Good day Bob. We will see today how well this big sled pulls, I may need to add some weight to the rear lol. Thanks again...It should be a fun weekend for sure...Cheers.
@@cecilsshadetreegarage7408 ..my fat butt would hold it down just fine..lol. i destroyed the ski on my old single ski sled years ago and i rigged up a wider ski, using 2 narrow ones, welded together, worked great in deep snow...
Lol I think I may need to start eating more...Wait I just had Breakfast :-( Our own eggs, our own Bacon and sausage, even our own fried Potatoes...It was a very inexpensive meal lol....And I loved every bit of it haha. I have been collecting Alpine parts for the last few months just in case I need them. Thanks again..Cheers.
Wow ! You guys is the best take me alone for a ride or just let me visit I get excited when I see you guys, and the beautiful white snow bless you guys.
Good morning folks!!😀😀 That old Alpine really does a great job packing and breaking new trails. It will be interesting to see how well it pulls a load. Take care my friends!!😀😀 TTYL!!
Good morning Al. Yeah it seems to go through the snow well...I think I may have to get some stickers made that says "The Snowpiercer" From the movie that is lol. Yes I will be testing it behind the bob sleighs today..Thanks again..Cheers.
Great video Cecil and Heather. That old machine seems to be working fine i am sure you will get the small issue fixed soon. Nice to ride those machine in your winter wonderland ! Cheers, Jeff.
Hello Jeff. The old Alpine runs better every day we use it...Which is everyday by the way lol. This is my favorite pass time in the winter. Thanks again. Cheers.
I love these vids Cecil. You make me jealous and wish I was up north collecting wood by snowmachine. That Alpine machine is something special and hope it runs good and long for you. All the best and thanks for the video, it was enjoyable. Cheers
Thank you, I am glad you enjoy these types of videos. I think there is nothing better to do in the winter than out hauling logs with an old snowmobile. The old Alpine is still running great. Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers.
That machine looks like it will be a pulling beast. The snowmobile versioned a dually truck. Here in Missouri we have our farm trucks, you have your farm snowmobile. 😁 Cheers and God Bless from Missouri.
Good vid, looks like lots snow, wish I was up there, my sleds sitting on the trailer, we still waiting for enuf snow down here in the gta, was hoping to get north over the holidays but not happening, bummer you guys have fun stay warm post more vids appreciate them
Thank you very much. I am glad you are enjoying the videos. We are getting quite a pile of snow up here now...I am sorry you won't be able to make it up this way, maybe after the holidays? Thanks again, I am glad you are enjoying the videos. Cheers.
Aww I am sorry Ted, I don't mean anything by it....I am just telling my experiences. But I did test out the Alpine yesterday on a bob sleigh full of logs....It sucked bad, It pulls less than my 340 Polaris Indy Lite did. This Alpine just sits and spins :-( She's just too light on the tracks, The video will be up soon. Thanks again my friend. Cheers.
HAHAHA no worries, just havin some fun wit ya. Luv da channel 's'...I'm sure you will be able to make er work just fine. Take care, o the missus wants to know if you make a pepperoni meat vid?
It's all good Ted :-) I enjoy viewers like you who can joke and not take my videos so serious...As I do them mostly for fun. I am so glad you are enjoying the Channels so far. Please let her know we sure will. Thanks again. You have a great day..Cheers.
I am not sure how it will pull Frederick. I have had experience with a long track just sitting on a hard trail spinning. The larger the track ( foot print ) the less pounds per square inch applied to the ground, making the Alpine lighter than my Everest. Large tracks are designed to float, short tracks are better at pulling on a trail....The only thing that this Alpine has going for it is the low range, this may help it to take off without spinning. Cheers.
Hello Winston. The one reason I got this Alpine is it is way narrower than a VK540 or The Skandics. This Alpine is only 33 inches wide at the widest part, the VKs and Skandics are at least 46 inches on the skis, making them hard to get into the tight pines. Thanks again...Cheers.
Cecil! It looked like that sled was a little harder to steer. If so, is that because it only has one side. It ask about it having one skee before, hope you'll explain the reasoning for only one skee.
Hello. Yeah it s a little harder to steer in fresh snow, but now that the ski is clean and polished up and the fresh snow has settled it steers a lot better now... I will explain in a future video why the one ski and not two. Thanks again..Cheers.
Its been so long since I have rode a snowmachine but where were you when I needed you and mine just wouldn't start unless the engine was stone cold (I don't remember the name but then I have a clock that tells me what day of the week it is. It was six below here yesterday but 5:38 in the morning n its twenty eight above today with it being dec, seventh so I figure snow and if it is the turning off this computer till safe as I hit almost two hundred volts on the end of the line with the wires touching the trees. I just can't afford it, it even killed the coffee pot, and the hotplate convection the fan won't shut off. I like them cause they have a timer and no burnt food. See you tomorrow.
Hello Morgan. How are you today? Yeah older machines can have quirks sometimes. Sorry to hear about your power surges...I grew up in a house that was at the end of the power line run...It was bad when everyone shuts off things for bed, we got a power surge around that time. Thanks again...Cheers.
...good day bush bunnies, big work, big sled..have a great fun weekend....great vid.....Bob

Hello Estella. Thank you very much. If you were here we could ride all day long...It's great fun for sure. Cheers.
I love the custom seat looks like it fits your knee perfect!😀
Lol, Yeah I think the previous owner liked to ride with his knee on the seat as well.. Cheers.
Good to see that old sled breathing life again. I can’t believe we’re still without snow ❄️
Thanks... I sure am glad my buddy brought it to me... It can live again. We sure have a good start to our winters snow lol. Cheers.
Nice Alpine, i have one of these, a 82 model 640 rotax. Here in Norway we call them Bamse.
Good morning folks!!😀😀

Loved seeing that old whitey on the trail . Darn near looks like you could rent yourself out as a trail groomer .
Hello G. It is quite the sight to see the old sled doing it's thing. Lol. It sure pulls good in soft snow. Thanks again. Cheers.

Hello Ketch..The jury is still out on how this beast will pull lol. Thanks again...Cheers.
Reminds me of the better days, it was like I was there, could even feel the gas fumes burning my eyes!
You imagined it perfectly right, the burned two stroke fumes does get me a little on this machine as the exhaust comes out the front...Cheers.

Well I won't be commenting on that snowmobile cuz I don't want the wrath of I dunno what I'm talking about. But great vid and TFS!

Great stuff, but in my opinion the Alpine is the best of all your sleds, you know that.
