New to crafting stories and getting creative with videos. Stumbled upon VideoGPT, and it's like having this content enhancer that adds a pro touch to my creations, making them stand out.
Great! I would like to know if is possible to subdivide a mesh un blender and bring back into CC4 or create a CC4 standard with subdivisions. My problem is with the fingers of charecters I create. I need a dense mesh for them to look good.
Thank you Reallusion for all this hard work! :-) So if I wanted to make a realistic male, why should I use these new "cc bases" instead of using, say, "Kevin" (CC4) as a starting point? I don't really understand what the advantage is of using these. I'm not clear also about whether these are rigged - it seems based on this tutorial video that they aren't, but you can add your own rigs in "one click" in Blender (as shown in the video). Which is the same as with Kevin Camilla and Susan, when you export them as FBX, and then import into Blender. Right? Sorry for such basic questions. :-) Also, I thought maybe these "base" characters were so we could make characters to sell, but the EULA seems to say you can't sell any characters you make with these bases. But maybe by "3rd party marketplace" it means non-Reallusion marketplaces? And we CAN sell on reallusion official marketplace?
You're right, u can use any CC3+ character as the base. I think the goal of giving away these 5 characters is to reach users who don't have the character creator, as all these 5 characters are already available for free in the Character pack in Content Manager for CC users. If you are using the FBX format, these characters are already rigged. (Similar to exporting FBX characters from CC). The video only demonstrates using Auto Setup plugin to generate controllers (Rigify) for these pre-rigged characters.
With these meshes is it possible to have them morph based on sliders in game in unreal? I would like to use them for allowing a user to set the build of their char in the character creator.
mine has an issue every time I try to transfer. It says I need to turn on the expression editor then if I do it fails saying it cant import all the meshes unless I go to Gz import all, there is no import goz in character creator so I am at a loss and yes, I am exporting with GZ All each time. can you help?
Hi @victorff111, The files provided here come in several formats, including FBX, OBJ, and ZTL. The FBX files contain rigged characters that you can freely import into software such as ZBrush, Blender, or Maya for animation. You would only need Character Creator if you want to expand on the creative possibilities, like adding different clothing and accessories. Likewise, you would only need to use AccuRig if you were rigging from scratch.
Update: The latest version of the plugin has trouble with one of the models. Rolling back to v2.0.2 plugin fixed the problem. I'm using the CC/iC Blender Tools 2.0.5 in Blender and the Rigify button works for all of the FBX characters except for the Neutral_F. For her the button is replaced with the text "This character can not be rigged." I've tried in both Blender 3.5 and 4.0.2 and Rigify 0.6.8 and 0.6.9. I've also tried re-extracting the file with the characters, but still no dice. One thing I noticed is that CC/IC Pipeliner lists the Character Generation as "Prop" whereas the others are something like "G3Plus". Perhaps they included the wrong FBX generation for Neutral_F in the download bundle??
I'm using the v2.0.2 plugin is OK. I suggest avoiding the latest version because the plugin is continually being developed, so the latest version might be unstable.
@@yanshengchau7028 That's an excellent suggestion! Plus it's good to hear that the model is fine in at least one version. I will give it a shot right now. Thank you! :)
The Neutral Female file has encountered some unexpected errors in the newest version of Blender AutoSetup. We have already re-uploaded the corrected files. Please download the base file again; it should work properly now. thanks
I take it this is only compatible with CC4/iC8 if you want to try and import into Reallusion programs? No matter, as I will likely only be using these for creation of clothing and props for CC3/iC7. I'm just going to straight up say right now that a lot of those "innovations" for iC8/CC4 could've instead been made for iC7/CC3 instead of forcing users to spend thousands of $$$ on the "latest, greatest, soon to be obsolete" version. I mean, you look at the forums. What is your "wish list" for applications in Character Creator/iClone? Tell us how we can squeeze thousands more out of you in the next version instead of implementing it in the current version that in which you've already spent your hard earned cash. Also, this download is B.S. I keep getting a "Cannot find the (path string) zip file". Downloaded this THREE times...and keep getting the same message.
Yea I'm guessing so too just like they did with the free Toon base and it was only for CC4 I was thinking about updating and I noticed all what people used to complain about coming true. Wish I took heed years ago.

Hi @zijun490, Within the Scene Manager, you can switch between different render modes, including wireframe. You can also display joint positions. Currently, Character Creator does not have a muscle system.
So, what are you allowed to use them for? I'd want to create highly "sexualized" fan art of video game characters. No actual nudity, but is this considered still "NSFW," and therefore, you can't use these for that?

can i use them in unity or unreal, for ingame character creator (as a data format, not for exporting) for using as ingame main character or npc only.
Wow ! Just wow
Isn't this the free Daz Studio with the exact interface I've been using for years ... only given a different name and price?
Looks Like a dream.....

So I need to buy one of your products to rig it or do it with accurig? You couldn't just give a fbx file with the mesh rigged?

I'm guessing that the new bases, if you are not going to edit on an external software, are on a new update?
Hi there, these bases are the same as the CC embedded bases, so you can easily find and use them in CC for your creations. Thank you!
