To me the structural stuff IS the fun stuff. So cool to see this coming together. I haven't seen this movie in a few years but I watched it a ton when I was little, and there are so many floor and wall design details I never noticed or thought much about until you make them in miniature.
It is hard to take in all the details from this house and the movie! Especially since it doesn't always fit together in the real world lol! I am so glad you enjoy these parts along with the more fun and flashy miniatures. The foundation is super important to any project!😊 Thank you!

It is here! Beetlegust is upon us and the fun can begin. It is not good to put ALL my faith in the Captains Quarters. Also it will be FINISHED eventually so it is important to get exited for new projects. Which I am! 😀 Stormy is back to work I see, and yet she ovelooked the fact about the window. I guess it is hard to remember everything the first week after vacation time eh? 😉Anyway, putting her in charge of the windows is a good idea, splitting the workload always helps. 😛 With all the walls in place for the first floor the house is finally beginning to take shape and all that planning begins to bear fruit. Looking forward to how this will develope during this important months videos. Good job!

A flex curve is a handy tool. I have had mine since my days as a band director. I used it to design my band's corp style curvilinear marching band drills. I love Beetlegust!!!

one thing to pay attention is the translucency of PLA printed parts, especially doors in lit models. I noticed different brands of plain white PLA having different opacity. Unless additionally coated, consider increasing infill or number of top/bottom layers to avoid unnecessary light spill.

I love that you are using 3D printed parts in the house, I love my 3D FDM printer and use it quite a bit, but sometimes worry that my projects are not all hand made, but I get over that pretty quickly as I still need to design the parts to print 😂
I know that feeling! But I have decided that I would rather spend my time making original hand crafted miniature of the one-of-a-kind things and leave the MANY duplicate doors and windows to the printer lol! That's how I look at it. And you are right that the design part still makes it original art in my opinion!
I have been saving this episode for my long drive recovery time always sleep for 12 hours after I get home and then lay in bed watching TH-cam 😹😹 It’s not boring at all, specially as you had a few woopsies I missed something again 😹😹, it’s so funny I lay here in bed buried in cats, watching trying to get your attention on the window grid telling you stop stop you need to paint it first😹😹😹 the cats giving me funny looks 😹😹why on earth do we think that calling out to you in the screen your going to hear any of us😹😹😹but I’m sure I’m not the only one who was trying to get your attention at the input of the plastic grid going in😹😹 The house is coming along nicely I just was not expecting the stairs to be so steep 😹😹 looking forward to the next episode 🤗🤗🤗

Since I think you indicated interest in the past, I thought it might be worth be worth mentioning that there's a very big miniatures painting convention in Denton (ReaperCon, which is at Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center), Thursday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. Lots of painting and sculpting classes plus a miniatures painting contest that's one of the best in the world. Plus an interesting vendor area. If you do go, I'd recommend talking to the people sitting on Artists' Row. They're the people teaching multiple classes and they're pretty much all really nice folks.
I have heard of ReaperCon before and I would love to go some year! I just need to get it on my radar earlier in the year so I can make sure to block out time for it. Thanks for the reminder!

I love that you are using 3D printed parts in the house, I love my 3D FDM printer and use it quite a bit, but sometimes worry that my projects are not all hand made, but I get over that pretty quickly as I still need to design the parts to print 😂
I know that feeling! But I have decided that I would rather spend my time making original hand crafted miniature of the one-of-a-kind things and leave the MANY duplicate doors and windows to the printer lol! That's how I look at it. And you are right that the design part still makes it original art in my opinion!

Since I think you indicated interest in the past, I thought it might be worth be worth mentioning that there's a very big miniatures painting convention in Denton (ReaperCon, which is at Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center), Thursday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. Lots of painting and sculpting classes plus a miniatures painting contest that's one of the best in the world. Plus an interesting vendor area.
If you do go, I'd recommend talking to the people sitting on Artists' Row. They're the people teaching multiple classes and they're pretty much all really nice folks.
I have heard of ReaperCon before and I would love to go some year! I just need to get it on my radar earlier in the year so I can make sure to block out time for it. Thanks for the reminder!
