I got a message from campervibe on my commit above on this video to send a message to you on tele-gram! I’m just going to assume it’s not you guys! Can you check it out?
First - you have to change van for the next big trip, this is becoming beyond the joke. From myself I can recommend Sprinter 313 cdi 2.2 cdi , my father done with this engine from 60K till 135K without any issues , then only he have to change thermostat because the temp with the engine no go above 60 C, but the car still driving when the fault coming up !:)
One thing I love about your vlogs is the realness. You don’t edit out the bad parts of your journey & make viewers see vanlife through rose tinted glasses. You’re a massive inspiration because you face whatever challenge is thrown your way & always have a backup plan. Life is never perfect & it should never be perceived to be. Keep up the amazing work & most importantly - have fun! 😊 Xx
Another fantastic episode, thank you. Your cheerful resilience and sense of adventure is an example to us all. As an occasional sufferer of mental health issues, I’ve come to find your vlogs as a wonderful escape and I’m deeply grateful. I’m also not sure you both realise just how good your vlogs are - natural, wonderfully filmed and edited and always entertaining. More power to you both and here’s to many more episodes. ❤👍✌🌨🍰🧁
Lou the way you look at Emily when she talks is everything 🥹 The love is so palpable and genuinely warms my heart. Especially after a hard day. My absolute fave couple ❤️
AJ asking to go for a walk was the cutest. And in the snow!! He’s giving us value for money in this vlog. Loving the content as always. It’s great to have you back on the road, and I love this mix of content. 🥰
I for one, love seeing both the good and the bad. As a part time SUV dweller I can certainly relate…but the best thing about your vlog is watching the two of you taking care of problems while remaining cheerful and able to thoroughly enjoy yourselves regardless. Attitude is EVERYTHING!
He is super cute and very inquisitive, although sometimes too much so and like now has got a little scratch on his nose from poking his fat head into some branches 🤦🏻♀️😂🐕
It's quite normal (allegedly) to lose a couple of inches in the cold. You had the right plan though: go somewhere warm and get a friendly local to see to it! Also, no story's too good that it can't be interrupted by a quality innuendo! 😂 Love AJ's new clobber by the way. Looks like he enjoys a trip to the good shops! As for vlog content; the good, the bad and the stunning drone footage!
Honestly, you two were definitely made for one another. Loving catching up on the older videos. When we are on the road, we have to take the good with the bad. Trust me, I know very cold winters well. I am from Labrador where there are only 2 seasons, 8 months of winter and 4 months of summer. That inner tubing was awesome. Years ago, my sister in law and I went down a huge water slide. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. We were both quite large at the time. We came out of the shoots at the same time. We made a splash so big it soaked the onlookers at poolside. I am glad I did it but never again. LOL.
Absolutely adore you two. The mix of content is I think what keeps us all coming back - the scenery was stunning in this video, a real winter wonderland, but it's also interesting to see the daily struggles with the van. Keeps it real. And any AJ content is always welcome, what a handsome boy he is! Can't wait for more episodes xx
Pi55 off the wrong ppl, or park somewhere that someone doesnt like in france and expect tyres slashed, windows broken. A UK numberplate is a BIG TARGET on it as well.
I love how AJ tells you when he wants to go for a walk, but says nothing when someone’s banging on the door. 🤣Please stay safe and alert. I hope Fanny stays healthy and don’t cause you any more problems (but I think that’s wishful thinking). Love the scenery shots Lou, they’re fantastic. Till next week, have fun.
Keeping it real is why I love your channel. As a potential van owner & long time camper I appreciate your practical approach and enthusiasm for life! AJ is adorable too 🐾
🤣” crappy day life” is fantastic! As usual your production is fabulous! 👍 really enjoyed it all. AJ was brilliant, loved his galloping in the snow. Persons unknown “banging” on the van in the night…. Just goes to show , there are prats everywhere you go! 😮 Safe Travels❤
Just amazing as ever. I had my cold water tank burst inside the van, half full, flooded the van while I was away in canada so know the pain! Keep up the amazing photos!
As always a perfectly wonderful video, very well put together and very entertaining. Loving both the drone shots and the everyday life as it puts it all into perspective. You guys are so in harmony with each other that it radiates through the screen! just keep filming the way you are because you have the perfect balance.
You two are so brave & adventurous! Good thing Louise knows a lot about vehicle management, and Emily is such a great cleaner (among many other things). Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
As usual we enjoyed your video!!! So sorry to see you having some issues on your journeys. You asked so we're answering....we love to see it all. The good, the bad, the ugly, the breakdowns, the amazing places you get to see.... pretty much everything van life you get to experience!!! We love your humor & look forward to seeing what your up to each week! Keep it up ladies ❤️
This was the perfect vlog. Fun, informative, beautifully shot, and some drama as well. A great antidote for a dull January evening here in the UK. Thank you for sharing your lives with us! xx
I admire how you cope with the problems thrown at you, but keep smiling and keep filming. Great drone footage. Love the music choices too. Best of all is seeing AJ and Summer enjoying their adventures!
I'm only partway through the video so far, but the one thing that I worry about for you ladies is the dangers from unscrupulous prats. I'm so thankful you're all safe. Anyway! Wondering why you didn't just get some more velcro for AJ's coat instead of trekking around trying to find another jacket. If needed, you could always pin the one side of the velcro to his coat but better if you sew it on - still, just wondering. Oh, Louise is right, Switzerland is stunning. :)
I love your ‘crappy day life’ shots….you tell it as it is and that’s so very important. I did laugh at lovely AJ having a ball in the snow, bless you both for thinking of him….oh and we mustn’t forget Summer or she’ll get all huffy puffy!! 😅
Being that I'm currently living my vanlife vicariously through you, I think it's important you show the crappy day life as well as the epic drone shots. Keep it real!! Anyone who wants to get into vanlife should know the realities of people banging on your doors and frozen pipes. Your "oh well, move forward" attitude is fantastic, as are your videos! Safe travels!!
You both do so amazingly well and cope with anything life throws at you...... inspirational. Thank you for your videos, I love to see what the four of you get up to, beautiful scenery too. Well done everybody. X.
Another great vlog. I'm glad you are all safe. Great to see AJ frolicking, I hope Summer got a winter coat as well. Fingers crossed Fanny behaves 😬🐾 xx
Well, now that I’ve got to the end of your video, this is my final comment for this one. I love all that you do, you give us a great mixture of van life, scenery and the general day to day crap that you sometimes face. It’s a great mix and you never just concentrate on one thing such as the drone shots, or the scenery so in my opinion, you four are doing great! Just keep you footage coming as it is, especially the innuendo and snacking! Maybe you should rename your channel to ‘ Carry on van life’ … just a thought… Safe travels 😊
Hubby suggests that possibly when the engine changed you got an air bubble in the coolant and when it worked its way through to the header tank that caused the apparent loss of coolant. He is expecting this problem to come up in our Van-essa!
If the coolant disappears and it is not leaking or ending up in the oil, check if your engine has a breathing valve on the very top point of the cooling pipe. Mine was stuck and the engine sprayed the coolant on top of the engine. It vaporized leaving no trace of a leak. The sudden event in your case might be caused by the air pressure change and altitude. 👍 ps. Get a can of alcoholic windscreen washer fluid and pour some of that in your gray water tank to keep it from freezing. 🤓❄️🇫🇮
Glad you are safe ladies, probably kids larking around, but they don’t realise how scary it can be. We use a hot glue gun to glue Velcro back onto things if it comes off (re: dog’s coat). Fingered crossed for Fanny not falling apart on you 😅
Crappy van life stuff for us please 😂 The cinematic drone shots etc are stunning but for us they add the ‘Je ne sais quai’ to your videos which is appreciated and admired but we love watching you guys just sit and talk on a Q&A, or do a mission impossible slide down the stairs at home…. Building a van… putting Christmas decks up…. We are privileged to get a nosy into your lives and whatever you have time to create is appreciated. Cracking video AS ALWAYS. Amy Paul & Ted 🐾 x
I know France, well the French have a reputation but I have never found them unfriendly. Been going to France regularly since 2007 and have yet to have a bad experience.
We visited France once when we were living and working in Germany, and that was more than enough. We couldn't get back over the German border quick enough!
Been living in France for over 12 years ... and of course you will always get someone who may not be friendly..but here everyone goes out of there way to help you... great community... we have had no problems... but it dosnt matter wherever in the world u go... you will always get someone who is not nice...but its a great country ..never had any problems..
The mountains looked like mountains big and imposing they were never just in the back ground. So yes it has to be the .....coolant that took my breath away.
In my Diesel I used to slide a garbage bag between the a/c and radiator about half of the radiator, it gives the thermostat a chance to manage the radiator temp. One of the benefits was the fuel filter didn’t have to be changed as often as the wax didn’t come out of suspension, you might find the temp gauge works normally as well.
Completed my four year RTW overland in a 4x4 August '22. Frozen sink drain pipe - pour boiling water into the sink! Midnight 'knocks'...it happens, very rare. I had one in Dardanelles, Turkey, friendly police. As you know VAN life is an adventure, not a holiday. Wild camping is a science and an art. Very best to you both.
Keep up the "crappy day" live stuff and the epic scenery shots, I love everything you do and the crappy bits prepare me for what can go wrong in my van travels..
I hope your Fanny is feeling better 🤪 but if not, I found a tip that's a possibility: "A thermostat stuck in the open position will allow a constant flow of coolant causing a lower operating temperature. This increases emission, makes the engine wear faster, and leaves the temperature gauge reading cool at all time" 🤞
omg girls we got our van banged on this weekend sent you full story on insta xxxx that toboggan looks amazing couldn’t stop laughing at lou screaming ❤❤❤❤
Very funny about fanny funnels!!! Good to laugh, lifting me out of feeling down!!!! The sky views with mountain snow and ice are lovely with the gentle music. That kind of knock or any knock is one I am very afraid of being on my own!!!!. I love the day life footage of trials and tribulations, the excitement of AJ wishing to have playtime, the fun filled facts and laughed again at your tobogganing antics. The scenic photography and footage is all growing in professionalism .,...I like road route footage as long as it is not too much! You are both so happy to be there and show solidarity. Thank you. Hope you stay safe and also the vehicle behaves!
I love the scenery, but the daily life is educational. For my build, I plan to keep all my water inside and, for extremely cold nights, keep an electric blanket around them. You might want an electric pad to wrap around your pipes instead of a hair dryer. I love the sledding. My father used to pull us behind a snowmobile.
Great place Switzerland, we went to see our son row on the Rotsee, near Lucern. Lucern is lovely, the people are friendly and the transport arrives EXACTLY when it’s supposed to.
showing life as it is is what I prefer , it shows a variation which makes it far more interesting , like information of things in the areas you pass through , what you are doing Ithink works well and I always say don't try and fix what ain't broke ,👍👍
Camped 6 weeks in France many years ago. Other campers invited us for dinner every night! 🥖🥐🥑🍕🧆🥘🫕🍲🍝🥗🥙We were clearly On a budget!Friendly kind and generous. Love France and the French people! Tres bien!
You girls are doing great a mix of daily ups and downs and stunning scenery with some drone shots, all mixed in is the only way to be honest and true and realistic of van life so don't worry, keep on being you, be safe and enjoy yourselves! 👍❤️😘🤣🇬🇧
I like all of it. I hate that you have to deal with the frozen and broken water pipes - yuck! And, that's a part of your life and your journey. Your drone shots are a part of the art that you've grown into. AJ playing in the snow was such a bonus! I'm a subscriber because I am along for the journey, whatever or wherever it takes you two...uh, four! Be safe. Keep warm.
Thanking goodness you two are making your films! You have no idea how refreshing and re-creating you both are, and a perfect mix of daily, drone, humor, the unexpected, the adrenaline, the peaceful, the sites & sights, the frolic and traveling. Stay safe on those mountains, but they certainly are AJ's tonic! Nice cameo from Summer keeping watch over Fanny. Delightful and wonderful for the variety of different kinds of situations and themes. Love the assortment!
Loved this video including the sinister knockings in the night and the leaking/frozen sink. The scenery was nice as well. All your videos have a real feel good factor. A real tonic in the winter.
Show it as it is! Shame you are a bit on edge, Louise😢. But you’re so resourceful, what ever is thrown at you, you face it and overcome it. The scenery is absolutely stunning, I can’t get enough of it! I was a solo female van lifer before Covid but I lost my nerve after lockdown and don’t go anymore - I’d love to see what you’re seeing. Enjoy.
Love all of your content. I'm so glad you do not edit out the realities of van life. As for the scenery, I'll take all of that you can and want to film. Being real is what makes your channel so enjoyable to watch.

Cheese
Gree error is how to say it . Hope u bought cheese
Why didn't you add salt table salt to sinks before going to bed . It helps stop ice forming inside the waste pipe at up to -8

Great post Clara 👍
Hi girls, when I buy the Norvpn, do I download the app or will it bring me to playstore to download 🤔
With all that's going bad in this world, your little van family is like a breath of fresh air. Don't change a thing.
Another fantastic episode, thank you. Your cheerful resilience and sense of adventure is an example to us all. I wholeheartedly agree with you. X.
Thank you both, that’s us very kind of you and we are very grateful we can help even just a little 😀
Couldn’t put it better myself E Eyre . They are a great couple and so natural too x
Your content is amazing...not just the locations, but the editing, the music, the relaxed feel...better than full Netflix shows....
Lou the way you look at Emily when she talks is everything 🥹 The love is so palpable and genuinely warms my heart. Especially after a hard day. My absolute fave couple ❤️

That was so cute the shot of your dog poking his head out the castle opening. You showed a lot more personality that AJ has. 👏🏻👏🏻🥰
He is super cute and very inquisitive, although sometimes too much so and like now has got a little scratch on his nose from poking his fat head into some branches 🤦🏻♀️😂🐕

Crappy day lifestyle is FAAAAABULOUS! More please!

I loved a good mix up of content. So drone shots, scenery, everyday van life, AJ shots, architecture and fun facts, 2 min tours, innuendo.
You two are so brave & adventurous! Good thing Louise knows a lot about vehicle management, and Emily is such a great cleaner (among many other things). Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
Yeah I’d have to TH-cam it all if it was just me 😂
Loved AJ's excitement once he got a new coat, that was so cute. ❤ always enjoy your videos. Thanks for being you!
As usual we enjoyed your video!!! So sorry to see you having some issues on your journeys. You asked so we're answering....we love to see it all. 😀🥳🙌
Good as always!!
I think everyday struggles are more interesting than fantastic photos. U do both things very very good.
This was the perfect vlog. Fun, informative, beautifully shot, and some drama as well.
A great antidote for a dull January evening here in the UK.
Thank you for sharing your lives with us!
xx
I'm a Vibe Virgin and love the sense of Humour
Love the crappy day life stuff and the epic drone scenery shots ❤
Personaly proffer the real life problems and you handle it amazingly 😊
I admire how you cope with the problems thrown at you, but keep smiling and keep filming. Great drone footage. Love the music choices too. Best of all is seeing AJ and Summer enjoying their adventures!
Oh wow!!!!
France is gorgeous but Switzerland is on another level.
Truly beautiful!!!!
Thank you xx
I'm only partway through the video so far, but the one thing that I worry about for you ladies is the dangers from unscrupulous prats. I'm so thankful you're all safe. Anyway! Wondering why you didn't just get some more velcro for AJ's coat instead of trekking around trying to find another jacket. If needed, you could always pin the one side of the velcro to his coat but better if you sew it on - still, just wondering. Oh, Louise is right, Switzerland is stunning. :)
He needed a bigger one anyway to be fair, it was a little small for him and any excuse to get him some new clothes 😂
Love it all, the driving, the drone and the day to day existence too.
I love your ‘crappy day life’ shots….you tell it as it is and that’s so very important. I did laugh at lovely AJ having a ball in the snow, bless you both for thinking of him….oh and we mustn’t forget Summer or she’ll get all huffy puffy!! 😅
AJ was so happy, he is loving the snow, summer not so much, she is preferring to stay inside 😂
Bit of everything makes the videos interesting. Xx
Sorry to hear that you had to experience banging on your back doors. I have had it happen to me a few times and it really p***** me off.
So annoying especially at that time in the morning
Being that I'm currently living my vanlife vicariously through you, I think it's important you show the crappy day life as well as the epic drone shots. Keep it real!! So sweet - the things you do for your animals - and they are rescued animals
Another great vlog. I'm glad you are all safe. Great to see AJ frolicking, I hope Summer got a winter coat as well. Fingers crossed Fanny behaves 😬🐾 xx
She is like nope, I’ll stay in, in the warm 😂
thank you girls for capturing and sharing the sheer beauty of such a breathtaking country

Thanks
If the coolant disappears and it is not leaking or ending up in the oil, check if your engine has a breathing valve on the very top point of the cooling pipe. Mine was stuck and the engine sprayed the coolant on top of the engine. It vaporized leaving no trace of a leak. Get a can of alcoholic windscreen washer fluid and pour some of that in your gray water tank to keep it from freezing. 🤓❄️🇫🇮
😀🙌
I’m enjoying the day to day videos. It’s so heartwarming to see the good care that you take of AJ. 🥰
Glad you are safe ladies, probably kids larking around, but they don’t realise how scary it can be. We use a hot glue gun to glue Velcro back onto things if it comes off (re: dog’s coat). Fingered crossed for Fanny not falling apart on you 😅
Any excuse for me to buy him something new 😂 it is 2 years old so he was due a new one
Crappy van life stuff for us please 😂
The cinematic drone shots etc are stunning but for us they add the ‘Je ne sais quai’ to your videos which is appreciated and admired but we love watching you guys just sit and talk on a Q&A, or do a mission impossible slide down the stairs at home…. Building a van… putting Christmas decks up…. We are privileged to get a nosy into your lives and whatever you have time to create is appreciated.
Cracking video AS ALWAYS.

You guys are always so kind and supportive thank you 😊
AJ’s smile when he got his new jacket 🥰
Describing the French as 'friendly' is a first for me.
Truth. Not friendly, kinda arrogant, yet I still love France.
I know France, well the French have a reputation but I have never found them unfriendly. Been going to France regularly since 2007 and have yet to have a bad experience.

Yeah every where theres nasty people. Even in the states. Just got to not let the bad apples spoiled the beauty of the country
The editing on this video is incredible!
Cheers
You’re such good mums! Heartwarming
The mountains looked like mountains big and imposing they were never just in the back ground. So yes it has to be the .....coolant that took my breath away.
The GIANT letters for "THE NEXT DAY" is brilliant!
We love the real vlogs 🎉don’t worry just keep bringing it to us! Love the views and the quality is amazing 🤩
First time I've come across this channel. Such a fantastic video.
Better than any travel documentary on the telly.
I prefer the combination of both, because that's how real vanlife is
oh wow guys Switzerland is gorgeous and AJ looks beautiful lol
I prefer the everyday stuff and watching what you get up to more than epic drone photos. But I like both 👍
In my Diesel I used to slide a garbage bag between the a/c and radiator about half of the radiator, it gives the thermostat a chance to manage the radiator temp. One of the benefits was the fuel filter didn’t have to be changed as often as the wax didn’t come out of suspension, you might find the temp gauge works normally as well.

I like the combination of the scenery and the daily life and work - perfect blend in this one.

Loving both the lovely pretty bits and the crappy day life stuff!!
omg girls we got our van banged on this weekend sent you full story on insta xxxx that toboggan looks amazing couldn’t stop laughing at lou screaming ❤❤❤❤
Best van life channel by a country mile! Always a good laugh, keep the innuendo,s coming (and the interesting facts of course!)
Great video. I'm so impressed with your cheerful attitude to adversity .
I’ve been so busy.. I’ve just caught up…thank you for the video, it brought back good memories of Switzerland and there’s more to come.
Very funny about fanny funnels!!! Good to laugh, lifting me out of feeling down!!!! The sky views with mountain snow and ice are lovely with the gentle music. That kind of knock or any knock is one I am very afraid of being on my own!!!!. The scenic photography and footage is all growing in professionalism .,...I like road route footage as long as it is not too much! You are both so happy to be there and show solidarity. Thank you. Hope you stay safe and also the vehicle behaves!
Glad we did 😀 yeah that type of knock is definitely the worst type but it’s nice in 3 years is good going I would say 🙌 AJ just loved the snow ❄️ 🐕😀
I love the scenery, but the daily life is educational. For my build, I plan to keep all my water inside and, for extremely cold nights, keep an electric blanket around them. You girls are doing great a mix of daily ups and downs and stunning scenery with some drone shots, all mixed in is the only way to be honest and true and realistic of van life so don't worry, keep on being you, be safe and enjoy yourselves! 👍❤️😘🤣🇬🇧
Three of the vanlifers that I follow released "day in the life" vlogs today. Yours was the best.
Hi Em & Lou. Just a quick note to say we love all the components of the video. The format works really well. Cheers Deb & Dan
Good to see that those years in the Navy weren't wasted on Emily knowing that Switzerland is land locked! :)
😂😂😂🙈
Love seeing the gleeful play for AJ in his element. Enjoy all your content and playful editing.
Love all of your content, with all the ups and downs of winter van life. You make me smile from start to finish!
Wow,drone and road trip views are stunning!
Whatever content you load is looked forward to but I have to admit the shots of AJ in the snow were the best for me today. Well done.
Oh, what a perfectly ridiculously beautiful winter wonderland! And in a country that knows how to clear their roads, too!
Be safe. Keep warm.
Carry on doing you two plus pet's, that why we are here. 😊 best wishes.
Love it all! I’m living vicariously through you… keep doing what you do because you do it so well 🥳🥳
Real life ladies…love it all. Safe travels 😊
I love both the daily life and the cool scenery equally.
Loving it all. Realities of the beauty of van life.❤❤
Thanking goodness you two are making your films!
AJ looks very stylish, money well spent. Sorry about the knocking and engine troubles, but it looks like a lovely trip.
Amazing scenery. Great to see "warts and all" issues on a winter trip.
Enjoy.
Its good to see all the ups and downs. Dogs by the way love snow.
Another great video and I really want to see the day to day stuff as much as the scenic stuff, keep it up ladies
Love all of your content. I'm so glad you do not edit out the realities of van life. As for the scenery, I'll take all of that you can and want to film. Being real is what makes your channel so enjoyable to watch.
