Its nice to see people like yourself that are happy yet humble about these epic finds. Nothing turns me off more then "You will not believe how we ripped off this old lady for her sons video games! Haha its her fault she doesn't know the value" A few channels out there and I bet you folks know whom I am speaking of.

I still have my own boxen near mint NES action system from my youth. As do i have every other game and console ever owned still boxed and complete in great shape. Had the luck to be the kid that took care of his stuff and never had to sell things. Today i have a game attick where the games and consoles are stored and displayed :)

Thats awesome John! Last year I bought a Sega Genesis Sonic edition CIB, mint, all manuals and plastic baggies, for $120 here in Chicago! Even better, when I met up for the purchase, it was a retired couple who said belonged to their son long ago and was a Christmas present. So yes, mine was a 1 owner also. Felt special too! Salud to that! 🍻🍻 Great video & great find my friend!👍😎

ooh, I love it. I wish I still had my Sonic edition Genesis box and all that (I lost all my boxes in a basement flood)

@@JohnRiggs Sadly I lost several gaming boxes due to moisture seepage thru my concrete basement floor; wicked up thru a cardboard storage box sitting directly on the floor.

GOOD SCOOP! Always love seeing a pick up with complete in box games.
I also just purchased an Action Set a few weeks ago with a couple of games in box. Kept the Action Set and a few games (Snake's Revenge, TaleSpin). It's so clean like yours. Sticker (Caldor) and all! Congrats! 😎

It's always a good rule of thumb to ask if someone has more even or ask in general as you never know. Sometimes people have so much "clutter" they forget so can't really go wrong. Great scores!

Rubber bands around cords trigger me, I always wrap around the controller, it's gentler on the cord. In fact, I've got a 3rd party Switch controller sitting in front of my on my desk with the cord wrapped around it. The key is to leave a little of the cord coming out of the controller loose and wrap the rest of the cord.

I'm actually one that hates seeing controllers getting wrapped around itself. Overtime the cable will separate from inside the controller and create shorts which is why using rubber bands or Velcro straps is way better as you aren't damaging the wires inside the controllers

People have been telling me that wrapping the cord around the controller will break it for decades. How many of my controllers have broken due to wrapping it like that? 0. My NES controllers STILL work despite wrapping them like that. I've gone through more 360/ONE controllers (which have no wires) then any other controllers in my life and I've been playing games since the mid 80's.
I also blow in my cartridges and when I was younger would lick both sides of the contacts (I just clean them now) and people would say that not only would break my game but also the system. How many games and systems have broken due to either of those things? 0.
I guess superstition can affect anyone.

"There's people that don't care for this kind of cord wrapping"...the reason they don't like it is that it shortens the lifespan of the object the cord is attached to. Wrapping it around the unit itself, puts unnecessary strain on the cable itself, including the wiring inside. The reason you make loops and whatever away from the item it's connected to is to avoid strain on the cable where it connects to the item. If you look at any wiring and cabling documentation for professionals, there's actually a way to measure how much 'curve' and 'bend' you can put on a cable safely and most of the time, the people wrapping their cord around their controller ain't exactly following that guide. :)
So that's why 'some folks' don't care for it because it's a one way ticket to shorten the life of an item before it needs repair or cable replacement. :)
*insert THE MORE YOU KNOW graphic here*

Missing a chunk in the styrofoam?! That's it, take it back to the seller. It's not 100% perfect so you need to return it post haste. I have never been this disappointed before in my life. I'm so wrought with anger that I want you to give me the sellers information...so I know to never buy from them again of course. I would never attempt to contact them and tender my own offer...scouts honor. ;)
