I love these old videos, I wish the 4WD 24/7 crew would do more touring videos, I'm getting bored with the "tough tracks" stuff and breaking cars that they've been doing lately.
Same here. Their mud bogging episodes, are all starting to meld together. It's so difficult to distinguish one from the other. Plus these old episodes were more about the journey, than product placement or stealth advertising. Having said that, Hema is smack bang in the centre of this episode. 😁🤣
@Craig Well said Craig. I too used to get inspired by their road trips. I even took notes of location info and insights they have shared, and hoping that I too can go to these places one day. Revving the guts out of the engine, and damaging my pride and joy is not a goal I aspire to. Considering the amount of hard-earned money I've spent on it, no siree.
Enjoyed watching this episode. It was all about exploring. As opposed to the current crop of 4WD 24/7 episodes of, who can have the highest wheel lifts, drive through the deepest bog hole, or which 4WD gets panel damage. This is old school 4WD exploring. It's also a refreshing change not to see blatant product promotion throughout the episode. Well not in your face anyway. Just more subtle product placements. 👍
With Graham referring to a "DVD", shows how old this episode is. 😁😁 This episode, old it might be, it still looks fresh, and I like how it's more focused on the journey. And the stealth marketing, and product placement is more subtle, compared to the new episodes from 4WD 24/7 now, which are smack bang in your face. It amazes me that the vehicles used here are still pretty much the same vehicles we drive today. You can't beat a good 4WD for longevity.
Is it me or should graham have used his lockers a lot more often? Seems the Patrol only ever digged down when it was flexing up on the unweighted wheel.
@Simon Franklin same here , I noticed it as well , when one video comes out of one place then alot of others just follow the same route , This happened recently with Cape York

Totally agree, i think the content is losing direction. Really looking forward to Graham’s new travels.
That's why they got Graham doing the touring videos now
