Bruh….. you do know that we still have Tokyo Disneyland’s electrical parade: dreamlights. So this parade isn’t dead at all. Even when you count the fact that the main street electrical parade is coming back to Disney world this summer.
September 1, 2022, after 50 years of entertaining guests, the Main Street Electrical Parade ended permanently at Disneyland. Thanks for the memories (1972-2022).
I'm always so fascinated by this parade, this is my second favorite nighttime spectacular, I've always wondered how long it takes to set up the lights on the floats and switch the screen to "Walt Disney World Presents." The last time I saw this parade was back in 2014. Hope it does come back to Disney World.
Well this is disneylands electrical parade so it was never meant to have walt disney world on the drum because Walt Disney wod had their own version bit that went to Paris and retired over there. Also I don't think the parade eould return there because the floats took quite a beating from the trip back as the first Pinocchio float didn't even make all the way
@@ItzAdrian02 are there any pictures of the damaged Pinocchio float? I’ve heard all about it, makes me wonder if that’s why they got rid of Tink’s balloon and moved her to the middle
Thank you for sharing. I also saw the castmember preview when Disney Parks Live invited us to the party. I was glad to be able to have it where my 92 year old Mom was able to watch it on her TV. We first saw the parade 50 years ago when the only way they could keep the castmember costumes lit up was to have them plugged into the power source on the floats. It gradually became more animated over the years when they no longer had to be plugged in and could move more freely. Hopefully the parade will not stay away too long.
Curious where it will go next. You cant tell me Disney paid all this money to re-imagine the last float from the America float to the Small World theme to only run it for a short time in Disneyland. Its either going to be seasonal at Disneyland, or its going to MK.
It was scheduled as a limited time run. Disneyland usually has a lot of limited time offerings, because Disneyland is mostly made up of locals who live in the area. Disney always needs new things in Disneyland to get the locals in, and then they need it to end so the locals see it one last time. The parade will most likely return to Magic Kingdom for the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration.
They’re not, this is just its last run for the year because of all of the Halloween stuff. Rumor has it they’re sending it back to WDW, but if not then it’ll be back at DL next spring or summer
I can’t believe they didn’t bring this to WDW for the 50th. I love it, but if you see it during the day out back it looks awful. I still love it and if a bean counter wasn’t in charge they’d have a nighttime parade. 3 years yo wait!
@@Chaneloweenz Not sure you know your Disney Trivia? Disney World in 1972 making 2022 their 50th Birthday. Disneyland is much older in comparison. They did ignore Epcot which opened in 1982 and they have celebrated every 5th year? Perhaps the pandemic.
@@MichaelSmith-fd9ec You clearly didn't read what I said and Its evident that YOU don't know your Disney Trivia. The Main Street Electrical Parade didn't even premiere at Walt Disney World until 1977 which is not yet 50 years ago. Main Street Electrical Parade started at Disneyland therefore its more appropriate that its 50th be celebrated where the parade was conceived. Walt Disney world should bring back SpectroMagic instead of taking something that is rightfully Disneyland's. The transportation has destroyed enough of the ancient floats so its time for WDW to let it go and reimagine SpectroMagic.
@@Chaneloweenz I can’t disagree with you on Spectro Magic! They didn’t really give that it’s due. I think I may have misconstrued your comment that it was Disneylands anniversary. I’ve been a pass holder for both parks DisneyWorld where I worked in 86 and Disneyland when I was in San Diego for much longer. I was always convinced Anaheim got all the attention while Orlando was treated like #2! Fantasmic being another example. Took 10 years to get one of the best shows in history. Indiana Jones became Dinosauro? I even was a fan of the early CA Adventure. But I stand corrected is I misunderstood. I appreciate you taking the time to write because I’m a bid Disney fan and love it’s history (right now there’s a desperate need for a new Visionary. Bob Iger has been a good business man, but Eisners.(coming from being President of Paramount) understood movies made Disneyland possible. Hence little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin) that financed a lot of attractions. Today it’s totally different with Parks being (maybe the only source of real income). Do you think Iger is the guy? He got Pixar (thank God Eisner almost blew that deal-two visionary butting heads). Iger got Marvel and Lucasfilm) but where’s the originality? I can’t name a song from the last 10 Disney movies (I can for Pixar). Pixar was Steve Jobs vision. Who’s you next visionary? I don’t thing it’s Iger? Josh? I won’t even mention Chapek (ouch). I think we both want the same thing A Strong Happiest place on earth! We went to Disney recently and employees seemed more discouraged than Happy (not all), but pay these poor people! That’s Job #1. That’s the start of the new vision for me! Some people have 2 or 3 roommates because Orlando got expensive thanks to Disney, but they forgot to reward the cast!
I MISS THIS PARADE!
I hope this parade shows back up at the Magic Kingdom. We haven't had a night time parade in years.

BRING IT BACK TO WDW!

*laughs in J.K. Simmons* You serious?
The Disneyland website already confirmed this isn’t its last ever performance
@@Bmanlegoboy yeah they’d have made a way bigger event out of it like 1996 if this was the end

Wow I literally go in a couple of days and I was so looking forward to seeing this again😭
I sure loved that parade when in was at WDW!
They really should've had it stick around another week for those coming in for the Expo next week!
I agree!
I LOVE THIS PARADE!
I’ll miss the iconic intro and music. Saw it several times during the season and this past weekend.

Tokyo keeps updating its version of the parade. It's still popular after so many years. Even the Dreamlights version is over 20 years old.
Goodness the crowd was so rowdy! Kinda conflicts with the music but I guess they felt it added to their experience.
BRB sobbing
Do you know what’s replacing that parade then
Nothing, disneyland brings back parades for a limited time every year, paint the night and electrical parade are like this
@Mr. Joshi's Pizza - THE ENCANTO MAN they’re already working on it
@Mr. Joshi's Pizza - THE TEXAN MIRABEL it’s coming back next spring!!
Cool
I heard that it was gonna end soon but why tho

Why is it leaving?!?
Bring it back to Florida
AGREED BRING IT BACK TO FLORIDA!
BRING IT BACK TO FLORIDA!
It won’t return to Florida because the first Pinocchio float got damaged in The transport System
The floats took a beating just making the trip over across the us
It will be back somewhere within six months …

Why would they? MSEP should only celebrate its 50th at the place where it started.

Disneyland parade is coming okay?
To WDW?
I’m expecting an announcement at D23 next Sunday during the parks panel.
The way they’ve been marketing it at WDW lately, I feel like it’s inevitable. Just please take better care of the floats this time 😂
Why do people have to yell and scream and ruin it for everybody
