with my suggestion for motorbike rental and go up to the mountain especially to PAI - Mea-hong-sorn route, scooter may easier for ride, it just speed up and run, in case you are going up the hill, the rode is up/down and curve, the scooter may can go up, but when you ruining down the hill you should using break for help you control the motorbike, it being dangerous when you carry too many stuff, or your bike run with heavy weigh, the break cannot help to control your scooter to much especially when it raining, this is notice, every time you rent a bike, please check out your break system at first, second check out the tire especially when the raining season. you can choose the small motorbike with gear transmission, such Honda wave, Yamaha spark or what ever gear transmission motorbike , it being help you when you ride down hill you can use engine break for help when when you run down the hill with the deep slope

Ahhh so much fun! Omg those sneaky checkpoints! That guy was trying to fist you its always 500 Baht not 1000! He's joking! Just remember your fine is only valid for 3 days so if you get pulled over again after 3 days you'll have to pay again! But i mean cmon in Australia if you were driving without a license your motorbike would be crushed lmao! I miss Chiang Mai so much! Have fun in the jungle guys!
great day trip. Chiang Mai still has a bit of charm, but it has really changed a lot over the years. It is sad that it is now impossible to go anywhere on a scooter without having to pay. think about if for a minute. You paid 300 for the scooter and 100 each to go to the park. But you paid 500 for the stop. Basically half of the cost was just to pay for that. Last year when I was there the scooter company explained to me I needed to have my rental agreement with me to present to the police, WHEN I get stopped. She even had a map showing the locations of the various checkpoints throughout the city and of course on the way to the temples, or hills. It is not possible to go anywhere with out getting stopped. Recently they changed the "rules" to require that you not only need a international license but one with a motorcycle endorsement.Actually not a bad idea considering all the people that get hurt or die each year because they have no experience riding. But don't worry that isn't a factor because they will find something. For example, passport, visa, hotel receipt, shoe size. They will get you for something. Oh and by the way the standard charge is 500 not 1000. So you go hoodwinked. Also with a bit of luck you can get it down to 200-300 in town. I love Thailand and have been there over 10 times. I will continue to go there to visit friends and de-jetlag. But you have to realize that it has changed a lot over the years. I enjoy your vlogs they are always refreshing and I get a hoot out of seeing your reactions to all the new experiences ect. Great editing and footage as well.
LOL, the kiddie helmet, over filled garbage truck, police corruption, and the adventures, its as if you didn't leave the Philippines. back here we sniff "vicks" or "sunflower" and the power-bank is really an essential.
Next time pay and get the ticket, that actually allows you to continue to ride your bike for 3 days without international license. It's an unspoken "temporary international license" for foreigner
Have you not thought, that if you have an accident, your insurance is invalid, not just for you but for the other party. It is not that much for an international license, £5,50 in the UK. ok paying half the fine, accident means prison.
I get what you’re saying. However, Insurance isn’t included with those rentals. So any accident or damage is on you and must be paid out of pocket. And it’s not about the money in acquiring an international license. It’s the process that makes it difficult when you are constantly moving locations.
Great video , thats a really good ride ,,,, lots of things to see and do along the way .... Just dont so it in rainy season ... Or smoke season ...

with my suggestion for motorbike rental and go up to the mountain especially to PAI - Mea-hong-sorn route,
scooter may easier for ride, it just speed up and run, in case you are going up the hill, the rode is up/down and curve,
the scooter may can go up, but when you ruining down the hill you should using break for help you control the motorbike, it being dangerous when you carry too many stuff, or your bike run with heavy weigh, the break cannot help to control your scooter to much especially when it raining,
this is notice, every time you rent a bike, please check out your break system at first, second check out the tire especially when the raining season.
you can choose the small motorbike with gear transmission, such Honda wave, Yamaha spark or what ever gear transmission motorbike , it being help you when you ride down hill you can use engine break for help when when you run down the hill with the deep slope

LOL, the kiddie helmet, over filled garbage truck, police corruption, and the adventures, its as if you didn't leave the Philippines. back here we sniff "vicks" or "sunflower" and the power-bank is really an essential.
Philippine mountain sceneries are more spectacular, just saying
Next time pay and get the ticket, that actually allows you to continue to ride your bike for 3 days without international license. It's an unspoken "temporary international license" for foreigner
คนไทย เรียกว่า ยาดม 😊😊😊😊😊
Have you not thought, that if you have an accident, your insurance is invalid, not just for you but for the other party. It is not that much for an international license, £5,50 in the UK. ok paying half the fine, accident means prison.
I get what you’re saying. However, Insurance isn’t included with those rentals. So any accident or damage is on you and must be paid out of pocket. And it’s not about the money in acquiring an international license. It’s the process that makes it difficult when you are constantly moving locations.
Even native people got fine too. I did one time pay 300 bath make me so angry. Police love to do that. It’s not legal but we can’t do anything
