- So, this Mother's Day, we've got some real talk lined up. Motherhood presents its challenges, and lacking a strong support system only adds to its difficulty. We've reached out to several mothers from our Facebook community to talk about the challenges and see how well-supported they are in their motherhood journey.
When reflecting on the impact of support on their journeys, Dr. Chickie Catubig-Lebrillo expressed gratitude towards her colleagues and patients for their acceptance while she pumped in their presence, free from judgment. Anna stressed the crucial role of family support in finding a balance between work and motherhood. Cecilia got all the feels remembering the day she brought her little one into the world, with her pros and her partner right there holding it down. It's moments like these that make it all worthwhile.
Is being a mom hard? From surviving on three-hour naps to clean up the house after a long day's grind, or wrestling with pumping schedules, moms all agree: it's tough. But hey, they also say it's totally worth it in the end. A mom's love knows no bounds, and we're hoping for more moments of joy, support, and affirmation in every mother's journey, alongside a decrease in feelings of depression, judgment, self-guilt, and discrimination.
