Ik this was from years ago… but to the people saying “you shouldn’t use Toby”, I’ve heard otherwise. Although, apologies if I’m wrong, I only heard this from other people, so don’t quote me on this. So, apparently the creator just said no one should use Toby in a fit of rage, since he was mad cuz 1, people were sexualizing him, and 2, people were trying to make money off of what he write. I’m pretty sure Kastoway (Toby’s creator) has said he is fine with you using Toby, as long as you credit him. Also he would appreciate it if you wouldn’t ship him with other creepypastas or ocs. Clockwork is kinda iffy, because some people say that both creators would like to forget Toby x Clockwork, but others say that Clockwork’s creator says if you want you to ship her with someone, she would prefer it to be with Toby. Now, I have heard Kastoway wants Toby taken down from the wiki and eventually the fandom. The wiki? Understandable. The fandom, as in the group of people who are fans? As much as I like supporting the wishes of creators, (I know I’m probably to get a lot of hate for this comment, but oh well) I don’t think you can just remove his existence from the minds of the fans. Plus, he did say he’s okay with you using him, so you can’t have him removed from the fandom if people still use him. Sorry, I just made a whole paragraph.
