Bro, you need a Texas Blue Giant. I have the 3 Celeste fig trees, 2 years on ground, zone 8A, frustrated with it. It grows big, bushy and healthy, but don't fruit well. Lots of fruits that never mature and they're small. If they the fruits don't mature this year and give me something to eat, they will be removed in the winter. I'm done waiting. I have a Yellow Long Neck - prolific - and has grown very big, now the main trunk lays on the ground it is so big and thick. I chopped off the other branches but that one (hoping it will grow upright branches), but quickly grew new branches that grew fast but sideways again (I'm told figs don't grow upright). It survived the cold DFW weather. The only one I protected was the main thick trunk, not the new branches. I was surprised. Wish I new how to grow cuttings, so far I'm failing. Yellow Long Neck tastes like Caimito, mildly sweet but delicious.
Heck yeah man these are looking great. If you want to sell some, I'll gladly pay for overnight shipping to Dallas. And will be very understanding of damage etc etc PLEASE!!😁
You have said in other videos the pot size is 15 gal that you use. Is the top diameter of the pot 40 cms? I bet your family and friends love you when the figs are ripe. Great looking trees and crop. 👍
I am new to the fig world with 2 trees. I had now idea figs are an obsession. I will see how I do with my black jack and Chicago hardy for a year but I am already getting hooked, kind of like beekeeping. Good luck with your figs this season. Where are you located?
Location? How often are you watering? How long are you watering? I'm in St George Utah & its over 104° most days. My Figs in pots are all stressed out. Leaves look all dried, but soil is moist.
I’m in Cincinnati so we don’t get the 100 degree temps usually, thankfully! I tend to water once a day but have been doing twice this last week. I water until full saturation- runoff
As always, great looking trees. I really need to get the bags because the birds are getting them , even before ripening
@@lukeott58 thanks! Yeah bags are a must or the birds beat me to them!

One of those Angelito figs looks like a ♥️
I had to go back and watch the video but now I see it! Will see if that goes away when swelling
@@figtreegrower3152 Del Cor is supposed to have heart shaped figs. Be cool to see that as well!
Fig trees looking great.
I’m hoping for a great harvest!!!
Amazing fruit set Travis! 👍
Thanks Dean! You are probably harvesting main crop now with your head start. Hopefully you were able to ripen some in that heat dome the last few days
Yes, I'm getting quite a few early main crop these days.

My 15 gallons are 18 inches in diameter at the top so slightly above 40cm I think.

Very much an obsession. I’m in Cincinnati
Northwest NJ here, pretty much the same weather. I put the Chicago hardy in the ground and will keep the black jack potted for now.
Looking great! I’m wanting to use the organza bags and notice a few in your video. What size bags are you using?
I like the 3 by 5 inch ones. 4 by 6 work but are a little large for my liking
@@figtreegrower3152 thank you, and I really appreciate the help.

@@figtreegrower3152 You water twice a day?
What soil media do you use?
Yeah twice a day, I have been using ocean forest potting mix this year
@@figtreegrower3152 OK, thanks. I'm using Fox Farm Happy Frog. Seems moist after two days at least 6 inches deep.
But maybe I need to water more???
I would water more if your leaves are showing the symptoms you are saying. I prefer overwatering than under watering for my trees.
How old are the two CLBC
I have one clbc and one de la roca. Clbc is 2 1/2 years old. De la roca in its 2nd season.
