I’m 23, never had issues, but recently I’ve been stretching my ankle a lot to get a better squat. As I stretched I always felt something in the way but it never hurt a lot. Then I went on a 15 mile uphill hike and sprinted part of it, that flared up much pain as I had to walk the last 8 in that agonizing pain. It’s been a week and I want to heal this naturally. Do I have hope? I’m using bands to pull my tibula back as I stretch forward, In hopes of clearing more room. Also massaging. Anything else I can do?
Is this hard to diagnose? It seems super obvious to me that I have this from a hyper-dorsiflexion injury months ago but the doctors are acting like I'm crazy
well first, sports hernia should not be used as a term, as it is misleading, it is recommended to use athlegic pubalgia as the broad term. but it is a good topic, thanks, i put it on my list.
to be honest, I don't know. probably not because of potential damage to the capsule, the cases I know intraarticularly, they did surgery/curretage i believe
my ankle was sprained nearly 3 years ago , it was so sore I had an x-ray and ct scan and sent to Physiotherapy, Its still sore today the same as it always has been since it happened , I have built up the supporting muscles etc , but the pain remains , sharp lightning jolts and aches was told it was synus tarsi syndrome but no MRI or game plan on how to recover , its disabled me and at present if I cant get some answers on what I should do to get it sorted I'm worried ill never recover .. whats should I do ?

There is some evidence that arthritis can be reversed. Reversability of osteoarthritis: a review 1983. My plantar fasciitis and spine pain both reversed with outdoor activities
So how do you get rid of impingement?
