One word RUSSIAN... Just look up Eugene Kaspersky... That dude was educated at an KGB sponsored tech college. I wouldn't trust anything coming out of that tyrannical ruled piece of poop country... Seriously F' Kaspersky and their entire team...

I’ve used Kaspersky for 15+ years…. tried others like Norton, BitDefender, GData, F-Secure… and always go back to Kaspersky.. even post-Ukraine War and despite US Gov sanction. If Putin wants to play on my Star Trek Online or Mechwarrior Online account, that’s ok.

I've used it for 10+ years but this latest UI stinks. I was forced to download the new Standard (internet security) because Safe Money stopped working. Everything is huge instead of streamlined. I don't like CLEAN & SPEED UP are packaged with Antivirus. I just want virus/malware protection.

I have been using Bit Defeender since 2006. Never a problem or a virus! Still using today! I have been an IT professional since 2002 and started with Norton and switched to kaspersky. Switched to Bit Defender because i don't support Russian companies.

Norton pricing isn't low. Even the first year deal puts it as the most expensive and after that it's nearly double.

Just if anyone reads this. The best choice both economically and effectively is to choose Bitdefender and Kaspersky. Rest (except eset) don't have any properly working behavioral guard except maybe if you put all of their security standards to the strictest, which will result in lots of false-positives anyways.

The pricing alone is disingenuous for a few of these. That first year pricing but may boost up significantly easily knocks it down a rung or two.

Norton scoring 20 instead of 14 for the one section in performance should have dropped the score to 5.5 at best. You docked BitDefender for missing 1 thing in usability.

i used to use Norton but now i am using avg internet security
its surprising that you did not even include avg or avast.
I have used bitdefender as well although my personal experience with it was horrific. ram usage high(over 400 mb most of the time), definition update used to get stuck occasionally, fast battery drain etc.

I have not even watched the video yet and I can already guess whats going to happen. Looks at the garbage that is AVTest for metrics. Performs zero testing. Recommends the one that gave a better discount code. I shall edit this comment with if I was right or wrong.
Edit: As expected I was 100% right

    norton is the best.
It performs incredibly well on my win 11 lappy which has core i3 11 gen processor and 8 gb of ram
Ram usage is on the higher side and occasionally reaches over 400 mb but the ram usage reduces significantly when more programs are open on my lappy.
i use the basic plan which is quite affordable
