I hardly ever comment on the YT videos I watch but you have this timeless look that appeals so much to me. You don’t keep up with trends but stay true to your own style and I admire that about you so much. I’ve learned so much from you in the past year, thank you Sam.
Honestly one of the best videos I've watched on storytelling and a process that I feel would work for me!! Thank you so so much for this, massively helpful
Outstanding video. Extremely helpful, I learned a lot and will be using this! Also love how you mentioned that you can practice with anything you have at home.
I really loved that you tried a different approach and put a slideshow at the end. It summed up the entire shoot for me as a viewer and the images were spiffy af. I’m making a jump from Canon to Fuji very soon and was wondering how that GFX has been treating you now that you’ve had it for a bit. Still loving it??
Thank you for the great content! Where do you get images for your mood board, and what app are you using to construct/share it (and ultimately export to your phone)?
wow this video was so great, i genuinely took a lot from this. I too like to think even a little more deeply how the model, aesthetic and environment can manage to compliment each other. but i never thought to just use what is around me and base a shoot off of that. i reckong its one for the bucket list and im quite hype to do soon!
Love this topic and I can see it being a great area to grow. Can I ask if and how you incorporate video? And if so, does video and photography each have their own objective?
This was really helpful. Did you make a similar video where you and Allegra went to a boutique hotel and did something similar? Maybe I’m just imagining?
Hey Sam, love the videos. You're a huge inspiration. What monitor are you using to edit your photos? Been running into problems with my current monitor and I'm thinking about purchasing a new one. Any input would be great! Thanks.
Cool video Sam! I think most of us struggle with storytelling via photography, me too... I think the idea to make close ups and also shoot in different locations can help, cause than you can think that this person(model) was going somewhere on the bike all day long or something like that,no? I'm personally struggle the most for now with full body shots and close ups.. if you can give some tips about that it will help:)

I'm totally working on getting better on this. Thanks!!!
thank you very much. if possible kindly share more on how you know what story to tell? how do you zone in on a specific kind of story to tell?
Thanks for the shoutout :) Love your work!!
Just wanted to say, thanks to your advice and tutorials, I got my first paid gigs, you're an inspiration - I think it's that deep voice,

This was an awesome video! Well shot and I learned a lot. Looked forward to the next video on this kind of subject.
I've been trying this a lot recently. It keeps photography fun for me and helps me create a fuller body of work.

A few weeks ago he was all over the GFX100 and now it's Canon R5, it's hard to keep up!
Thank you for making this video!
Thanks for that. Definitely worth watching.
What lens do you use for your video? It has a very nice glow effect. Love it

I learned a lot today. Thanks Sam!
What program do you use to make a mood board?
Same question here!
Up!
Great website but the free version limits you to 5 Mood boards and 3 exports, the membership starts at $99 a month...
This is awesome dude, thank you! What software are you using to create those slick mood boards??
Absolutely love this! Thank you for sharing all the insight.

Awesome break down. Work from tight to wide is a key tip. Many times in a shoot so much is going on that I can forget that.
Cheers brother!

Definitely looking forward to more of these!!! Super helpful!!!
Great vid Sam! The filming was on point too! Is the new employee filming? ;)
Awesome as always. Hopefully you'll get a hand with the new iPhone 12 and test the photography side.
Nice work Samuel 👌🏾. Very informative and just downright cool.

What platform do you use to create your mood board?
Man that was such a helpful video. Thanks again ✌️
Great video Sam! I have a question regarding moodboard - which tool you're using to create moodboard?
Nice.co
That is a pretty wicked bike for sure. Good vid.
Hi, can you do a lightroom tutorial for your colours? :)
For me personally props are key for storytelling
This is so on time, bro!

What’s your favorite lens on your canon r camera
Why this video is unavailable?
Fuji X cameras have great film simulations. Why not use them
Because he uses multiple cameras probably. The Adobe profile keeps it consistent between different bodies (his canon and Fuji) I’m assuming
Does anyone know the mic he has in his desk?
Rode Podmic! I love it
@@SamuelElkinsPhoto thanks man!!
Anyone seen that southpark episode about "ADs evolving"......
Second
And this is narrative how?
I’m sure he meant descriptive 🤷🏽♂️. But it’s still a great video
