In this video, LoreKeeper explains the true connection between Toby Fox's two games: Undertale and Deltarune. Despite the fact that both Undertale and Deltarune exist in different universes, there are small details and connections that could indicate a global story encompassing both games. As many people suspect, this connection might be based on the song 'Don't Forget' from the credits of Chapter 1 of Deltarune, as well as characters like Sans and the former royal scientist W.D. Gaster. However, this isn't entirely true. Since the song 'Don't Forget' is present throughout Deltarune, it might even be more significant than the references to Gaster.

Important to note that, on the nintendo switch version, Clam Girl turns greyscale like a goner and tells us "the time to meet suzy is fast approaching."
The switch version released about a month before chapter 1.

My theory is Dess is singing a song to Noelle from the void hence quotes like "That's still shining in the cold" and "Don't forget, I'm with you in the dark" meaning even though she is missing, gone, kidnapped or whatever happened, she is still there for Noelle. And to add on Onion says that they hear music underwater. I think that bunker in hometown most likely leads to the void underground or even a darkworld, under the water perhaps? But in that bunker is most likely the void that Dess is singing in and still having faith in Noelle hence the quote "Don't Forget I'm with you in the dark."
I know this isn't about what don't forget means but I just wanted to say that.

I think the true connection between Undertale and Deltarune is the Soul itself the player played Undertale first which is why we can say great to see you again too Sans among other stuff!!! most people who play Deltarune have played Undertale me include.

Sans also hints at this in other conversations and interactions too. For example when he's trying to convince the player to settle down in the underground and abandon the goal of trying to go home, or during the final battle where you have to use the SAVE power on each character. Sans clearly hasn't forgotten, but he has given up.

And they’re not even said by the same character- the former is said by the riverman

The "speaks in hands" one is just more commonly mentioned
since it's much weirder and could be connected to Gaster.
Just for the sake of reference/accuracy, here's what the Shopkeeper says about them:
_"And if you're bored, you can sit outside and watch those wacky skeletons do their thing._
_There's two of 'em... Brothers, I think. They just showed up one day and..._
_... asserted themselves._
_The town has gotten a lot more interesting since then."_

Im almost certain that in the end DR will end up destroyed. Sans and papyrus will end up in UT and Frisk will be revealed to be the DR vessel who later became their own person by the end of UT

I think the discarded vessel will end up being the Knight, mainly because of being able to use knives (which is connected to humans) and serving as a rival to Kris (for both being knights and being controlled by a superior being).
I think Frisk is a vessel created by Gaster for Chara.

All I know is that Everyman exists in the True Lab and in Dark Worlds and he's refered to as "strangeman" in Undertale so.
I don't think we know what Everyman is yet
everyman also appears in the light world, it is draw in the wall in that room with flowers in trash cans

Sans is likely from Deltarune, and somehow ends up in Undertale due to a certain experiment going wrong.

I've always thought that it's weird to listen the freedom motif so much in chapter 1 compared to chapter 2. One might think that it would be way more present in the whole game counting on its importance and connection to UNDERTALE 🤔

People seem to overlook the line
"And the places that you know seem like fantasy".
Most assume the lyric is referring to the fantasy elements of the Dark World.
However, the first time you play, you are driven around town and if you played Undertale your initial thoughts are "Wait, Toriel? Who is Kris? Asgore?? Our brother ASRIEL?? Undyne is a cop? Is that freaking SANS????"
You can't help but get drawn to these things that are familiar. The fantasy is seeing this world and these characters again, even if it technically is a different world.
This is a game for people who have completed Undertale, and depending on your route that can mean one of two things. Either the "promise in our hearts" is with Asriel/Flowey, or Chara.
This world is a fantasy in a meta sense. Everything feels off because it seems too ideal. I believe Chara still wants to "destroy this world and move on to the next" and it'll happen regardless of our choices.

I still have this crackpot theory that the bunker is going to be the last Dark Fountain, and that its darkworld will be eerily similar to Undertale. A run down bunker with leaky pipes, a meat freezer & a boiler room, would have all the requirements necessary to replicate 80% of Undertale's underground. The Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland(+Core).
Its a wild shot in the dark but shouldn't be discounted.

Why would I want to pad out the video's run time? It's double the amount I need to fully monetize it and most people are going to skip that part, which isn't good for the retention.
Maybe I REALLY just want to have well presented examples of what I'm talking about just in case anyone doesn't know them...
@@LoreKeeperVG Then it would be better if the title/thumbnail reflected that. I'm not trying to be a hater, I'm trying to give genuine constructive critisism. This video was more about which songs the Don't Forget leitmotif appears in than it was anything else. It feels disingenuous to say to just skip it when there is no note in the actual video to tell you where to skip to. A little message with a time stamp would have helped.

You know whats intresting is that in Raining somewhere else there might be a small part of the don’t forget melody that plays around 1:49 (the part of the song that sings the line don’t forget) … i’m not really sure if this is intentional though (all though it does make sense since the song plays in the secret room)

If sans came from deltarune, why would he say "Considering I've never met you before" while winking, I don't think it logically adds up. Unless Deltarune comes after Undertale (btw, I just finished all 3 games, so my lore understanding might not be the best)

I'm telling y'all right now, what Toby Fox said way back when chapter 1 released (or right before? doesn't matter) still stands. Undertale and Deltarune are independent of one another. Sure, there might be some coincidences and similarities (ie: River Person dialogue, Entry 17, etc.), but Toby already told us that these games are meant to be independent stories. Just something to keep in mind when theory crafting, people.
PS: If I can find where Toby Fox said the above again, I'll post a link in this comment. If I don't do it within an hour of this post, assume I gave up.
Update: I didn't find a link to where ever Toby said this, but I found a website that had the quoted text. It goes as follows:

I will say that basically, what you're seeing here is not the world of UNDERTALE.
UNDERTALE's world and ending are the same as however you left them.
If everyone was happy in your ending, the people in the UNDERTALE world will still be happy.
So, please don't worry about those characters, and that world. It will remain untouched.
To rephrase that, DELTARUNE's world is a different one.
With different characters, that have lived different lives.
A whole new story will happen...

It's just a game you can play after you complete UNDERTALE, if you want to.
