- Hi there,
I'm excited to be cutting and polishing some fossilized corals from Michigan that I got from my mystery bucket purchase.
Link below 👇 for that video.
• I Dropped $60 Cash on ...
I kind of went on an emotional rollercoaster on this batch...but just a kiddy coaster 😁.
To start with I was real excited to be cutting my first corals. Then I was happy with them after cut but it wasn't what I'd imagined I guess. Then I polished them and my emotions went through the roof.
There's always a difference in details when you polish a rock from it's original state, but the drastic difference between an unpolished fossil coral and a polished one is like night and day.
Watch until the end to get what I'm talking about here.
There's still so much to do from that bucket of rocks, so I hope you stay tuned for more of this fun adventure in the future.
Thanks for your time.
Hope you're all doing well.
Take care.
Fred
Love the fossils.
@@patriciamilholand3585 Thanks 😄. I do to... they're so cool. I'm going to have fossils on the brain all the time now.
Thanks Fred. Lovely stuff!!!
@@Grandmasrockin Thank you for being such a faithful viewer, subscriber, and pal.
It wouldn't feel the same without sharing.
I still had the same excitement before sharing on TH-cam but after the 4 other people in my household said wow...it was kind of over. Now the joy keep going on everytime someone watches, comments, and/or likes the video. Yay 😁
Great one, Fred! You did a nice job on both the cutting and polishing😊 This kept me glued to screen. The 2nd one you cut is a cladopora. That was a good one.
@@jimdutcher6678 Thanks. I was so unsure of how to deal with these and happy they turned out nice.
I love the cladapora piece. I was looking at the shape later and kind of looks like the shape of a Native American stone bear fetish, flip it upside down and it kind of looks like an otter on its back. I could stare into that one for awhile.
Do you know what #4 is?
I'm curious about that lump.
Is that more than one fossil in the mix?
Thanks Dutch 👍
That's funny, I also saw a buffalo or bear. I think the other coral on petoskey is a favosites honeycomb coral. In Michigan it's known as a Charlevoix stone. Many times there are several types of corals and crinoid bits all together.
@@jimdutcher6678 oh yeah...I see the buffalo 🦬
Thanks for the info. I'll try to take it in and remember. I appreciate you.
I so wanted to finish watching the video but I get the woolies from porous things. So I had to stop but I made it through 2and couldn’t do it. It’s called Y
Trypophobia. Still number 2 was my favorite. I listened though lol. Omg o have the icks..
@@sherry2483 Oh wow. That's something new to me. Well that must not be easy, but you still listened without bailing on it... you're so sweet.
Maybe you shouldn't watch the Cutting Uglies videos, there may be more like that, but you can still listen and like 😁.
I'm also about to start cutting rocks from the beach glacial till video a there may be some like that...I don't know yet. Beware 😬, but it is the spooky season. 🎃
The one at 3:33 is almost perfect cabs as is. So is the next one. Lol.
@@JnVrockhounding I know. So lucky with that. I was so afraid to cut it because I thought it seemed to be a nearly perfect cab before I cut but I trusted the bag which had written on it "coral cutters". So it is written, so it shall be done...and I dunn did it 😁
