PitBoss 850 Competition Series Pellet Grill & Smoker. How to prime, do a burnoff and use the App

Just got a new PitBoss grill and smoker combo. Figured I'd show everyone how easy it is to get theirs ready to go. I would definitely recommend them. Easy and basically foolproof. Also remember to check out the South Park Humancentipad episode.

I just got a new PB 1150 and getting ready to do the burn off later today. I did read you are not supposed to start it up with the lid closed. There are videos out there of these exploding if you start that way. Something about smoke build up and then a sudden flash when it finally ignites can blow up your smoker. Just wanted to pass it on in case you haven't seen those videos.

Make sure you season it after the burn off. I gonna release a video of how to do that later this week.

I’ve looked on the Internet and have not found any help with this. How do you get the screen to display the p setting? I’ve looked in my manual searched online. I haven’t found any way to get the p setting to display.

I called them about this same issue and was told you only have to set it in extreme windy or cold conditions. Hence I've never changed it and it always holds temp.

I can't seem to get to S mode on pro 850 ps2 . S doesn't show up in the control display no matter how much i turn the dial. Anyone facing same issue.

I will never buy anything "assembled for free". You can never trust store employees to do a good job in an assembly.

I just bought the Pit Boss 850 Pro Series. How do you set or calibrate the meat temperature probe. Do you just plug it in or do you have to set your desired meat temperature.

Hey Bryan thanks for watching. You can click on the probe icon on the app and set the temp. Otherwise you just have to watch it manually on the grill.
