The reason why I know this is I ended up signing with Dave’s label,GRP and he himself told me what happened on that project that featured you and Sandy Ighner . I went on to work with Sergio for more than 2 decades on and off which eventually ended in 2013. I wish I were involved back when you were a part of the group. My dear Bonnie, Be well. Your voice is still one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard in my entire life.

I remember this song from the album you released with Sergio Mendes around 1974. Your execution here is perfect, and the song of its kind, is very nearly perfect. I thought the picture on the back of the cover was an image that reflected everything good about the early to mid 70's --and about femininity in that era. I would never have explored Sergio Mendes' music if not for you. And yes, at 17 or 18 I had a very big crush on you--based only on one picture and an absolutely gorgeous voice. Talent is always attractive. Anyway, i think when there is a chance it is important to thank those artists who shape and influence us at the various stages of our life--so, thank you.

This particular song is not any better than the rest that Bonnie sings but it's acutely obvious that her voice Bonnie's voice is so closely tied to Billie Holiday it's so beautiful. The tone and the timber inner voice so closely resembles a muted horn and as remarkable. One of my all-time favorite songs thank you
Interesting how different perspectives can be as I find her voice to be the opposite of Billie's. Bonnie is silky and seductive. Both are amazing and distinctive, however! AND, I find this song to be an absolute standout, and a huge part of that is how perfectly Bonnie delivers it.
