I’m a happy owner of a ‘90 S2 Cabriolet….as I live in western Massachusetts, mine is stored 5 months of the year. I am going to look this spring, and see if mine has those clips….and if they are brittle. Nice job, young man….and I’m in my late 60s. This car was a gift to me almost 20 years ago, when I turned 50 the year I made O6 (Captain) in the Navy. I don’t know you, of course, but I’m proud of you….tackling all that you do to keep your 944 on the road….it’s commendable!
i owned a pretty rare version of the 944, a 944 II with the 2.7 Liter engine, cat and 163HP, sold this in 1997 for a 944 Turbo followed by a (now super rare) 968 CS in black, great cars, great times.....
We use a paintless dent removal guy at our shops. You should contact one in your region and check out his work, they can often get it close to flawless if they're good.
I have the same model year but in Metallic Graphite. I see you have Pennsylvania plates. Do the cops bust your nuggets about the tint? I took mine off years ago because no one in my city would inspect it with it on. IIRC, they said it had to be 70% transmission and also had to be labeled with some ID number. Mine looked like it may have been a little darker than 70%. Was a shame because it was done in Florida by the previous owner and was a really good job on the rear hatch. Are things a little more lax now? If so, I may have some installed again. BTW, I spotted your vid when I was searching for info on replacing a window motor. Had to laugh when I saw that your vid was about the clip replacement because mine just broke last week and my clips should be arriving today.
Rennbay makes some useful stuff at fair prices. I’ve installed their ball joint boots, fuel lines, and power steering pump seal kits, all great products. 👍🏼
Would like to know how the coil over suspension on the 944 went. I have a 100 % original (56k miles, every single receipt since day 1 and the suspension is getting bit tired of course. Car is pristine. How to reach out?
Go to the Porsche Swap Meet in Carlisle, PA. Used to be in Hershey. Sponsored by the Central PA PCA. Usually the third Saturday in April every year. They have a "For Sale" corral with around 10-15 944's for sale.

Mine won’t start, any tips?
grab a new battery from your local auto parts supplier
I would love to get my 83 944 wrapped but I'm afraid it would cost more than the car itself
There's a good chance of that. The reason for doing it depends on your reason for owning it.
@@BlackoutTinting understandable, well im only 20mins from Latrobe. I might stop by sometime for a quote. Thanks!
