It’s probably one of the best parades ever created and wow what a soundtrack the music is absolutely phenomenal it’s what else tunes are you listening for the next five minutes and then it’s stuck in your head for the next five years
here's something you *MIGHT& not know about the parade's soundtrack. up until January 5, 2009, the parade used a soundtrack that had *MOSTLY* 2-beat tempo. I say *MOSTLY* because there *WAS* 1 bar of music with s 3-beat tempo. Choreographers didn't like that from day 1 so when the parade underwent some changes, they switched to the soundtrack that Tokyo is using and added in musical elements for floats not seen in their version. they would have switched sooner but I think thyey have like a 5-year no-compete clause between them and the Domestic parks. the same no compete clause is why it's taking forever and a day for Tron to be built at Magic Kingdom.

Missing the “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” in the digital voice.
But this opener is the same amount to get us all in the feels, right?
@@pattersonparker8661 I don’t know. It’s like when you watch a movie and you have an over-actor. It takes you out of the immersion. As it’s happening I was just thinking “Oh they changed it.” Then the reason they changed it is counter intuitive. They brought it back for the nostalgia which doesn’t apply to that crowd.

i agree, it was an iconic moment of my childhood and something i'll always remember but they still pretty much did the rest of the digital intro so it's still almost the same. im just glad they at least kept the same music, i would have had a heart attack if they would have changed it lol!

Always great to see this classic, but it seems like there was a lot of empty space compared to my memories. I don't recall having to wait long stretches between sections.

Spent the majority of the time watching the phone to see when the floats were coming 🤧🤧
This is one they have yet to screw up- seriously even the minor updates fit in beautifuly and dont compromise the integrity or overall show! I am so glad they brought it back.

My favorite part of the parade is it’s actually audience Active that some people clap to the beats at the beginning

As a non-American, I don't at all mind the new finale. However, I do find it very funny that Americans find being American too controversial now.
Most Americans are confused as to what patriotism really means
Oh, in this case, it’s because this is the only copy of the parade left under Disney Ownership, so to international proof it, while they were giving it a much needed refurb, they changed it to Small World, like it is in Tokyo. Most people got that part fine.
Because some Americans take their patriotism too far that they become extremists like how there are Muslim extremists as well. It's okay to be proud but don't make like an extension of your personality.
Eh, it’s give and take imo. The new flag retreat that happens every day now has a segment to honor every branch of the military by singing their song.
So I don’t really think it’s controversy about patriotism. Plus they don’t have to rehire the like 12 dancers that were a part of the finale lol
They’re confused about pretty much everything at this point. I would point out examples, but I don’t want them riled up lol

It gets so crowded it’s hard to find a place to sit down
People used to clap at the end. Sign of the times.
Would have preferred the finale floats with actual characters and not just an animatronic

if it ever *DOES* come back it'll be interesting to hear: 1. what they do for a new opening announcement since Disney no longer uses "Ladies and Gentlemen Boys and Girls" and what would they replace "Zip A -Dee-Doo-Dah" during the finale with?
@@disneydanny2 For Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah I’d assume they would just give it the Festival of Fantasy treatment, that being just turn it into an instrumental during the parts it would normally play.

@@GarethDodo I don’t really know that they need to, but Disney has removed almost every instance of Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah, due to concerns over racism.

How come all the colored characters are at the very end? Moana, Aladdin and Jasmine, Coco, Mirabel, Pocahontas, Mulan, Lilo. The only white character was Merida and Anna & Elsa.

Amazing! Not one performer or unit missing. WDW could NEVER
*RIGHT* although a couple weeks agai they had a strange performance, No Minnie (staffing shortage and Np Pinocchio either yet his buddies and the Fun House face float *STILL* went out.

There's a lot of dead space in this parade. i do miss the Blue fairy in the lead but Tokyo has the best version of her. I hopes we might see it here
The dead space is there to allow guests to cross the parade route. Disneyland’s parade route literally splits the park into 2 during parades and creates bottlenecks because it only has 2 major crossings. So they need all the time they can get to allow as many guests to cross.
@@pinhead35 Oh ok I've never even thought to try to cross a parade. I was taught as a kid if there's parade going on either you stay on this side or use the train.
Whoever created the ending of this parade it was terrible need to have a better ending than that. I was very disappointed in the ending of the parade bring back the God Bless the USA 🇺🇸 float for the ending.
Overall While I Enjoy This It Feels Lacking The New Intro and Finale Are Nice as Well As The 50 Years On The Train But Half Of The Characters Are Gone Like In Alice In Wonderland The Queen The Tweedles And Hatter Are Gone And So Are The Lost Boys and Tinkerbell During The Peter Pan Segment and The Donkey Boys During The Pinocchio Segment The Floats Are Fine But Without The Other Performers The parade Feels Lacking And Slow And I'm Bummed Cause this Is One Of My Favorite Parades But in it's Current state It Feels Like A Cash Grab just To Lure People Back Using Nostalgia

The LAST FLOAT They RUINED It! WHAT A Horrible Sound Track! OMG! What Else Are They Going To Ruin!
They didn't ruin a float, they replaced it, much different...and if you are only watching the parade to see the "to honor America" float, it was included for the upcoming bicentennial of the country in 1976, its been 46 years since the bicentennial, it was far past due to give the float a rest...

Do we know what happened to the Dumbo floats? I know they weren't present at the most recent migration to the MK, but just assumed it was a space issue.
The dumbo float was damaged in storage and never repaired. The original Pinocchio float was in the 2016 WDW version but was damaged in transit back to California and wasn't repaired as well.
Did anyone notice that the first Pinocchio float was missing, and when it was at WDW the Tinker Belle float was the same as this but she was in a little hot air balloon, wonder what happened, does anyone know?😁😁😁
The first Pinocchio float was damaged during it's transit from Magic Kingdom 😢
For Tinkerbell, She was moved back with alterations for her float. Because they had nothing to promote it

Yeah, I probably won’t be able to make it to Disneyland while this runs, so I really wish it would come back to Magic kingdom some day.
@@JavaCake apparently the floats took a beating on the last trip back from Florida, one float didn’t even survive the trip back

It's strange that Disneyland are putting on 4 nighttime spectaculars but WDW (who was open longer & made more money) have only brought the fireworks back. 🤔

I enjoyed while noticing the subtle differences to a parade I've enjoyed since 1979. Recording with cell phones is difficult and listening to sound is difficult on a phone or desktop/laptop speakers when the live experience is an overwhelming, 360 degree audio immersion. I've yet to see any video that captures the way the live eye sees this parade but like what I saw enough to go see if it comes to Florida.
They need to bring back the old sounding soundtrack. This new version sounds much like pop music…no nostalgia whatsoever. It’s nice to see Alice in Wonderland floats though since that film is rarely represented in any parade/show.
I agree! It sounds to childish. Something out of a cartoon for 5 year olds. But the original is amazing all around

Despite the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade’s return, I’d love to see STAR WARS parades at the Disney Parks like one for Disney’s Hollywood Studios similar to the STAR WARS weekends parade and a huge and elaborate electrical STAR WARS parade with awesome floats and dozens of STAR WARS characters!
Ok I know I’m not crazy but once I saw this parade and saw the Elliot float and instead of Pete up there talking they had NORA FREAKING NORA AND THE CAST MEMBER SOUNDED JUST LIKE HELEN READY I SWEAR THIS WAS A THING-
