Kindergarten sure has changed since I was a kid. There was no emphasis on spelling or reading words. Kids had to learn their alphabet and letters from 0 to 10. It was more about learning to listen, play, get along with others and be kind and respectful. Your room is looking good and take advantage of all the support that your mentor teacher may offer.
