Saw this amazing show a few nights ago - 400 level, $400 -middle straight back from the stage, LOVED IT. Would sit there again. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. The sound was pristine.
Hey, you got a deal! We were in 304 also, bought them the second we could, and paid $325 each. Everything you said was spot on and I am still re-living the whole experience as we drive 2000 miles home. Great review, and I’m also glad to have the detailed info about sections 200 and 100.
I was there in the 21st, there's no Miningerle & every songs were sang live. we were almost in the front row there's no miming.its àn incredible show . ❤
@@nidaphillips6047 yeah it's not worth the battles with all these guys so I don't comment on much of them but I was there I did not think they lip syncing at all maybe one or two songs they were singing with some tracks but I recall one or two notes that I noticed Don missing on. It didn't bother me but I made a mental note of it that he might be starting to lose it. I would not have had that thought if they were Faking It
Went last weekend 12/6 - Absolute amazing show as you described. Sat in 100 section - Was able to see most of the screen, however I had a slighty obstructed view. I believe I was in row 15. Want to see them again before their residency ends. Will definitely sit a bit higher!! All in all, an absolutely incredible show. And more thing - With Christmas around the corner, the Eagles added 1 more song to end the show - I'll let you use your imagination to figure out which song that was! Thanks for the review - enjoyed it!
The first time I saw The Eagles in 1974 my ticket was $5. We went Sept. 28 and sat in the 406 section at the sphere and the seat was amazing! We could see the entire screen. The price was well worth the $400 (including fees taxes etc). Don Henley said it was their 4 night playing here then commented they spent all summer on the graphics so I’m sure that will improve as they play until January 2025. It’s like VR in over drive for your brain. Absolutely amazing and mind blowing! I HAVE TO GO AGAIN.
Thank you so much for this review…I’m the biggest Eagles fan ever and I thought the last time I saw them shortly after Glenn died would be my last…I was coerced into getting to tickets to the Sphere and I’ll be going in December!
@peterm4486 you won't regret it the music is still spot on and the sphere effects are unbelievable The Works of the bug outs with the monitoring system which seem to be causing some problems with timing on some of the songs
I love the 400 sections, I saw U2 4 times, 1 in the 100's 3 in the 400's. This is the first band to put seats in the front instead of a standing room section. I have tickets in the 406 this Saturday night and row 11 for Jan 24.
Awesome.. Ya.. I'd rather be back then too close and looking straight up the whole time. Thanks for listening.. Hope u consider subscribing 🤘🤘 enjoy the show
We had floor seats on opening weekend in September, because we wanted to experience the band at closer proximity. It's true that from the floor, we needed to do some neck craning to see the full graphics, but it didn't detract *at all*. Truly a magical show, deeply agree with Joe on how they related the Sphere experience to The Eagles music - it worked, it was mind blowing, and we're already considering going again to one of the newly-scheduled February shows. Also appreciate the 300/400 level tips - as a first-timer to the Sphere, it really was all about seeing the Eagles as a capstone to being lifetime fans, but great to know for future returns. Thanks!
In Oct of '19 I saw them in Vegas for the Hotel California tour and I liked the opening of their show better. They had an old man come across the stage setting the theme of Hotel California. They played all the songs from that album (10 songs), took a break and came back and sang 18 more songs! Best ever!
Went Friday night. Flew in from Wyoming, absolutely loved everything about the show! Agree with everything you said. Mind blown! Saw you many smiles when leaving. Didn’t want it to end!
i got a ticket for Dec 14th, 5th row. My pal said problems had problems vertigo at earlier show. Isn't that happen w the higher sections ? looks amazing
I saw the Eagles at the MGM 10 years ago, this is something else, I was on the 6th row, I paid a pretty penny, the best money spent. Great experience...
As a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast , my visual was on that dark desert highway on 2 wheels not 4. That visual strongly shocked me because 4 wheels never even crossed my mind.
Also, during~ “Back In The Fast Lane” - When the car was going through the city and slowed down, it felt like the car was going to crash.. 💥 I could feel that sensation! It was wild!! I really submerged myself into it .. I got some videos and pics too.. although I don’t have the best camera on this older iPhone model (11) .. I am upgrading and wish I had upgraded before this show. Nobody had a problem with me recording and taking pics during it? I probably should have put my camera down more but everyone around me was very kool!! You are very lucky to live in Vegas!! I can’t wait to go back to another show! Great review and yes, so true about Eagles. You described them perfectly. We had just went to another concert before Eagles here at the fair and it was perfect weather and sold out and we had great floor seats - to FOREIGNER! Now everyone was on their feet to that concert during almost all of it except some bc again, many older people, but it was a fantastic show as well. That’s what got my friend & I all revved up to go see The Eagles!! I was mesmerized to say the least. I had to put camera down to enjoy some of it. I loved “I can’t tell you why”, and One of These Nights, and yeah, Hotel California was wild what I saw.. tried to get to the bathroom real quick but missed the start which really bummed me out, but they had a video of some it.. (my friends) ~ I was hoping that was going to be like an encore song.. but nope. The water one was kool AF during “The Boys Of Summer”~ we felt a breeze and mist of water on us during that .. I thought I was imagining it but gal next to me said she felt it too… so they will more than likely add more effects as they go~ All in all, it was fantastic! Made me think of my older brother who loved the Eagles who’s no longer with us anymore ~ I felt I kinda went for him too. And Deacon Fry was pretty awesome as well! Loved Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Vince Gill and all of them!! ❤😎🤩❤😍❤😊
I agree. It felt as if the driver was braking when the car stopped a couple of times. I thought it was me--my friend couldn't feel it. Glad I'm not alone!
I saw them in Detroit last year and they were amazing. Far better than I expected. Put it in my Top 10 shows even though I am not a huge fan of the band. Being from Detroit and seeing over 300 concerts, that is saying something.
I see the show in a suite last night, and it was awesome, but I kept feeling guilty about not watching the band, lol. On the flip side, I said to my buddy that the middle of the upper bowl would be awesome for a band that had a really psychedelic screen experience. I’m a musician and an audiophile. The sound was pristine, and those guys voices are incredible still for how old they are now
Loved it! I went with my bestie, her daughter, and their seats were a couple few rows ahead of me. I tried to sit with them but it was sold out and had to go back to mine which I realized I liked my seat better!! I was on the floor level to the right of stage back far enough to have a perfect view of everything! I had goosies on everything!! I was in the bathroom and got back during the middle of Hotel California, so yeah I missed some. I love Tequila Sunrise!! I finally know now what a Tequila Sunrise is!! I loved Back In The Fast Lane! Many of us were standing towards the end .. so not sure what show you were at? I was there the 21st… so maybe you’re talking about the 20th? Amazing SHOW!!! I was totally blown away! I had to pay $590 for my ticket but so worth it! I probably would go again.. if I could find someone to go with again! Hahaha 😅
Ehh... It's tough.. Personally I'd rather be farther back to get the full scope of the screens.. On the floor u are looking straight up and behind u a lot... To me that's a annoying and painful lol I'd rather be in the 200- 300 sections.unless u really want to be close to the band.. That's the exception
Really, the Eagles will play the sphere like every other show (line up straight and play )as opposed to U2 who I am used to a physical show. The digital art show ought to serve them well. BTW Joe is the best reviewer for music I have come across.
I personally think it’s cruel to expect an 80 year old man to sing perfectly for hundred of days a year for fifty years straight. It’s down right evil. Especially a band that’s under contract from a record label that is globally known as a slave driver. We’re talking about humans not robots. Seeing Don Henley stand up live and open his mouth while holding a guitar or playing drums is good enough for me. I wouldn’t care if he was miming. It’s better than pressing play on my record player. I think we need to give these human beings some grace. Also, I saw them live last year at MSG in nyc; they spoke, sang and did not lip sync. I could hear some cracks in voices and seeing them was worth every penny. Eagles are still packing the house and won’t ever stop doing that. If it weren’t for the Eagles, the top selling rock bands of all times would be BRITISH. Show our legends that put their lives on hold to entertain us some grace.
@@MovementGraffiti It's not about an 80 year old man singing perfectly. It's about charging people an arm and a leg to watch him try to convince you he is singing.
@@MovementGraffiti I don’t think anyone is forcing the Eagles to perform at their age. I think they are set for life. It would be nice if they would disclose that they were doing some lip syncing if that is still the case. Glad to hear that they were not lip-syncing when you saw them live last year.
@@MovementGraffiti Linda Ronstadt can't sing Desperado anymore either, but she doesn't go around charging people a bunch of money to pretend she still can.
I want to watch this but have to wait till I go October 18th! I hope it’s a good review. I just saw the Eagles in January and they still rocked and the sphere is amazing so I’m guessing it is!
@@JoeInVegasReviewsfinally watched as I went last night. I was happy but I saw them in January and also in November 2021 and I was grateful I saw them before because this felt a little watered down to me if that makes sense. Don’t get me wrong. They sounded great, the Sphere did its thing, but it wasn’t like the first two times I saw them. Also, since it sounds like you haven’t seen them since Glenn died they did do a lot more tributes to him in the other shows as well as the other former members. They played a 4 minute opening video in January that was so well done and I’m happy I filmed it. Crying before the show began!
Unbelievable concert and atmosphere. Had floor seats and you can still enjoy screen and optics are Unbelievable.Floor seats were great if you want to be close to band. Looking back up at seats it goes forever. Hope more artists come to play in the sphere.
I see them tomorrow night, section 107 row 1. Cost $950 a ticket (Gold VIP package). I paid $325 a ticket for U2 on the floor and got front row back in January.
Outstanding review! I had so many similar feelings and reactions. The graphics made the songs more meaningful, with few everyone. And the band, though Sphere kind of makes them less than the focal point, was awesome and good natured about being "the house band".
I saw U2 on Dec 6. While it was an amazing show, the "energy" maybe was a little muted because everyone was looking at the sphere visuals and didn't quite get into the music as much. There were times that the crowd did stand up for certain songs though.
i find it funny how every single comment here that bashes it, says it's a "cover band", lip-syncing, overrated, etc., not ONE person starts by saying "I went and saw them at The Sphere, and I think...". Every person that went, says it was amazing. Why do people feel the need to sit at home and write negative comments to something they didn't experience? How bad is your life that you take enjoyment in that? I don't get it. I saw it. It was amazing. They definitely weren't lip-syncing. No, Glen Frey wasn't there. Yes, it was pricey. Yes, it was worth it to me, and everyone else I know that saw it. No, I didn't see them in '75. Joe Walsh looked and sounded like he was in the middle of having a stroke, but he was hysterical. To everyone who bashes a show that refuses to see it, well, great for you. But no one is lying about how fantastic the experience was. And you won't convince us otherwise.
Well, except for a couple of Joe Walsh extended solos, the music was pretty much note for note and the sound is so crystalline that you can appreciate that they are great musicians and I guess they have to time everything to match the visuals. At Sphere, I'll concede structure over improvisation for any band. Even the jam bands have to fit the framework.
1st sphere show, 1st eagle show, 3rd Las Vegas Show 2024 driving from Orange County, and most important 2nd honest review that i'm watchng from you and you nail it again. Agree with you on pretty much everything. Was also surprised that 1st song was pretty much the only song I wanted (and also Take it Easy) that huge hit first then told myself how stupid are you, you've been looking at LA County picturs for the last 30 minutes. Was 1st row of the first ''above' section (104) and love it so much. The Eagles were probably in my top 60 artists now this game changer venue just made them jump 15 or 20 positions. I would have love graphics though for Take it Easy, one of my favorite song and they want very classy for that one. 9.8/10
Visuals look impressive. One thing about something you said about Dead & Co: They didn't say it explicitly but they did musically acknowledge Jerry during the "Days Between" (the anniversary of his birth and the anniversary of his passing)
Saw them Saturday night. Not a huge Eagles fan--they're okay--but the visuals did blow me away (they were, I think, above Dead and Company but just below U2) and made me rethink some of the songs. Maybe the mountain visuals that were in several songs were a little same-y, but I love anything Vegas and Life In The Fast Lane was a ton of fun, the way Atomic City was very cool (cooler, actually) for U2. No need for me to see them again but it was a spectacular night because it was Sphere. (BTW, the next one is in the UAE; they announced it on the face of Sphere while we were up on the High Roller the night before. But I gotta think that's several years away.)
Just wondering if there are health warnings for people with migraine headaches, epilepsy, etc. I've seen warnings about strobe lights and other effects that might be an issue. I don't know if the shows at the sphere cause those issues.
@@shelleybirenbaum7466 I'm not sure I would call them directly but yeah I would think that's a tough place for someone who has those kinds of issues play there's a lot going on and it's all around you
@@mikeb2611 I'm loving these comments. I went to most of my concerts at 18-25 years old. The 70's, The Golden Age of Music. Living in New Haven, Ct. back then it was a hot bed for music. Biggest artists and bands now and even then passing through and tickets $20-$25 dollars...something like that. Clubs were packed...Saw Michael Bolotin for $2 when he was just coming up with Blackjack, J.E. Smith with the Scratch Band before he went to Hall& Oates..Top artists would stop in at Toads Place after their concert in the Coliseum. Stuff like that.Too many artists and stories to tell....Good Times. The Sphere was probably cool, but I got my " Ya-Ya's" out years ago for cheap.
@@mikeb2611 Well, I did sit outside the Yale Bowl on my bicycle and listen to the Eagles, Heart, and The Cars. I think Eddie Money was there too.....That was free...😂😂
They're singing along with a pre-recorded, pitch corrected vocal track, including backing vocals. You were hearing an audio track. It's been analyzed with waveform software. Do the research.
I love your reviews.. so down to earth and love your f bombs.. agree with everything you said.. I love the Eagles but I saw the Sphere experience in the summer and was blown away . Keep up the great work! Also agree that the visuals stick in your head. Thanks again!
Great detail in your review! Question on seating in the Sphere. My 96 year old dad will be going to see the Eagles with me (he loved seeing TSO and said rock music is okay when there's lots of action, LOL), but he can't do a lot of steps. All the handicap seats are in the 100's which isn't optimal for the Sphere. Do you have any suggestions for less steps in the 300 or 400's? Thanks much!
That's not true there are handicap seats in the 200 300 and 400 if you go on the sphere website you'll find a number to call about ADA seating I would call them and see what they have available they keep some to themselves and don't put it out for sale for people that contact them directly . If they don't have any for the night you want to go they will find you the best seats with the least amount of steps
@@JoeInVegasReviews Got it. I should have said the ones I saw available for sale online were all in the 100's. Thanks for the clarification. I will find the ADA # and give them a call.
@@ddilworth6506 They have special ADA elevators to help people with mobility issues go to their seats at all four levels. Also, they have wheelchairs and escorts available to assist your Dad, because to enter the Sphere is a very long walk in through the Venetian and down past their Ballroom/Convention area; at the point the Venetian meets the Sphere entry (walking blocks to get there and then more blocks to get to the actual venue entry/patron search). You should absolutely ask about the wheelchair service, which is free. They pick you up at the and of the concert and take you back to that same Entry spot. I have purchased seats in the 100 and 200 sections for the u2 shows and the movie; be aware that anyone with acrophobia (fear of heights) will have a hard time with the 300 and 400 sections, as it is REALLY high up at a very steep pitch and the stairs are not easy to navigate. Enjoy this special concert with your Dad!!
Did any of the graphics look like they were real objects in the venue? The stage does in the U2 movie, it's the trippiest thing, 3D without glasses, realistic 3D unlike with glasses.
Fyi, the opening graphics with the couple in black and white on the beach at the beginning of Boys of Summer… I’d swear that was from their original MTV video. So that’s why it didn’t come across as very exciting or high-tech but they succeeded in infusing that memory/nostalgia.

The Sphere has capacity for about 18,000 people and the Allegiant Stadium has a seating capacity of 65,000 (which can be expanded to 71,835 for special events). Mick is first and foremost a businessman.
I guess you could call them a cover band playing Eagles songs now days, excluding Don. Are there any Eagles left in the original band, meaning the guy's that wrote the original songs...Henley only ?
@@JoeInVegasReviews I'm just a few years younger than Joe and have been following him, buying the records and going to the concerts in all his iterations from the James Gang to Eagles. I have to say that the two performances that most blew me away of any live rock I've attended were courtesy of Joe and his backup band when he was a solo act. The loudest most dynamic rock guitar playing I've ever experienced. He is The Maestro of filthy rock guitar riffs and guaranteed to diminish your hearing. Don't know how he survived his insane lifestyle and his own massive sound.
Saw them in 1976 on the Hotel California tour (paid $8.50). Back then they were laid back as well when performing, all about harmonies and perfect musicianship. Even them being in their late 20s back then. Adding Joe Walsh juiced it up a bit. Never forget the great writing (Desperado) and, the storytelling lyrics were always spot on.
edited to add, just checked my package and it says 'Seats on the 100 level are guaranteed to be in the first 11 rows (rows 12-22)." So maybe I'm good/3rd row?
I looked it up and I think we’re good toward the front. Row 12 is the front row and row 15 is the 3rd so they should be pretty good seats. I think the overhang starts farther back
everyone saying Henley is lipsyncing...The videos I have seen he sounds like he has no teeth...you know the way people talk when they have no teeth? Thats how Henley sounds to me...I dont think its pre-recorded
I wouldn't argue with Wings of Pegasus's Fil for his analysis of earlier events, but I don't think there is any chance Henley was lipsynching the songs that he sang lead on in the Sphere concert that I saw on video. I thought he was in fact struggling to sing more than the others when they sang lead. Yeah, he was a little shaky, but still managed to bring across the beauty of the lead vocal parts and stayed on pitch. But --- not exactly what they'd be using as recorded tracks for him to lipsynch to.
@@TerrapinTravel916 they were beyond subtle. There was one song that showed a lot of old pictures of the band and had lots of pics of Jerry.. Once is a blue moon if u caught it you would see him floating in the graphics for a sec..a far cry from tribute.
@@JoeInVegasReviews no one said anything about a tribute. But there were far more Jerry references than that. There were animations, pictures, silhouettes of handprints and more. There were bits of Jerry sprinkled all through the visuals... The later shows had more than the early shows. i get it.. but thats the draw of the sphere.. its not for everyone, but its something pretty amazing and special and something you cant see anywhere else in the world. they played regular shows for 60 years.. this is a nice change for fans in my opinions.. a great celebration of their history. but i hear where you are coming from. thanks for listening.
Joe Walsh is a riot! Knows he's the class clown and has no problem with that. When they cut to him making a funny face during Tomothy B. Schmidt's turn to talk, I bust a gut. Plus--he's a fantastic guitarist, absolutely one of the best!
was in 101- great show. Had to cringe a little when Walsh sang-dude can still play guitar like a badass but wow the Coke Stroke! Vince Gill was great-just kinda blended in. Timothy can still hit the high notes really well. Deacon Fry is super solid. Great show i dont care about the supposed lip synching i was liquored up and feeling good and had a great time. The venue is insane! Definitely coming back!
Exactly. Who gives a shit have a bunch of drinks and just take it all in it's unbelievable. We kept cracking up every time Joe Walsh started talking he's become like a cartoon character of a burnt out lifelong Rock and roller and it's hilarious

Was there opening night on the floor stage left…and it was unbelievable!!!! The video for “In the City” was incredible!!!!
I agree after the hotel California Graphics that was the best one
Saw opening show , fantastic experience ! Blown Away !
Also, during~
“Back In The Fast Lane” - When the car was going through the city and slowed down, it felt like the car was going to crash..
One of the best shows I've ever been to, the Eagles kicked ass! and the Sphere was insane
Super review Joe, I almost feel like I was there. I said almost.

I see the show in a suite last night, and it was awesome, but I kept feeling guilty about not watching the band, lol. On the flip side, I said to my buddy that the middle of the upper bowl would be awesome for a band that had a really psychedelic screen experience. I’m a musician and an audiophile. The sound was pristine, and those guys voices are incredible still for how old they are now
No mention from them about Don Felder or Randy Meisner!! WTF?? Disrespectful... thanks for the great review, you're livin' the dream brother!

Great concert and loved seeing all the screens.
I saw them in Canada in 2013 with Glenn. That was a bucket list check for me.

Maybe the reason they want you to look at the sphere videos instead of the stage is so you can't tell they are lip-synching to pre-recorded vocals? 🙂
Your opinion on the floor seats?? Thanks
Ehh... It's tough.. Personally I'd rather be farther back to get the full scope of the screens.. On the floor u are looking straight up and behind u a lot... To me that's a annoying and painful lol I'd rather be in the 200- 300 sections.unless u really want to be close to the band.. That's the exception
Sphere is an experience
Let’s hope they got the backing track balance right. 🙄
Really, the Eagles will play the sphere like every other show (line up straight and play )as opposed to U2 who I am used to a physical show. The digital art show ought to serve them well.
BTW Joe is the best reviewer for music I have come across.
Lol thanks so much! I appreciate it!
Is Don Henley still lip syncing to pre-recorded vocal tracks? (as Fil from Wings of Pegasus proved a while ago in a YT video)
honestly, it did not sound like he was lip syncing to me at all.. but who knows. thanks for listening
@@thomasdube4245 thanks for listening I appreciate it
Hey great Review Spot on and you're right I don't think there's a bad seat in that house except for ones under the overhang
Jeffrey Lebowski gave the best Eagles review I have ever heard.
I saw U2 on Dec 6. While it was an amazing show, the "energy" maybe was a little muted because everyone was looking at the sphere visuals and didn't quite get into the music as much. There were times that the crowd did stand up for certain songs though.
U2 had about 30+ min mid show with no graphics at all.. I think that part killed the vibe a little.. People were excited with the graphics.
The Sphere is amaze-balls, I saw U2 and Dead & Company there and it was money well spent.
Agreed!
i find it funny how every single comment here that bashes it, says it's a "cover band", lip-syncing, overrated, etc., not ONE person starts by saying "I went and saw them at The Sphere, and I think...".
👏👏👏Couldn't have said it better myself. I agree 10000%

I was too , it was awesome
IT WAS AMAZING!

Take the elevator to where ever your seats are.
Yet one more of The Eagles' "last tour".
I'll stick to the smaller venues. I go to hear the music.

@@rj6342 thanks.. You can.. But it's very steep in the 200-400 levels.. Unless everyone is standing.. Ur prob going to be blocking the people behind u
That's not true about Dead & Co. There were nod's to Jerry throughout the graphics...
I made one show in each of June July and August, and was pleased to see Jerry represented in the ways they did. I'm sorry you missed it... No tribute, but paying respect to those that have gone on... Pigpen, Brent, Jerry and Vince.
This is Debbie again. I agree with some of your your points, but I think that the background was too much though the Eagles look like little bugs up there and all that busy stuff behind them and almost made you dizzy. I know I don’t agree with all of the Comments, I guess people like that I didn’t. I just want to see the Eagles play and be able to see them and not just look at everything look like it was all messed up and go to gloated they put on an excellent show no matter what no matter where they arebecause they’re pros. I guess I’m just getting old, but I didn’t go there to see a show. I went there to see the Eagles and that’s the way I feel about it.
i get it.. but thats the draw of the sphere.. its not for everyone, but its something pretty amazing and special and something you cant see anywhere else in the world. they played regular shows for 60 years.. this is a nice change for fans in my opinions.. a great celebration of their history. but i hear where you are coming from. thanks for listening.
I love Joe❤❤❤🎉❤🎉❤
Haha.. Thanks. I think? Lol
Joe Walsh is a riot! Knows he's the class clown and has no problem with that. When they cut to him making a funny face during Tomothy B. Schmidt's turn to talk, I bust a gut. Plus--he's a fantastic guitarist, absolutely one of the best!
If you fear high places get floor seats.
Thats for sure lol
was in 101- great show.
Thank You...got my tix
@@anthonygibson660 enjoy!!
I Googled "lip-synching" and ended up here.
Wow man thats trippy 🙏🏻
Who is the guy on the far right?
Deacon Frey. Glenn’s son brought in to try to legitimise the whole thing.
@thefonzkiss no not him, on the far right playing lead on a few songs, standing next to Joe.
Phil from wings of Pegasus has done an in-depth review of Don Henley's vocals over the past few years live in concert and its conclusive that he's using canned vocals and lip syncing. What did you notice.
@@sephdm I'm definitely not an expert but I honestly did not think that he sounded so amazing that it was lip sync
The visuals are almost too much.
