My Goodwill has two battery candles from hobby lobby marked $7.50 right now. The problem is, $7.50 is the cost brand new at hobby lobby. Prices are insulting.
It's not enjoyable any longer going to Goodwill. I am afraid they are pricing themselves out of the thrifting market. I tend to shop at the other thrift stores in my area. I also take my discards to other thrift shops. Blessings and prayers...
Everyone, across all the states, is complaining about GW's prices! I didn't shop the GW where i lived in TN, it was basically just clothing. The few shelves it did have was just junk. I don't know what the GW where I live in here in FL is like.. I've not been yet so 🤷♀️ I have one of the baskets with the gingham check liner, in a light blue & white. Mine is pretty large, i keep blankets rolled up in it. My daughter gave it to me, I'm not sure what she paid for it 🤷♀️ You can also use pictures from like the coffee table size books, I have several i use for that. There's a mod podge technique you can use to make the pictures look like oil paintings. Honey me too, I'm a hoarder of old lamps😄 I just love old lamps & in all sizes.. Glass, brass, wood.. all the things! That's exactly what i do too, i stick them everywhere! I loved the brass one with double candles you were looking at, I've been looking for one made that way. I always pick up the tiny ones when they're A good price, you can put them most anywhere. Changing the shades out can really make a big difference in the look of the lamp! Where we lived for most of our married life & raised our kids til they were grown was just a couple miles from the state line on the NC side. My MIL still lives just across the state line on the SC side. I love the rusty & crusty too😄 I always use google Lens on most everything i buy, you'll find the maker, age, value, some history and things like that. You can actually use google Lens for anything.. flowers, plants, insects, cars.. anything you want to search! Its simple & a really great tool! When we lived in TN (we've recently moved to FL) we owned a thrift store & used it to help in pricing items. I love anything old & made of wood.. the little box Is sweet😊 Same..i love to collect old books! So much you can do with them! Always love A thrifting & haul video😊 You found some great pieces! TFS😊

It isn't just Goodwill that is overpriced. A couple other local thrift stores in my area are way overpriced. Makes me think they don't want to sell items very bad. Also, our Goodwill sells the nicer donated items online, so what's left goes into the bins or the store.

Yes, crazy prices for sure. It sounds like the prices are high across the board and not just in my area. Maybe we will start seeing better prices because they will not be able to get rid of the stuff. 🤷♀️

Arc and Goodwills in Colorado are ridiculous with their pricing. Might as well go to Home Goods or Hobby Lobby.
