Congrats brotha!! Been watching since you first started your 4bt swap years ago. I now have my 88 f150 4x4 with a 93 6bt with ZF5 swap and it’s been nothing but a joy. You gave the experience that I need to complete my project and now one of these years I too will rebuild when the time is right. It had 300k when it went in and still going strong. It’s always a pleasure when your hard work pays off and everything works as it should. Keep up the great work bud!
I threw a 22SI Remy Delco on my engine. I think it's like 160 AMP. They are often on semi's. Its cheaper to get it at a specialty shop or online than napa. They want an arm and a leg for it.
@@bullford8218 good to know. Im wanting to throw one into my 89 Ramcharger. The only complaint ive heard is that they rattle bad. So ive been doing all the research i can to see how i can limit it as much as possible
Love to see another mpg video when it's done. Hopefully you put an intercooler on it. I'm wondering what your hp and torque goals are. Betting with boost and fuel you can get 230 hp
Bet it gets better mpg and cruising. I believe you were getting 28mpg. Get more boost between 1500-1800 rpm and you should see roughly 33+ with your gearing, trans and tires size.
I was having some nasty oil leaks and to fix the main leak, it required removing the camshaft. At this point I felt it was necessary to pull the engine and do a rebuild. I ended up finding worn rod bearings and it pretty much had almost 400k miles on it. It's much happier now!

your motor doesnt seem to rattle terribly. is that because its not mounted or do you have fluid dampener as well?
I’ve never had this one rattle. No fluid damper but it does have a pretty heavy flywheel on it.

@@bullford8218 what flywheel do you have on it? And what motor mounts did you use? Did you fabricate them? Are they just universal ones?

It’s getting intercooled. That’s why I’ve got the huge 3” intake plate.
@@bullford8218 what are you doing for tubing custom pipes?
Can't wait to see that thing rolling again nice video jimmy!
They don’t call it the paint shaker for nothin
NICE! good job man! did you do rebuild on it to be safe or was it completely necessary?

Congrats!. but I gotta say your mouth ran a lot longer on this video than what I was actually trying to see run (the motor)! Thank you, motor mouth!
Just skip ahead! Lol
