@@dadsfreetimeclassicgaming1220 i share your wistful naïveté! two problems: (1) these days you can get attacked online if you say something absolutely clearly true. there is so much anger out there now a desire to fight drives this process, as never before. (2) we can’t derive falsity from an ensuing argument; people can argue in good faith about anything worth discussing. beyond true and false there is the more interesting world of things “worth discussing” without conclusive right/wrong. hence ethics, etc. but i like how you approached this, it’s hopeful in its way.

I can do both carve around the ball and pronate on slice. Carving around the ball gives a lot more slice and crazy angles on the slice but takes away pace. Pronation slice gives more pace and less slice. Both can be used to increase variety. Change of pace and different spins is key to playing clever tennis

    • @ts440s

You don't carve your strings the strings face left while aiming the edge at 3 o'clock the pronation happens after so you don't tear your shoulder off and finish your hips left there is no carving it's a bad analogy. Just watch federer for every serve because he was the best server, and there is so much slow motion video of him.

It is a slice serve...the ball is moving right to left...hence makes it a slice!!! Theres so many variations of a slice. If theres levels of how much it slices this like 3/10! My slice moves like 5-10 ft this milos slice not so much!!!

I think the angry ppl here can’t understand that you can hit a slice, kick, or flat serve anywhere in the box. Slice moves left, kick moves right, flat goes straight on the start line. Watch the slow-mo on his wide slice serve and you’ll see the same pronation. Or call me an idiot…I don’t care.

He doesn't explain it, and it's just one way of doing it, so not a requirement, but that finger placement allows some players to more easily point the racket to the right side fence in the half serve position, facilitating the right to left elbow hinge, so by the time the racket gets to the trophy pose position there is no need for the finger to be up there, hence why Milos transitions it into a more normal grip position at that point.
