Another important thing is to tell your subscriber’s is to always set your parts up the same way they sit on the vehicle (as you do) never lay a door or fender flat cause the metallic my lay different and almost always the clear will lay down flatter and once the panel is put back on it won’t match the peel of the adjacent panel, another great technical video!
One of my favorite colors 46V. The blend has to be a PITA. I like your square trick. Years of experience. You’re the true master when it comes to Kandy. The job came out slick. Enjoy your week my man.
Great video Bro. The square box trick is amazing. I am a old school painter and would always jamb out parts and have body man hang parts then paint and blend. Like I say you are never to old to learn new tricks! Great job.
I have a complete I have to spray in this color. Can’t wait lol. I’ve sprayed lots of other candy reds though. I ain’t scared. Great video my guy. Cheers from Ohio.
Love your work man. If I may make one suggestion (only because I haven't seen you use it) Tell your shop owner or manager to get you the digimatch color camera and software. I know it will work with your scale because I use the same one. I'm telling you man, it's a game changer. I rely on that thing a ton. It won't take the place of your spray out library completely but it'll get you started in the right direction when it comes to matching cars. As you know, most of the variants aren't chipped. When you get the camera most all of the variants will be available to you chipped on your computer screen. It's pretty darn accurate too. I'd say 90% of the time that camera will give you the best possible match. Absolutely nothing wrong with how you're doing it now but that camera adds another tool to your arsenal. Take it easy.
Nice work mate and the stadic guns are great for everything I use mine daily but it’s not a new one it’s one of the really old ones that’s an over sized blow gun with the electric box on top of it it’s about 20 or so years old and still gose hard a new one to buy is like $3500 aud well outside my price range. But they’re really good even the old ones👍
Beautiful match! My wife had a Mazda CX5 in 46V. I had ordered touch up paint for it when we got the car and what they sent me was the base, candy and clear in little jars with brushes in the cap. Totally impossible to make it look right.
Very interesting technique you used on the candy, I don't know how you blend a colour like this as you are laying candy over the original candy on the blend so on each pass aren't you darkening the blend area🤔 Superb job there Kandy Man👏🙏👍John UK
Nice blend! 👌👌 . I do the same process with candies , but let the trigger back to just air so I don't waste too much paint 😳 . The new darker red (51v?) Is more of a pita to blend!!
Always look forward to your videos young man. Great tips as always!!! Just wondering why you don't use the SU4901 and SU4902 b before you apply the SUA4903? Obviously your system works but looking forward to what you have to say Cheers, William
I used them for many years cost is high hard to get paid from insurance companies for all these products and prep nowadays.and this way, I have had great success for years with no Peelers 💪💪💪👊
When you clean and scuff the blend panel are you using a gray or red scuff pad? I know I’ve seen you say in a prior video but I would like to start doing this process. Thanks for all the informative content, I need to start writing down all this knowledge. I’ve been in the collision world for 30 years and always learning new tricks to make sure the jobs come out like it was never in an accident
@kandyman5315 im asking because we use 530, which i tend to agree with you that its not the grestest clear. However the other painter who also has seniority claims that 550 or 5050 cant be used in production because it dries so much slower. We normally bake 530 clear @160 for 30 mins.

Came out really nice.. just did a lexus 3t5 last week.. almost the same color
I doubled the candy did a spray out to check the color covered with one coat then finished with untinted clear over the hole job
I'll have to try the square trick. it totally makes sense, and the results speak for themselves.
👊👊

Great video as always, any chance of getting a video on how you prep a car for paint that has been ceramic coated?
Great suggestion!
It is not easier to use your clear as wet bed for the candy ? You avoid the showing up after a year or two
I don't blame them for running to Mazda that 46v looks phenomenal!
I always tell guys you’re trying to mimic the robots motion to get it to lay down the same way.
Thanks again, homie! Ecogun (EG-2) Ionizing Air Gun is affordable and well worth it!!
Thanks for the insight

@kandyman5315 that is good to know brother. Thank you for responding

Both work fine
@@kandyman5315 thank you sir
How long does that color last typically being it’s a candy before it fades, I doubt everyone has a garage to keep it inside
Funny just was talking about that. There will be a lot of faded vehicles running around sooner than later
@@kandyman5315 car loose half it’s value then 😂 or pay 10k plus to have it resprayed
@paintbykevin886 like ford's Lazer red
What temp and how long do you bake your 5050 clear?
25

@@joe2.017 530 is much faster for sure
@joe2.017 but they do have 4 hardners for It l use slow. dch 3070 speeds it right up
What happened to the kid that was helping you out in some of your videos?? Did you fire him??
He went back to his old line of work
