I am in total admiration. This was one of my bucket list jobs to do, but time stoppeth for no man. Looking at the terrain, I don't think I'd have even got to the summit never mind get down. So well done to all. Great achievement.
Just watched your vid. You got off so lucky at the bottom missing that car and managing to stop bike. I on the other hand did pretty much exactly the same thing as you but came off much worse. As I rounded the corner there were people in middle of the road, so I took same line as you onto grass trying to miss sand box. Unfortunately I clipped it with pedal and exploded over bars and landed down in the road. Smashed up my big toe and fucked thigh and back up for a bit. Just glad to see it wasn’t just me that made same mistake, it’s obviously a bad corner that catches people out. We did Ranger path down, crazy trail and fast in places. We hit 40mph + at one point 😄
Yep it was a close one! I didn’t think cars were allowed up there to be honest but it turns out they were, maybe it’s time to add some slow down signs for cyclists ahah Rangers path looks so good, but 40mph is seriously quick!
@@ZacHigham oh those speeds were on the gravel trail section after ranger (letter box ally?) and on that last road section like in your vid. I managed to scrub some speed off as it turns out, I hit it at around 30 instead 🤣 rangers is awesome and bit tough, but I was riding a 26”, so made everything feel like a boulder 🤣
Yes we went up on the Llanberris path and descended the Llanberris path! I would say a good 95% of it is easily walkable (or rideable depending on will power), the other 5% is a bike on the back or a hefty push up some rocks! It was a while ago so there may be some things that I missed, but pretty much all of the descent is in this video!
I would reccomend a full sus but it’s do-able on a hard tail I suppose once you get lower down. We hiked up & descended the Llanberis path, the place was absolutely rammed and about 30 degrees, took us a few hours and it wrote us off ahah
@@ZacHigham Aaah yes, I was considering getting the WG2! Your footage is great quality and nice and smooth but think I might try the Hero 7 for simplicity's sake and they're not too pricey now. Thanks again for the great content as always 👍
Tom Freegard It’s a decent gimbal, but there are better ones on the market, but it’s cheap and waterproof so it’s perfect for me, the Hero7 is a great choice, but I feel like the sound quality still isn’t there, for my liking anyway, but for quick footage it’s very good :)
Paul O'Brien yep a separate track down would be perfect then it could be utilised all day! But there is exclusivity in being that dawn raider who gets up and does it !! I’m sure there’s a heli pad up there that would be the ultimate among the many great places to ride in Wales!
@@mitchwarren1600 ive never actually been but i hear theres 3 routes back down ? This one been easiest ? Rangers been a bit chunkier and then rhyd ddu thats like super tech ... either way id happily have a go at the lot
Paul O'Brien This is the easiest path to my knowledge, we was abit short on time and didn’t wanna risk getting stuck up there when it’s dark, I think we will try Rangers next time
I’m from Llanberis and have never biked down Snowdon! 🫣. It’s something Ive wanted to do for a long time. A mate of mine goes up on his e-bike effortlessly!!! One day I’ll do it 😄 I bet your disc brakes were red hot by the time you got to the bottom man!!
Haha can’t believe this video still gets views! Yeah you should do mate being so close you could do it on an evening it’s way nicer, the brakes & my arms were cooked on the way down!
6:24 8:55 11:34 It’s easy to spot people moving on video but when everything is going on sometimes you forget, there was 5 of us so maybe someone else passed on the message!

Yoh just seen this now! That is some next level Bike Tekkers Man! especially on those massive rocks. That must have been a Sick experience well done.

Hopefully get to do this in the summer
Crazy as hell just walked that path and that was bad enough, some skills there well done
Thank You!
How i envy that man with the quadbike. Wish i had that when i went up

Did you also go up, on the same route? What % going up is ridable please?

@@050224011 Sick, it’s very difficult isn’t it, but going down is great fun once you get into the flow of it!
Cant believe you just missed the car! Awesome ride
ahah yes it was a close one
So sick bruh!!!!!!!!! 🤘🏻
What camera you have ?Really good quality.
This was filmed on a GoPro HERO 4 Silver with a Feiyutech WG2 :)
I was going to hike the Pyg trail to the top! Then descend down the mine trail! After seeing this! I may take my full suss!
What was the climb like? Which trail did you ascend? Cheers Paul

Great video Zac, thanks for the upload. What camera are you using please?
Thanks! I’m using a GoPro hero 4 silver on a FeiyuTech WG2 gimbal :)

Really dont know how you guys cycled up the Llanberis route as your thighs must have been on fire
Hahah! Brilliant!!!! 👍👍👍
Try in the winter?🔥😂
Couldn’t imagine the wind ahah
One day we will be able to use the train as an up lift !!!
I cant beleive they missed a trick on this ^^ one day a week even ... couple of shuttle trailers ont back of the train .. i would happily pay for that

I am, I changed the rear cog so it’s a little bit easier to pedal :)
Yr Wyddfa.
Snowdon is better for the title, but yes Yr Wyddfa
Awesome footage
