What Foz said is just so true. I was a Goalie from age 7-13 and stopped after getting bullied and having major back and hip issues. In my experience as a goalie the GK is the most important player on the pitch. The GK is 90% of the time the team leader barking at everyone not just the defence and praising as much as possible. Also what he said about getting confidence, a GK never has good confidence starting a game so it rlly is crucial the first time you have a chance to get a hand on that ball you need to do it. It will change your game either for the best or worst. This chat is so true and gets me smiling as I'm nodding along agreeing with all of it
In continuation of this, I was in NO WAY a good footballer. I was awful with the ball however with the diving, reflexes and everything to do with the actual saves i was rlly good at but its just a shame I decided to call it a day as I've never been near that good ever since but I do feel it was the right decision.
