      I guess easy to take care of is somewhat reasonable with like a conure, a cockatiel, a budgie, but I cannot imagine telling someone a ringneck, a macaw, an african grey, anything like that is easy to take care of, because they aren’t

      @@WormHome i own an african grey and he is incredibly easy to take care of instead of walking a dog 24/7

    It looked like the golden conures she was holding at the beginning have vitamin deficiencies, their feathers are so dark

      @THEE.apples 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's nothing wrong with their feathers other than that they're clipped.
      Those are babies they are not as bright as the adults and still have a lot of green.

      they’re just really really young, they look fine to me as parrots without their adult feathers yet

    I dont agree toucans should be pets, there just isn't enough information on them, and any that is found is 40 years out of date.

      I saw a video of a tucan that lost his tongue due to diabetes. Tucans are really for experienced owners, but it's so hard to find a vet that can provide medical care for them.

      @@bluefeathers142 even smaller birds can be a challenge. We lost our conure on Christmas eve. An hour before we found him he was playing and singing, then we found him on the bottom of his cage... We still rack our brains about it. Was it a stroke, hyperthermia, did he choke? We are so careful with our birds... My husband is still grieving. That bird was his best friend.

    Ok first off idk if there multiple locations but the one near me literally abuses there birds wile grooming, they also aren’t properly taking care of those toucans those bowls are so small toucans need bowls as big as there beak or they will die of dehydration the employees are also super rude

      The problem with Omar's is you could start a rescue with all the birds you see needing re homing on craigslist bought from Omar's. His ex wife is super cool though he really messed that up for him. She should have gotten Apollo.

    Birds are super awesome. IF your willing to care for them properly. They are expensive to feed and make alot of mess. I have Amazon's and I wouldn't sell them for any amount of money. They become part of the family. One thing I recommend is try looking for a place that rescues birds . Some people see a beautiful bird and buy one without doing research. They live a long time. If all goes like it should my birds will outlive me. There are plenty of birds that need a home that are stuck in a cage with nobody to love them. So think about it for a while before you bring one into your family.

    Y’all’s don’t be so dramatic she has experience with birds that why she’s saying it’s easy to take care of and obviously if u know the longer the life span and bigger the bird the more harder it is to take care of but don’t be dramatic

    Toucans dont like that long in captivity… thats their wild lifespan and even with the best captive diet available they are unlikely to like longer than 12 yrs

Some birds even encourage it. Most of these parrots are babies as well, and therefore have not even gone through puberty yet. Stop dog whistling

      @alternate5297 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sam-co1oo I would also like to add on that handling birds in this way from a young age desensitizes them and helps prevent to any future issues (like arousal while playing, cage/personal space aggression) as well. It helps prepare them for harness training too. It should be encouraged in most baby parrots to create a well rounded adult non-breeder parrot.
