    Hi sir,
in the tensile part you are calculating the stress strain data with the second paper. There you have got 5 values. You have the maximum: so Y=0,7*sqrt(f_max) and y2=y*2/3 y3=y*3/8, y4=y/6. y5=0. In y5 you have epsilon_c*16. You did not calculate the last value. Was it on purpose?

    Thanks!

From the cracking and inelastic strain how to a change it to displacement value? I want to use displacement instead

You mentioned that in case we have the experimental stress strain data that we dont need to use these model . Actually i only had the ascending branch from cylinder testing and due to absence of descending branch i used model
Secondly can you please confirm that for CDP in Abaqus the concrete stress- strain relationship we need to use is for a confined concrete or unconfined concrete ?? Actually i have a simulation to run in which the grout is confined by steel sleeve so i modelled the sleeve and grout in Abaqus and i believe that Abaqus should consider the confining effect of this steel sleeve on grout and therefore in my CDP i used the unconfined stress - strain relationship ..is my approach ok or i need to used the confined stress -strain relationship for my CDP ?

Dear brother, the case he showed us was that of unconfined concrete. You'll see if you've read that paper.

If we use the Kent and Park model which say that it is applicable for the confined concrete and use its formula to establish the stress - strain relationship then my question is i had done cylinder testing and ultimate strength i got from that is 80MPa so now in Kent and Park model what value of ultimate strength sigma(cu) ?? i think it shouldn't be 80MPa and that from cylinder testing which is unconfined strength. Secondly this Kent and park model is developed considering transverse ties however my case the confinement is from a thin cold formed steel so this model would be applicable to my case ??

For confined data use other models available in paper

@@abaqusfem The paper mentioned that Kent and Park Model for confined and unconfined concrete however the equation 16 mention in the paper you have shown in video is for unconfined concrete probably. il search for the confined equation .
