I just thought it would be important to tell you that some people with depression really do struggle to get into the shower or brush their teeth because it feels like such a big task, even though it may not be to others people
I know Elphaba is cringe and all that jazz but sometimes not washing is a sign of a bad mental illness.
Not just that! She's been showing plenty of warning signs in the past and is just getting worse. I really hope she has someone close to her to get her help and offline 😔
What annoys me about elphaba is she has told her followers she is on universally credit(which is fine no issue there) but she strikes me as a person capable of working and just doesn't want to....
you can receive universal credit if you work, its to support anyone who doesnt earn enough money to support themselves because of health/mental health issues, a disability etc... its pip (specifically tier 3) that you cant claim if you work.

Scabies is VERY contagious. You can get them from handling clothing that someone with them wore (hence people being mad she was trying on shoes in a store after showing scabies on her feet)
Scabies is contagious through prolonged, skin to skin contact with someone. Even hugging someone with scabies usually wouldn't transmit it.
The chances of getting it from clothing/bedding is very low for common scabies, but Norwegian scabies is highly contagious and doesn't respond to the treatment given for common scabies. Just some fun facts.
Would not recommend anyone with any scabies tries on clothing/shoes while infected though.
I've had stress-induced eczema and psoriasis all my life and it is so, so difficult to deal with and feel confident. I've been bullied to an extreme extent for many years because of something I was born with and can't control- AND it's something you have to pay to handle like I need creams, ointments, antibiotics, bandages, fucking hydrocortisone. It's awful and I have endless empathy for anyone who struggles this way... but ELPHABA WHAT THE FUCKKKK
No honestly though I do not know what I'd do if I had scabies. There was an infestation of bed bugs in my group home last year and I honestly did not sleep for days I was terrified of anything getting my skin worse. Props to her for pushing through, but like is the shit she does considered pushing through? I mean, maybe it's mostly for money and fame/infamy but surely there's a line
I can relate so much. I've had skin issues for a few years now and I make the shit worse because I've always been a picker at my skin, even when I was a little kid. It's so fucking awful because people stare and some ask what the deal with your skin is and in front of others too and it's so embarrassing and humiliating. My skin has been mostly clear for months now (knock on wood), and I'm trying so hard to keep it that way. But it's a battle. So, solidarity friend. ✊💓

it can be classed as an sti so she’s either been having prolonged skin to skin contact with someone who has scabies or someone in her household has it and she’s used a towel or slept in a bed where someone’s had scabies, I wanna know how she got it tho because it’s extremely rare to just get it randomly 🤔

edit: there is still a treatment for Norwegian scabies though. If permethrin (topical treatment for common scabies) hasnt worked, usually ivermectin tablets are prescribed and that works for Norweigan.

Scabies is easily treatable. Like cover your body in the $10 cream, turn the aircon on and put on long sleeves, pants and a pair of socks so the cream stays on. Stay home for 24 hours (can be overnight) and it should be cleared. Use the 24 hours to hot wash all your linen and soft furniture and your done. It’s not a hard thing to fix and you certainly can have it sorted in a couple of days and just move on with your life.

My little niece got scabies from another girl from school and she has bad eczema so it was really noticeable and even doctors didnt realise until everyone else in the home started to itch and get like bites. So they all had to isolate and the school was told. However! A few days before the school had found out this other girl had it and they told the family to keep her off yet didn't inform other parents about this until my sister rang about my niece. Just over half the class ended up with it from one girl... they was like 4 year olds
