the manual and store it somewhere where you can find it again (on your website for example). You will probably lose the manual or it will get wet when working in the snow.

Top tip for chains: fit them the night before if snow is forecast. It's easier to take them if not needed than to fanny around putting them on when it's cold and dark.
Gotta admit I love the Crocs, so practical and comfy. Top-Tip for futting chains (or any job at ground level), get a decent set of knee pads with hard covers. Saves your knees from stones and your trousers from mud n water.
Crocs people is my kind of people. Next episode Emily is gonna be using squeaky tennis shoes, and the next one lights on the sole sandals. Lou is dirrrty, that is a fact. Storage as long it is for snacks is always a must.

Make sure to make A photo of the manual and store it somewhere where you can find it again (on your website for example). You will probably lose the manual or it will get wet when working in the snow.

Top tip for chains: fit them the night before if snow is forecast. It's easier to take them if not needed than to fanny around putting them on when it's cold and dark.

Gotta admit I love the Crocs, so practical and comfy.
Top-Tip for futting chains (or any job at ground level), get a decent set of knee pads with hard covers. Saves your knees from stones and your trousers from mud n water.
Get rid of those snow chains and buy some autosocks.. weigh nothing and can apply in a jiffy. Used them on ambulances with no issues
