Had a bad PVC valve that caused oil in the combustion chambers but you said i think you put a new one on it so i think your on the track

The stock cam timing gear is composite resin. I have a 89 f150 4.9l

I did a 2barrel carb on my 300 , I had to use an adapter and it ran better than the 1 barrel , but I heard it’s better if you replace the intake and carb .

If you put an accel coil on that puppy, you can gap the plugs out to .055 and set base timing to 14° and she'll be chomping at the bit to run...

Hei and a normal one barrel is the way to go. It’ll run way better. Those feedback carbs are shitty

Hey man a way to solve the skinny steering wheel problem is the same year up to like 91 ford econoline vans. The wheel is a direct swap and is way thicker than that shoe string ford put on them trucks

4x4 swap, s5-42 zf5, small turbo so it spools up at lower rpm. That 300 is bulletproof

I believe the feedback carb trucks used a TFI distributor.

$700?? You know as well as i do that engine will last forever! Much like my 1993 f150 4x4 that I'm working on!! Just wish the body on mine, being in Iowa lol... looked as nice as that. A little body work on that rig.. get rid of the camo... new paint... cmon... it's not that hard to do... that truck would look beautiful! Love the pink seat cover 😅... on a camouflage truck... nice tuch lol!! Damn i wish mine didn't need the bodywork... that bed alone would be at least what you bought the truck for here. Mines already 4x4... so... i win 😅!! A lot you could do to that truck... nice find!

Neat rig. If I remember right those SROD’s were pretty fragile. I’ve only seen a few in the junkyard. Looks like a good candidate for a build. Swap it to 4x4 with ttb and clean it up a bit and it’d be nice.

i like the ladder rack thing. It'll probably look better if you get rid of the supports for the nonexistent tarp. Maybe put some lights on that little platform above the cab. You could maybe hang some recovery gear on the sides of the rack. Do you have plans for the militia benches in the bed?
