    There is a story in every capture. Understanding how to tell that story is where the skill resides. Shoot often and shoot well my friends.

    Great lesson Pye. I recently purchased my first non-kit zoom (24-70) specifically to take wide, mediums, and tights at a relative's wedding. I applied these ideas to some photos from a hike that individually were mediocre. But as a set, they gave a much better feel for the uniqueness of the place and generated a solid response from friends and relatives. As an beginning photographer, I rarely get the perfect shot. This technique helps to bring back what I experienced in the moment. Thanks for providing the inspiration.

    The way you hold the cam with that monster 28-70...... That combo costs 30 times of my salary here in Sri Lanka.. Damn

    Thank you very much for this video. I have been working on storytelling and I can always use a different point of view and explanation.

    That was SUPER helpful. I always hear and read about these techniques for portraits and weddings, etc...but as a landscape photographer I'm always struggling to find that. I shoot more spontaneous and random. This is great!

    Being such a good photographer, with great ideas, great gear ..... and still using the lens hood the wrong way.... :D :D Really if you don't need it - why don't you just remove it?
    And thank you for all the valuable content.

    Can i ask, what is the difference between 28-70mm and 85mm and what's the best lens for shooting an event and portrait? Thank you,begginer photographer here✋

    • @otuke3897
      @otuke3897 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Event 24~70, 24~105, portrait 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, 70~200mm. Ur budget and purse will be a deciding factor here!

    • @eddieteabagify
      @eddieteabagify 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      85 has a much narrower field of view. Often used for portraits but not really works for wedding or event bc you would have to be a very far distance to get the whole room. Usually the 85mm will be 'faster' which means more open allowing you to shoot in darker scenes without changing camera settings for light sensitivity and introducing graininess to photos.

    why use lightroom vs photoshop?

    • @eddieteabagify
      @eddieteabagify 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Better for handling all photos at once when u want to apply the same changes. Manages your photos better too. Not as sophisticated as PS which i think people use when there is more heavy editing to be done on a photo.
