Honour to have been introduced to your double burr. This grinder of yours probably the state of the art in hand coffee grinders. I had my heart set on the kinuM47 however my eye wanders over to your sophisticated double burr mill. Thank you for sharring your inginius new toy!❤
This is awesome. It reminded me of that James Hoffmanm video where he experimented with regrinding coffee. Seems like they applied that logic with this grinder, amazing.
If I had the money I would be collecting hand grinders. They look so cool. I only have a Lido E hand grinder right now but that could change very quickly. I’ve wanted a Comandante and the Kinu for a long time but already have very capable electric grinders at home. This looks like another great one to have. It adds up fast. I’d probably wait to see what other double burr grinders come out before buying one.
I like the idea that some kind of pre-grinding makes it easier to grind. I struggled a bit with lighter roasts on my Aergrind hand grinder, so next time I use it, I will try grinding twice (very coarse at first, then fine). The grind scale on top of the Aergrind makes it quite easy to change settings back and forth, so maybe this won't be too much work.
Great video Brian. Sounds like a manual take on the Kafatek MC4 idea. This grinder will be interesting to watch. I would wait for version two or three to come out. ;)
Thanks for the vid, Brian. The double burr sure seems like a game-changer. Countering torque has been the least enjoyable part of hand grinders for me. I like my Apollo. Glad you included it here. But I strictly use it for non-espresso brew methods because of the "workout" factor. And I agree with the directional criticism. ~90% of the world is right-handed. That may have something to do with the dislike of going CCW/anti-clockwise. Cheers!
Hi, nice grinder, and a great with two set burrs, meaby would be difficult to clean it all... My friend do you ever compare the kinu m47 and the apollo bplus!? I think the burrs are the same, almost all the system... Greetings from Mexico
I bought their next product An axisless grinder with a reverse c40 burr It produce great grind distribution with lesser effort then a c40 However It trap grinds just like the etzinger Which is not ideal as a single dose hand grinder
Sweet I was tempted to get one to try but was waiting to hear some feedback on it first. I was also hoping it is like a mini MC4. I wasn't sure if the double burrs would make it easier OR harder to hand grind! There's a very similar model coming out called Momentem I think, except you can adjust the TOP AND bottom burr I believe (not sure if that's really going to be necessary or beneficial, could just add another variable and make things more complicated or harder to use). Ah nice you ended up mentioning that too. It doesn't really look like this one is easier or faster than the 1zPresso K plus which I have, but also doesn't look like it's much worse.
This looks quite interesting, I am in the market for a hand grinder and wonder if a conical hand grinder would give me a similar taste profile to an electric powered conical grinder for espresso?
I think Lance Hendrick did a video and confirmed that hand grinding produced less fines because you're going so much slower, producing a more consistent cup. The trade off is literally the effort required to hand grind coffee
@@IMNOTABARISTA I checked it out. The product looks interesting. Your website's English does need editing. Feel free to message me. I could do it myself or offer suggestions for other professional services.
Within the price range for the pick, don't think any other brand in this price range of USD200 can bit the fun to use this double burrs grinder, Timemore, 1Zpresso and more, its time for those to think very hard to make a different, not just twist the tech, similar from the others, this is NO more easy money
Why bother as the 106 IS the most absolute perfect manual grinding beast ever made if you ask me... My only complaint (and minor at that) is it's a bit too compact as in not quite enough width for my hand to be comfortable, but nothing else can match it based on my heavy use...
@@BensCoffeeRants Momentum was originally working with this company and had some disagreements so they moved to a different manufacturer. Then this one took the design and ran with it.
You gotta go to the gym, Brian; I have no issue grinding very blonde with my Lido OG or Remi, and I’m hardly the biggest guy in the world. :) Great video as always, and an interesting grinder.
I thought Momentem was a copy of this, or they saw the design and made a quick version of it before yours was ready? That would suck. It does seem very similar.
hi, it is not copy of MOMENTEM, we first designed and made the dual Burr grinder, our dual Burr SD-1 came to market in November 2021, your company also bought our our dual Burr SD-1 sample.

Yes, slow feeding is working very well :) two-step grinding is very powerful
@@IMNOTABARISTA hey INAB, is there still a chance to secure super early bird pricing on the momentem?
I just like that it's made for left handers.
This might very well be the future of handgrinders, super cool
Glad someone actually knows Tigers content. Tried his beans before and it's pretty good!
Yeah he’s got done great stuff.
Wow this is such a good idea. Great vid.

Looking forward to a review of the Momentem Grinder when it becomes available.

Thank you for the amazing insight. How do I find the manufacturer?
anyone know what the left grinder behind him is?
Bonafabrica
MoonShine Do you found burr stuck when grinding medium roast more often than obsidian burr ?
Did it copy the momentem grinder or did the moment grinder copy it?

Hey, i am interested to buy this too. Is it worth it? Is the burr easy to clean and replace? 48mm same with kingrinder right?
@@gitasatriawangsa9472 not at all, the burr needs a wrench to unscrew. it is not a mature product.

It's possibly "more ergonomic" because when grinding you can rely more on your bicep more than your smaller muscles.
Looks like a k plus with a kinu-style hopper
hmmmm in the link it seems to be black? i really like the funky colored one. is that china only?

Would you review the new ghost teeth handgrinder named Potu?
Got a link to this or what should I search?
Righty loosey, lefty Tighty?! Damn reverse threads
Looks like the not yet released MOMENTUM dual burr grinder. It’s beautiful though $400 is too steep ☕️ for my blood!

I didn't find the grinder at aliexpress. Can you add a link, please? Thanks!

How would you compair the ease of use with the helor 106 ? 😊
I wonder how this compares to the Momentum from I'MNAB
hmm, makes me want to see if you can take off the bottom burr and attach it to a helor 106

It’s looks like a knock off of the Momentum grinder.
Edit: the sifter gives it away. The design was a rip off of Momentum by IAmnotabarista
That's what I was thinking too
I thought this was first and Momentem was the knock off, or Momentem is just taking longer to develop.
