    Thank you very much for all these valuable and useful questions. I loved every question, especially the last one. I'm about to have an interview for my master's degree and I was very concerned about what to ask. English is not my native language which is why I am also very nervous, but I believe that everything will be fine. I will give you feedback after the interview.

    Sir, one of the schools I applied to offered me admission with no funding. I reached out to the department and he said that there's no funding. I sent a cold email to a professor, outside my department, and he responded that it was too early to know whether he would have an opening, I also asked him to schedule a Zoom meeting and he said that I could ask him any question through email, insisting that email is faster. What do you think I should ask him to know my chances of being funded?

      @BestmanAcademy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Good effort. It looks to me that this Prof doesn't want to chat. I'll say you should consider their admission requirements and if you meet or surpass these, you could put in your application. The graduate coordinator may be the best person to ask about your chances of admission/funding with your documents attached to the email.
      Stay strong and good luck to you.

    Thank you, Dr.! Your videos are informative as always!
    I have a meeting with a Potential Masters Supervisor in a week, and I was wondering if it was appropriate to ask him to clarify a section of his research publication (related to what I plan to research on) that I did not fully understand.
    Should I bring this question up at all? And if yes, what is the best way you would advise I phrased it? Thank you.

    • @BestmanAcademy
      @BestmanAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure! I'm sure they would appreciate it. I'd say you should start with it. Bring it up the same way you did here...
      "Thank you so much for this opportunity to interview with you. I have a question on one of your publications that I have pondered on for some time, (mention the paper, then ask the specific question)."
      I'm glad you found this channel helpful. Good luck with your interview! I'm sure you'd kill it!

    Dr. Ojo, I am disappointed at you. Are u not a Nigeria youth? Should u be posting information on scholarships when your brothers are being killed? I love your willingnesss to share help tips but not at time like this. Thanks

      Hi. I understand your grievances.
      Everyone is down at this time.
      But as for me, Dr. Ojo is one of the best Nigerians in diaspora. Always investing his time to help other bright students in Nigeria with his videos. If other Nigerians can do that this nation will be a better place. most Nigerians move abroad and forgets about the nation. Though I don't comment on his channels and he doesn't know me personally. I consider him a Mentor.

      Hello. Thanks for relaying your concerns. I understand it may look tone deaf. I shot and edited all these videos on interviews weeks ago, and I scheduled each one to become public at specific times. It's just an unfortunate coincidence that this dropped today considering what is going on in Nigeria right now.
      Having said that, if you visit my personal social media pages (Twitter, FB, IG), you'd see how I feel about the ongoing Endsars issues. Plus, it may be unfair to starve our non-Nigerian (and willing Nigerian) scholars of vital information since we are now in the grad school interview season at many universities.
      Again, sorry that you feel disappointed. Stay safe!
      -Dr. O

      Dear ab oche, the same Dr. Ojo on Instagram and Twitter has been posting/tweeting repeatedly about the noxious atmosphere in Nigeria while taking stand against such brutality perpetrated by the Men of the Nigerian Armed Forces. I have known Dr. Ojo to be selfless and always ready to help young people without discrimination.
      Nevertheless, thank you for being patriotic. But we must at this critical time continue to promote unity and concord. It is only in this that we can abrogate the reign of terror in our dear country. God bless you.
