You're a lifesaver! We used the thin jack handle on my sons car to pop the lock on the seat, he was in there trying to get his hands through and it wasn't working out well. So I found the ridiculously thin jack handle that has a few bends in it and used that as a lever to pop it.
This totally worked! I was able to help my cleaning lady get back into her car after locking her keys in the trunk. Thanks!

did this on my 2019 corolla today bc i locked my keys in the trunk, there’s a plastic cover over it i had to unscrew but overall it was pretty easy and saved me from getting a locksmith :))
You saved my butt with this one! (But also the fact that I could do this in like 2 minutes with a stick is concerning)
Worked!! Definitely really hard to get hand in and at the right angle. You would have to have your palm facing the front of the car which is difficult. I ended up using a crow bar with the right angle forked hook. Wedged it through and then turned it just under the knob latch and pushed up and it popped open. Had someone guiding me up top to help. There are two slide switches on the back of the seats you will see when you go in the trunk, leave those in the unlocked position as those will lock the knob latches so you can’t pull them up.Thanks for the video.

I didn't get in had to go home to get the spare after building maintenance didn't have copy of my house key to get the spare after they had to puts new key cylinder and then I went back to work to get in my car with the spare key fob for my camry

Just had my keys locked in at the jobsite n i was able to get them out!!
It worked and when he said not easy definitely not. After trail and error finally got it. I had to have my son push seat with feet to get hand in and then struggle to get knob up which didn't pull up as easy as it did in this video. Once I was able to get so much of it up, I then had son to kick seat for leverage to unlock. Would i do it again no because I won't them in car anymore. 😂😂😂 Now I gotta go ice hand, but at least I didn't have to dish out money to locksmith.

Dude it worked but I had to drill a hole in mine but I didn’t know how else I was gonna get them because pushing down the lock cylinder thing does not work in my 2013 Toyota Camry I just 2 inches to the front and two to thedoor frame and I put a drill up in there drilled the hole push my screwdriver up in there fucking open the right up thank you very much

great hack bro, saved a lot of hassle and prob some cash too. Once in trunk i used the long handle from my jack to stick up at angle and push seat button up. i couldn't get my hand to flex towards the front of the car like you did. I tried with my hand for 30 minutes before i tried it and got it within 10 seconds of doing it that way.
I tried for about two seconds with my hand!!! The tire wrench works perfect.

I was about to ask this question as well. My 2012 won't open since there is no battery in it and I can't open it to replace the battery. The key won't work manually either.

This requires way too much force or something. Got the rubber plug off but sat out here for hours poking at the floor. Was watching some other video of a Russian guy going at it and he went in on an angle - tried that too, and nothing works. Am I really that fucking stupid ? Can’t be the only unsuccessful one here.
Me too. Had to resort to calling a lock smith in the end. Unfortunately I couldn’t even tell if I was making any progress because there was a damn receipt covering both the latches…

@@fixinit Thanks I will. The power is on and the hybrid engine occasionally starts up then turns off, so the battery seems good: key fob lights up when the buttons are pushed and the dashboard is lit up, but no response from any button on remote. And the embedded physical key won't work either.
